In trying to make things easier to handle, a worker was informed to cut off supporting branches of a huge limb that was perched on my tree. Doing so caused the limb to break free of the tree itself and not just pull out my power lines to my house, but also hit the roof in a way that caused the eaves and connected gutter to separate some from the roof itself. They did the job quickly and got all branches up as stated, but their cleanup afterwards was limited primarily to the branches and the initial blowing off of the roof to work on it. The roof and the walkway to my house were left covered in saw dust. Before I paid the company, their responses were quick and professional. After they left and I noticed the damage to the roof -- all that would be needed was to hammer the eaves back in and make sure no further damage is done to the gutter -- it took hours to hear back from the company. A week ago they said they would send someone out to do a quick repair and I imagine since they have the money, they have no need to try and continue to provide good service.

It was clearly an emergency situation and he was able to have a quote done quickly and a crew scheduled for that Friday morning. Absolutely excellent service from the start to the finish! We haven't addressed our trees in almost…read morefive years. It was time! The canopies were very low, lots of broken and dead limbs, and we had a few trees that were so overgrown that they were against the house and roof. The initial walkthrough was with Chase Hartman, a Certified Arborist. We looked at every tree on my property and discussed what could be done to it to raise the canopy, thin it out, check for damage and disease, and make sure it's healthy and will continue to flourish. At the end of the walk, they were going to limb up and thin out six huge trees in my front yard, take down a pine and oak that had grown together and were way too close to my home, take down six dead Leyland Cyprus and two huge pine trees that if they fell, would crush my home. A week later, the crew arrived with two trucks, a bobcat loader, a chipper, and eight very experienced crew. They sized up the access to the property, spoke with my neighbors to ask to use their driveways to get to my backyard, and went to work. It was incredible to watch professionals practice their craft! They systematically worked on the two large pines in the backyard by climbing the tree and cutting limbs as they went up. Piling up the limbs to be pulled away by the bobcat to the chipped. Within two hours, both large pines were gone, and work started on the cypress, which they made quick work of. They arrived at eight AM and left at one-thirty PM. Professional from start to finish. They protected my yard, my neighbors' yards, and systematically, cleanly dropped ten trees and cleaned/limbed up six trees. They were priced competitively, took care of the permitting, and got the work done in a timely manner. Beyond that, they cleaned up after themselves and had our property looking immaculate afterwards. The crew cleaned up after the work was completed so that there was no dust or wood chips on our roof (and our neighbor's roof since they had to access the neighbor's property to fully take down the tree). Anyone visiting us the next day would've never known that we just had a giant tree cut down. There was some oil spillage on our paved alley/driveway from a chainsaw that broke while cutting down the tree, and Northside provided us with a free power wash to take care of the problem. Northside does excellent work and I recommend them if you need a tree taken down.
