This is 2nd time we have used Appalachian and couldn't be happier. Ryan and the team were professional, prompt and very thorough with the removal of requested trees. They arrived on time with a full team, got everything cut down and cleaned up just as requested. I will recommend them to anyone looking for great service and great value!! read more

Excellent experience- their assessment of the health of my trees matched what two certified arborists told me. Two other tree trimming companies tried to tell me a huge tree in my yard needed to come down immediately- Appalachian said it looked fine and if I liked it they didn't see any reason to cut it down. Their response time to give an estimate was fantastic, and the estimate was detailed and exactly what we discussed. Fair, competitive pricing, and they required us to be home so we could review the details of the job prior to beginning, then Knocked on the door to get our final approval before wrapping up. Great company. Highly recommend for Kennesaw, Marietta, Acworth... Metto Atlanta in general. read more

The entire Team is always a pleasure to work with. I have used their service muitiple times and each time they have been quick on a response and getting me on the schedule to complete the work in Acworth. I would, and do, recommend them! read more

I've used Appalachian several times over the years, and they are a terrific company. They evaluate the needs , provide a reasonable quote and appear when they say that they will to do the job. Ryan's team is careful, efficient, professional and do a great cleanup when done. I'm in Smyrna, but I recommended them to my son in Woodstock for a huge maple in his front yard. He took videos of them doing the job and was surprised how well they worked and how quickly they took that tree down and carted it all away! read more

I used Appalachian Tree Service to cut down a big Pube Tree that was dead . They did a great job of cutting it down without a lot of dents to the yard . Now the fantastic part of this review is that my wife noticed some hanging , broken branches on a nearby tree that was hit by fallen branches from the pine . I CALLED DEVIN AND HE GOT SOMEONE OUT TO FIX IT . THANKS Appalachian , Great job! read more

I have hired Appalachian Tree Service multiple times and I would highly recommend them if you want quality fast service with great clean up. Thank you Ryan, Devon and crew! Y'all are great! read more

Ryan's amazing crew cut down four large pine trees, three of which were right next to my fence and they never hit the fence. They were friendly, hard working and did a fantastic job. They cleaned up all the debris and left my yard clean. I can't tell you what a difference it made getting those leaning trees down. Now I can not worry that a strong storm will take them out. I've known Ryan for over 20 years and he will do a great job for you. read more

I honestly couldn't be anymore happier with the work that they did. Everything from the first phone call to clean-up went smooth. Appalachian Tree Service hits the mark on service, price, timeliness, knowledge, strong worth ethic, and professionalism. If I could give them more stars, I would. I highly recommend them. read more

We have used Appalachian Tree Service for a number of years and they have always done a great job. They're professional, on-time (with calls to let you know they're on the way) and complete the job thoroughly with great clean up. We recently had trees removed and hedges cut away from fence lines. Their team of 6 workers were finished in an hour and a 1/2. They always ask if anything additional is needed before finishing up. Great group of people to work with and I highly recommend. read more

I reached out to Ryan initially a year ago and received a quote for removal of trees in our backyard within our fence line, but shortly thereafter, discovered I was pregnant. Needless to say, tree removal became the least of my worries and we put it on the back burner. After her birth, we started to revisit home improvement jobs and quickly remembered the contact we had made with Ryan. I reached out to 4 other businesses to compare pricing and quickly discovered the Ryan's was the most fair AND would come with the least amount of damage to our propriety. They hand carry all trees out, meaning no heavy machinery to destroy the lawn you've worked hard on or nothing crazy like removing panels from pre-existing fences, which is what every other company mentioned would have to be done. I reached out to Ryan and asked if he would honor the quote he had given me the previous year and without hesitation he obliged. We couldn't have been more excited. The staff called the day before to confirm we had been worked into the schedule, which we GREATLY appreciated, and they were out as promised the next day. My husband timed it from beginning to end and this crew was AMAZING! All trees removed and property cleaned up and returned to its original state. If you could imagine with a ton of trees and branches being removed there comes a lot of debris. They used a blower and raked it all. It was like they had never been there! We highly recommend Ryan's and his crew and will use them for any other projects of this type in the future. read more

I have used Appalachian Tree Svc multiple times for simple limb cutting as well as challenging whole tree removals and everything in between. They are the only tree service I will use. Their prices are very competitive and they do great work. They are on time, very communicative, and also clean up afterward very well. I highly recommend. read more

Appalachian Tree Service in Kennesaw, GA, just expertly removed 2 huge - extremely tall - trees from the edge of a hill that is very close to our house. I couldn't imagine how the trees could be brought down safely but they did it! I had observed them 2 weeks prior as they removed a tree at my next door neighbor's house and was very impressed with the quality of their work. Another aspect of our situation here is that it's not possible to bring much heavy equipment up to the back of our house but that wasn't a problem as they either carried the debris or rolled the logs to the debris trailer to be hauled away. They cleaned up before leaving and were very pleasant during the process. We highly recommend them and will choose them for any future service needs. read more

