One of the larger Chatimes I've been to. Always come here whenever I visit my sister in Waterloo. Gets pretty busy during regular weekday and weekend night, but pretty chill earlier in the day (this was taken Sunday close to noon). This is one of the more spacious locations I've been.l to. Great for large groups, possibly good for studying but I'd imagine it getting pretty loud on busy days. Staff seems really friendly and one of the few locations that has a bit of desserts available for purchase too. (Macarons, cookies, etc.)

So glad Chatime made its way to Waterloo. This branch runs at a slower pace than the equivalent Toronto branches, though still the same great flavour. IMO way better than Sweet Dreams & Noon Moment, but obviously a bit more expensive than the other two options. They tend to run a lot of discount & promotion events, too (ie. BOGO, or during the World Cup, it was cheap pricing to buy an oversized cup.) Large amount of seating, which is great for those who want to stay to hang out or study. Free wifi provided, though a bit spotty (Password is their phone #). They also tend to be closed when university final exams have finished so double check their fb page to avoid making the trip if you don't need to.

Came into chatime wanting Thai pearl milk tea but unfortunately they ran out of tapioca so I thought they would've at least compromise with the topping since they ran out tapioca so they charge me for grass jelly true.

Ordered their red bull series drink, and it was about average. If you don't like to taste the red bull flavour, I do suggest you to have at least 50% sugar level. If you choose anything below 30%, you can taste the red bull aftertaste. I love their interior design which adds some point to the overall score. Overall, it's a great place to chill and hang out with friends.

A large store with lots of seating and good bubble tea! Sometimes their wifi is spotty and it's quite dark inside so it's not the best study spot. Their drinks are always great quality in my opinion! :-)

Oolong Tea Mousse. Definitely a peanut butter and chocolate moment!

After months of seeing friends on Facebook sharing their experience at Chatime. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. So when I walked into the store I was surprise to see a shorter line than I had expected - maybe because it was exam period for students in Loo. While studying the menu (overwhelmed by the ridiculously long menu) the girl at the cashier offered me samples of different toppings to help me with my decision. So finally with her recommendation & guidance I choose their Oolong mousse with 50% ice and sugar. Surprisingly the Oolong tea flavor was very pronounced and the mousse on top was sweet yet there was a hint of savory after taste. It was a strange but tasty match. Just like that magical moment when you taste peanut butter and chocolate for the first time -you'll never thought the two thing would complement each other so well until you actually took the guts to taste it. This was like Chatime's peanut butter cups! Verdict: Great service & delicious drink! I would of given Chatime a 4 stars but the extra star was for the attentive girl at the cashier who helped me picked out a drink - extremely patience. Now I understand what all the noise was about. I'm now officially a fan! Chatime you will definitely see me again.

Mousse green tea (normal sweetness and ice is fine) Coconut slushie (be sure to get less sugar for slushie)

For sure one of the most pricey bubble tea shop around UW and Laurier campus, but somehow still extremely popular. A size small cup is $4.2 for bubble tea and large is 4.7. I ordered the matcha mousse and it was amazing, but it's a hassel that I had to manually mix the tea and mousse on my own first. The shop has some cool seating areas, good for hanging out with friends. I would come back to this place occassionally, but the prices is the main factor that keeps me away.

Long line up on opening day! There were free samples of various milk teas and cupcakes. Would recommend the Grass Jelly Roasted Milk Tea, it has more flavour. :) The milk tea is good, but I think you can get better value at Noon Moment down the street.... cheaper, just as good and shorter line.

Both yummy! But as you can see from the sticker on the left drink, there was supposed to be grass jelly!!! :O

I had the roast milk tea with grass jelly and it brings back memories of Taiwan/Hong Kong.

As we walked in, I noticed the open concept and minimal decor and fell in love with it! We were greeted by both the employees working right away and I must say, the customer service was perhaps the best part of the entire experience. We were never rushed to order as they gave us plenty of time to debate the menu and when it came time to order, the gentleman was very thorough and helpful with the sizes of drinks, explaining the milk alternatives which are free of charge, order was clarified to ensure it was correct - all in all, you could feel he took his time to get things right for us. When our iced matcha beverages were handed off, he realized he didn't let us know they come Una's a default and there, he offered simple syrup or vanilla syrup of our choosing since we do prefer our matcha sweetened. After tasting, we told him two pumps wasn't sweet enough and he kindly added more syrup for us. I personally ordered the seasonal white chocolate matcha as a hot beverage which was tasty but a little too sweet - I would request for half sweet next time. I also got the sea salt chocolate chip cookie as I couldn't resist (it looked so good in the pastry display!) It turned out to be absolutely delicious - the edges being the best part. My mom said it paired well with her Americano which was made with their Heritage blend. Speaking of which, before my mom ordered her coffee, she was offered to try their brew before buying which was really helpful as it ended up being too acidic for her. The Heritage blend was much more her preference with the nutty notes. All in all, a nice place to study and/or grab a coffee and snack to go! I'd highly recommend anyone to visit if in the area.

They didn't have any March specials or anything; I love a seasonal or limited drink. They have your common cafe options and flavored syrups to choose from, along with a variety of tea. The server was very kind and was willing to think up something unique for me when I asked if they had any specials. I went with a hot classic Hazelnut latte. The coffee was creamy, not too sweet, and the hazelnut was subtle. They had different pastries, sandwiches, and cakes to choose from. I got a bacon egg croissant sandwich, which they kindly heated up. I really liked the croissant they used; it wasn't so flaky that with every bite I was making a mess. The tomato jam they used was sweet but paired really well with the ingredients! Honestly would love to try to recreate this at home because it was just that good. It was a warm cozy place, small area with a small side table with about 3-4 bar stools; it's connected to the restaurant (The Bauer Kitchen). This was a pleasant first visit and would definitely come again.
