Stopped by this coffee shop while visiting Stratford. They had lots of drinks and pastries available. I got the matcha latte and a cookie. Both were pretty good. I also love how it's dog friendly inside! I'll have to bring my pup next time I'm in the area. read more

Revel is a cute coffee shop in downtown Stratford. They have a large selection of specialty coffee drinks as well as pastries. Revel offers both indoor and outdoor seating. There have comfy couches as well as tables and chairs. The decor was also fun. Overall the coffee and pastries were good. Revel was a nice place to start the day. read more

We loved this little shop. We visited each of the days we were in Stratford. The savory scones were scrumptious!!! Good lattes. Enjoyed a nice hot chai. Very friendly staff. Met the new owners who were nice and chatty. Loved the community table with its history. read more

I really like Revel, for many reasons (to follow). The downgrade of one star is that they don't take cards, and don't tell you before you order. When we did, the barista was a little short with us. I know you're not interested in taking cards NOW, but perhaps a sign on the door would have helped this question that you probably get a zillion times a day. That said, here's what we love about Revel: The coffee. Delicious! I had a cortado, which was served with bubbly; Lillie had a latte with oat milk, which she loved; and my mom got tea, which she also enjoyed. The baristas make a mean drink! :) I've never had anything disappointing here. The seating is interesting - several tables, a few couches in the back by the piano, high top and low bench stools with counters, and a large table for a crowd (or several smaller groups). A nice way to end our trip in Stratford. I'm currently off caffeine so I had an herbal tea. It was served on a bamboo tray which was a nice touch. A nice place to enjoy a light breakfast. Coffee with ATTITUDE Returned to Stratford 3 years post Covid. We were so looking forward to getting a great latte at a favourite spot. We realize changes due to the pandemic happen with most businesses. However we were insulted by the arrogance of the employees. Now the largest latte cup is 12 oz for the same price instead of the usual 16 oz. They charged an additional $2.95 for some extra milk. Only debit accepted. No cash and a surcharge for using a credit card. What was really galling was the attitude... take it or leave it and frankly we will leave it and never go back. Time for another coffee place. Fortunately there are other choices and places to spend our hard earned cash. Too bad. read more

Service with attitude sometimes; often completely out of food/snacks items; have to come super early. The pastries, cookies, etc. are really delicious. It can get really loud & large groups taking most of the space every time I've been in. read more

This is the type of coffee shop that reminds me that some people DO get it. You can serve coffee and food, or you can do it quite well. Revel Cafe is the latter. My latte was perfect in flavor and in temperature. Revel goes out of the way to make sure their cups come out at a drinking temperature instead of slightly too hot (burnt) like that other coffee shop that's everywhere. I was also lucky enough to order the last Donut Du jour. A brioche cake donut with a thick quince jam layered in almost butter tart style, Topped with a vanilla bean frosting and a sort of oat crumble. It was rich but not unbalanced. The venue is really nice and the coffee is good. I ordered a coconut latte and got a latte with coconut oil. It wasnt bad.. I really dont know what I was expecting.. but I thought there would be some coconut flavour too and not just scent. Still good coffee though. The patio out back is nice with quite a bit of seating. One thing cafes don't have enough of is patio space, and this one was actually pretty big compared to most. I'd go back there again. read more

I stopped in here for an Americano and would totally come back. Rich, full bodied coffee, well made by some friendly staff. It's a busy place with a bit of a hipster vibe, nestled in the very touristy town centre. The shop has it's own counter for pour overs, and with coffee this good, totally worth a try. read more

The environment was good, a lot of bees outdoor though. But not a good experience for us. They do not accept credit card however, they said they accept US dollar. But it turned out what they did is that they just take the US dollar as Canadian dollar without the changing ratio. So the bill was 13 and we gave them a 20 USdollar bill and get 7 Canadian dollar back. So I guess lucky we didnt give a hundred dollar bill. Honestly we would be OK with it as long as they told us first. But nobody gave any indication at all. read more

Hands down the best coffee in Stratford and possibly Southwest Ontario. This is a place that serves no brewed filter coffee. Rather a normal coffee is an Americano. The bariste and baristi will tailor the strength of your coffee by adjusting the amount of water. Their "Anne Special," which isn't on the official menu is basically a double espresso with one part water. Their lattes, espressos, and cortados are done with care and precision. Their baked good are hearty. Choices can be limited after 11:00 am. A warning: they cater to the many locals, so if you're wanting a chain experience of using credit cards and US currencies with conversions, this isn't your place. If you want outstanding coffee while enjoying a true cafe experience, you will like Revel. read more

This was perfect for us after we moved in to our new place and were exhausted and in need of a caffeine fix. We both had their house espresso and my husband had a walnut muffin while I had a veggie cheese croissant. These were all excellent! I enjoyed the ambiance and the location immensely and can see this being our favorite neighborhood spot! They have a patio at the back and tons of seating inside too - bar style, small little tables, window seating, and a communal table. It reminds me of Astro coffee in Detroit but with nicer baristas. It would be awesome if they could add sandwich/panini style offerings, especially for breakfast. There are apparently evening cabaret events - must find out more! Highly recommended. read more

I didn't see a sign warning potential American customers that they don't accept American credit cards or debit cards, only take cash from Americans, and don't adjust for the different currency values ($1US = $1.33 Canadian). One of our favourite hangouts in Stratford. We started going there when they were still in the smaller location on Wellington before going to Market Square. Great Americano coffee, the only coffee in town I drink black! My daughters like trying out the various fizzy drinks and sweet snacks. You also never know which local celebrities you'll run into! read more

Revel Cafe is a fantastic place to get a latte. Every time I have went there they have always turned out perfect. The seating and atmosphere is very trendy and relaxing. I used to go there almost every day to grab a drink. It is extremely nice to sit out on the back patio in the warmer months. My only complaint is that the staff and the owner can be extremely rude sometimes. read more