Trim expensive Japanese Maple trees a foot and a half from the house exterior to prepare for replacement of some stucco and painting of the entire house. Every time I have employed this tree service they have always provided exceptional service at a reasonable cost. The owner and entire crew are friendly, professional, responsive, courteous and always on time. I would not hesitate to hire them again and again because I am confident I will get more than my money's worth. I highly recommend them. read more

I highly recommend this company. We had two large trees that needed quite a bit of trimming. They came out right away and gave us estimates. Their pricing was very reasonable. Scheduling was very easy and all of the workers were very professional and had us check their work as they went along. When they were done the owner of the company came by to make sure we were happy with the work. One reason we decided to go with this company is that they were the only company (out of 3 estimates) that didn't try to encourage us to completely remove the trees. They explained how they would trim but leave enough of the trees that they would still look good and they did exactly that! read more

Today I had 5 trees removed by Appalachian Tree Service, my 4th visit from them in the last 7 years. A tall dead pine tree, covered with pine beetles, was next to my neighbor's fence and it was unsafe to climb. It took them several hours to figure how to take it down without harming my neighbor's fence. The picture shows the top of the diseased tree being cut from an adjacent tree. Their concern was always for my fence, my neighbor's fence and the safety of their workers. Work was completed very professionally with ongoing consultation with my neighbor and me. Always nice to deal with professionals! read more

From changing brakes to mowing my yard, I prefer to do things myself. However, cutting down trees is best left to people who know what they're doing. ATS knows what they're doing. Across the number of jobs friends and family have hired them to do, I've always been impressed. The owner, Ryan, is hands on. Unlike a lot of other service companies, ATS stays until the job is done right. Cutting a tree looks easy, just like calling 9-1-1 when you fall is easy. Save yourself the hospital bill and get Appalachian Tree Service to deal with your trees. We're glad we did. read more

This is the first time my husband has put me in charge of something of this nature. It was a big honor and responsibility...lol. I could not write enough good things about Appalachian Tree Service!! From the initial phone call I made to them to the completion of the tree removal, they (especially Mr. Devin) have been honest and professional in every way. He advised me what it all entailed, what needed to be done at each step, and everything went according to plan. If I come across anyone and overhear them speaking about getting a tree removed, I will butt right in and tell them how wonderful Appalachian Tree Service is!! It is so nice to come across and do business with such a great company!! read more

Out of the three estimates I received for tree removal, Sean with Appalachian Tree Service was the ONLY one to set up an appointment and meet me face to face. We discussed the trees I wanted removed and because of Sean taking the time to actually introduce himself and tell me about how Appalachian would do the job, etc., I hired them and not just the original work but the secondary quote I asked for to remove some trees on my side yard. The other vendors only did a drive by and an emailed quote. The ATS team was fast, courteous, and professional. I would without hesitation recommend them and will use them again. read more

They came out right away to look at the job and sent me the estimate that night. They did the work on time and at a reasonable price. I would use them again . read more

We have a dozen big Bradford Pear trees in our yard that require regular maintenance in order to keep them healthy. We called Appalachian Tree service to crown these trees and shape them. Their response was fast and their work was unsurpassed. This was a pretty big job but their crew finished the work and cleaned up in record time, especially considering how bad the weather has been. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future. read more

My tree project included the removal of a large red-tip bush, small tree and pruning a water oak tree that has large branches looming over my house. I could not have been more pleased with selecting Appalachian Tree Service for the job. Ryan S. was a pleasure to do business with. He's punctual, professional and provided a reasonable estimate for the job. I came home after the Appalachian Tree Service crew was done and was thrilled with the results. (I've included before/after pics) They left the yard clean and was very thorough and careful with the job. The yard looks great! I have referred them to my neighbors, friends and family and will call them again when I have another tree project. read more

I have used this company several times since I moved to Georgia, and they have always done an excellent job.

Did not end up choosing them but the whole quote experience was great. Very professional and responsive. Will consider for next job.

Absolutely fantastic job by all. Ryan came out and gave a fair estimate. He was professional, honest and gave me options. Then, his team came when they said they would be here and did EXACTLY what we talked about. Devin and the crew worked fast and the best part is they did a great job and I always worry about clean up and how someone leaves when they are done. This company is fantastic and I will use EVERY time. Wish I could give them more than 5 starts read more

Ryan and the team at Appalachian Tree Service were fantastic. We used the Debris Hauling Service after we had two trees come down in our backyard in the storm in November. Other tree services we called couldn't get to the job until late December so we cut the trees up ourselves and moved them to the front. None of the other tree services were willing to come out and move it and I found Appalachian after searching online and calling over the city. So glad we finally found them. They were professional, gave us an honest estimate of when they could come out to get the tree and charged us a very fair price. Highest recommendation. read more

Appalachian Tree Service is the best. Professional, courteous, high quality work, reasonable price. They cut down four trees for me, one of which was very large and not easy to deal with. The crew was efficient and tidy, they left my yard looking nicer than it was before they got here. Thanks so much! I will most definitely be calling Appalachian Tree Service with future tree needs. read more

