They were suppose to come out on 1-26-24 morning, but no one ever show up. I gave them a benefit of the doubt that they might be a little bit late. Couple hours past still no show. So I contacted them and they said that they will have someone to come over the next morning. Next morning come, they show up. Pricing was way different from what they gave me. It could of been my fault that they gave me an estimate before I send in a picture with a drawing of how I want the tree to be cut (only 5 cuts needed on the tree). And I didn't ask afterwards. I was assuming it would be the same estimated price since they didn't give me a new price after the picture. Anyways, job wise was good. They cut it how I wanted. Communication, not so good. I needed a tree grinded and hauled away and roots killed. Tree was already cut down with a two foot stump left and the tree to be cut up and hauled off. A female showed to provide a quote with husband in truck. She gave me a quote then insisted I keep the wood for fires, I said if the wood is good to keep I don't mind keeping some, she said she would stack it up nicely and clean the area. When they arrive next day, tree ended up being unable to burn, they increased price to haul. I said no, I will not pay more - if you can't do it for that amount I will find someone else as I had other quotes. Long story short - they accepted the job.... After multiple phone calls and texts while at work -- I was called a bitch by Shawna and yelled at over the phone. I told her she wasn't welcome at my home or to call me anymore. She wanted the money upfront after 1/2 of the work and said they would come back next day- I said no! Finish the job and you get paid. They made 3 trips back over a few days it was ridiculous. Very unprofessional and unprepared. Only reason I gave a two start is due to Edgar that came to finish the job - was really nice. Didn't know English but made the best and good kid. read more

i have used this company for about 10 years and they have been excellent, but three days ago they started a job which became the job from hell for me. the chipper broke as soon as they started. they continued to trim tree and brought in a trailer to remove the limbs. while taking the trailer through gate to back yard they hit and broke gate and 4x6 fence post. they fixed gate but post still broken. I was not paying attention and paid them and then saw they had not touched the one and only tree in front yard. when I told the female who appeared to be in charge and took my money about the un cut tree she said I don't remember saying we were going to do it. she said she would have to tell Juan and he would probably be back today or tomorrow but two days later and no Juan. We used Chavez Tree Services to trim and prune our mature trees. His response time was within 10 minutes and Juan & Shawna came out to give us a quote the same day, we hired them and they started immediately, the same day. We had several trees to be trimmed and a 40' Palm Tree that had never been trimmed. Juan & Shawna and their crew almost finished the same day, but their grinder was completely full from all our tree trimmings. They came back the next day and cleaned all the debris and grinder more in the hopper. They cleaned everything up and professionally trimmed our trees.
