The 1L sized Three Monster during Halloween special

The quality of the drinks at this Coco location is comparable to the ones in Toronto in terms of the taste, and the prices are the same as well. They participate in Vicinity points program, where you get a free drink for every 10 purchases. They also offer the special promos that Coco runs Ontario wide ($3.8 large drinks monthly special, Halloween BOGO, etc). My go-to is always the original milk tea, 2 Ladies (original milk tea with tapioca and pudding), and 3 Guys (original milk tea with tapioca, pudding, grass jelly). Some of my friends also like their fruit teas, such as Lemon King and the Grapefruit tea.

    Banana pudding smoothie :)

Tried the banana pudding smoothie! Usually one of the most expensive items on the menu, it was on promotion during the Spring. With regular sugar, it wasn't too sweet, and tasted like everything I expected for a banana smoothie. Good flavour however, light and refreshing, and they use real bananas. Also a bit filling. Treat yo'self!

    Bubble Gaga

My go-to bubble tea shop Waterloo (and we definitely aren't short of options). I like Coco because it's reasonably priced, they have a large menu and their drinks are consistently made. My favourite drink is the Bubble Gaga (passion fruit juice with seeds, tapioca and coconut jelly) - I would recommend 0 sugar and less ice. There's not much space to sit in the store and it's not the best atmosphere (don't come for a date) but it's really good for grabbing a drink and leaving. The staff seem kind of overworked because of how busy they are. They have deals a lot so especially around those times the line can be like 20 minutes long.

Aside from the really long line that you may find when it is busy, this place is one of the best bubble tea places in Waterloo. My go to drinks are the pearl milk tea or 2 ladies. Both are very tasty compared to other bubble tea places. If you're looking for a place to chill with friends there is limited seating in the restaurant but more around linden square. Don't count on studying here or anything similar as it does get quite loud with all the people passing by. Sometimes the restaurant is packed but that's fine since linden square itself is very spacious.

Brown Sugar Pearl Latte ($4.25 + tax for large)

Taste : 7.5/10 Price : $4.25 + tax (limited time) Worth it: 6/10 A few days ago, I was finally able to get my hands on the long-awaited Brown Sugar Pearl Latte at Coco's. The Brown Sugar Pearl Latte isn't exactly a "latte"- it's basically milk and brown sugar tapioca. The taste of this drink was rather dismal because the ice level was unadjustable and there was just WAY too much tapioca. Moreover, the tapioca tasted like regular tapioca and lacked the brown sugar flavour. Although the drink was hyped, I personally wouldn't suggest trying it if you're looking for something new. Regardless, the other drinks are the menu are solid and I'd recommend trying some of their staples.

At my first visit of Coco, I found that the flavour of their Mango Green Tea was too sweet despite the fact that I ordered it with no sugar. I decided to give it another try and picked out one of their monthly specials. I had the Bubble Gaga (passionfruit tea with coconut jelly and tapioca) which costed $3.80 + tax for size large. This is my go-to drink now. Not too sweet, and it has a slight bitter taste. A satisfying drink even on a cold, winter day!

Super slow service, the line up is super long and you expect to wait at least 40 mins before you get to enjoy your so-so drink. To be completely honest, all bubble tea store taste the same. You do not need to wait 40 mins for bbt when you can just go to Campus Bubble and use ur WatCard.

They use the highest quality organic fruits and vegetables and are most famous for their cold-pressed juices. Instead of getting a cold-pressed juice, I decided to get one of their açai bowls. Here's my rundown: Food There were three açai bowls to choose from - classic, beauty, and soul. I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. Verdict Refresh is indeed a refreshing experience has they use only the finest organic fruits to make their products. I'm excited to return here to try their juices and other açai bowls. Definitely worth a try if you're roaming around downtown Guelph. A well-deserved 5/5 experience!

However, the topping were VERY skimpy!! the pictures show full slices of kiwi, plus like 7-8 slices of strawberries. in my large bowl I got 3 slices of kiwi cut into quarters, I received 4 very thin slices of strawberry which did not amount to even 1 full strawberry. My sister had a quarter of a banana, I think it was 4 thin slices, and she had 9 blueberries. Make your bowls look like your pictures! For $15 please give us more fruit!

Lots of base smoothie flavors and a very wide variety of fruity, dry, drizzled toppings. I ended up going for the acai bowl and chose coconut, blueberry, bee pollen, and banana as my toppings. She was very generous with the toppings, ensuring a perfect photo op! They also have frozen smoothies to take home so you just need to thaw them out. Taste wise, I think the toppings were really fresh, but the smoothie bowls are all pre made. It doesn't quite taste the same. I was hoping to see them blending orders as they came in for that fresh smoothie taste and delightful texture. Instead, it was already premade and frozen so it tasted a little watered down. Just slightly. And it was still icy. I just let it sit in the sun for a few minutes, and that worked perfectly. I love that they don't add sugar too. Definitely would return. If I lived in the area, I would get some more of the unique bases to take home. Definitely try the blue citrus one too! Beautiful look and tastes really refreshing!