These guys did work for me about a year ago and did a fantastic job. Since then, I refer them to all my customers and friends who need a good tree guy. They have a super fast response time and the prices are great. My friends can't stop telling me how much they appreciate the referral! Be sure to ask for Sean...he'll take good care of you!! read more

I wasn't sure if our trees needed removed or just trimmed, during the initial estimate they said they could just trim for house clearance. So my job ended up being pretty small but they were great to work with. The crew was about 5 minutes late and the crew leader apologized right away. I was pleasantly surprised. He reviewed with me what was to be done, confirmed I was happy before the guys got off the roof. I paid my card and they sent the invoice with a link to pay within an hour of them leaving. I will definitely call them and refer to anyone looking. read more

I called another tree service and couldn't get a callback. A neighbor recommended Appalachian, so I submitted an online request for an estimate. Within an hour, Ryan called me to let me know that Sean would contact me. Sean came to our home the next day, gave me a verbal quote, and then emailed me the paperwork. Our job was initially going to be coordinated with other work that they expected to be doing in our community, but Sean ultimately contacted me to set a date with us so that we could be taken care of. On the scheduled day, they were a little bit ahead of schedule and Sean contacted me again to make sure that they could start a little sooner. The work was done expertly and with great care for the lawn and the surrounding landscape. In our case, they HAND CARRIED the trunk sections from our yard to the curb! (Just as you see in their pics). The cleanup was meticulous. This is probably way too many words to simply say, "Great work and great customer service." read more

Best price and service around. Customer service second to none. From the estimate, removal, clean up , all was done with the utmost professionalism. Highly recommend this company! read more

Ryan, Sean and team did an excellent job on a large, multi-day project. The December storm that dumped nine inches of snow on us took down a bunch of trees in our yard, and damaged many others that either needed to come down or be pruned--at least 28 trees overall. They did everything they said they would do--and a bit more--and left the yard looking good as new. And they were a pleasure to do business with, as I had concerns about wildlife and also needed to wait for the weather to break because of a (TNR'd) feral cat family that lives on my property. Yep, they understood. Great work, great people. Highly recommend Appalachian Tree Service of Atlanta, Inc. read more

We expected to be pleased, and we were! Ryan (the owner) came to give us the estimate. The price was reasonable, and the work was promptly and thoroughly done. He promised excellent customer service, and we were not disappointed with any aspect of the work. The trees were trimmed carefully, debris was blown off of the roof, and the yard was left looking neat. We would give the company A+ and would highly recommend them! read more

Honest, on time, diligent, fair pricing and competent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Sent both quote and insurance before work began. Excellent clean up when finished. No need to ask for other quotes. Just hire Appalachian! read more

They are true professionals. Their insurance was provided in advance listing us as additionally insured, per our request. We have used several other tree companies in past years, obviously never reusing the ones prior. We had four trees removed and pruning on a massive pine that was previously hit by lightning. One was a completely dead, massive oak tree, with a ~4' base. We were afraid it would hit our shop if it fell. The very well-trained team of 4 guys (led by Devon) set up a pulley system with their hauler (which had it own crane within the bed) and dropped it perfectly. The second was an over-60' tall pine. One guy climbed it, cutting limbs off as he went up; and they again chainsawed/pulled the rest of it over, dropping it perfectly in place. The third was near our house, and again cut/pulled over. The fourth was over a river stone bed. They took great care of our property, and cleaned up everything beautifully before leaving. They even left us some of the wood for firewood. They didn't ask to be paid before they were done, as some companies do; and made sure everything was done as we asked. The hauler had to come back the next day to get the remainder of one of the bigger trees due to it being dark; and they did it first thing. The owner, Ryan, even made a sudden schedule change for us to the next day, as we had a last minute personal emergency. So grateful for their professional service and very reasonable price! Someone else would have quoted twice the amount due to not having their own equipment. We have already recommended Appalachian Tree Service to two others, and will definitely use them again. read more

A couple of days ago I left an average review, which for some reason has disappeared. I wanted to revise it. However, I will start over. I had these guys come over and trim some trees and bushes, which had become overgrown. One of the trees is a Maple. They cut the Maple a little too much for my taste. The canopy is a little too high for me. Hopefully it grows in more over the next couple of years. I also had a River Birch, which they trimmed and they did a great job on that. I couldn't be happier. The two Holly's they cut back. They looked a little chopped at the top, but upon further review, they did a really good job, or at least as good as they could have done under the circumstances. I did some additional trimming on the Holly's to round the top a little. They also cut back the Evergreen in the back, but I have not had a chance to really take a close look at it yet. The only thing I wished, was that they give me a little more notice that they were going to arrive earlier than what I was told. They were supposed to be at my house around noon and got there an 1 1/2 earlier than expected. By the time I got home, they had already finished everything, which means I could not give them any ideas on how I wanted the Maple to be cut. That is my only real issue. read more
