They use the highest quality organic fruits and vegetables and are most famous for their cold-pressed juices. Instead of getting a cold-pressed juice, I decided to get one of their açai bowls. Here's my rundown: Food There were three açai bowls to choose from - classic, beauty, and soul. I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. Verdict Refresh is indeed a refreshing experience has they use only the finest organic fruits to make their products. I'm excited to return here to try their juices and other açai bowls. Lots of base smoothie flavors and a very wide variety of fruity, dry, drizzled toppings. I ended up going for the acai bowl and chose coconut, blueberry, bee pollen, and banana as my toppings. She was very generous with the toppings, ensuring a perfect photo op! They also have frozen smoothies to take home so you just need to thaw them out. Taste wise, I think the toppings were really fresh, but the smoothie bowls are all pre made. It doesn't quite taste the same. I was hoping to see them blending orders as they came in for that fresh smoothie taste and delightful texture. Instead, it was already premade and frozen so it tasted a little watered down. Just slightly. And it was still icy. I just let it sit in the sun for a few minutes, and that worked perfectly. I love that they don't add sugar too. Definitely would return. If I lived in the area, I would get some more of the unique bases to take home. Definitely try the blue citrus one too! Beautiful look and tastes really refreshing!

I went here on Sunday afternoon and the two ladies working here were EXCELLENT…read more I bought a snack sized smoothie and a steak wrap and while I was taking my sweet, sweet time deciding on a smoothie, the girl making the smoothies asked if my friend was getting a wrap so she could grill them at the same time. And she was! It was Sunday... I'm glad they had their acts together because my friend and I sure did not. They let my friend substitute regular soy milk for chocolate soy milk and gave us good suggestions when we were asking for certain types of smoothies. The wrap tasted amazing. They have rice in them now which I didn't hate. We also decided on wheat grass shots to detoxify from all the weekend damage we had inflicted on our bodies. They taste like "getting your face shoved in grass while you're playing sports" as my friend so eloquently described. They gave you your choice of juice as a chaser. So cool. This needs to become my Sunday ritual. The girls also let me try a sample of my friend's smoothie which I thought was so sweet! It was a wonderful visit. :)

There's also some frozen strawberries inside the açai itself which was nice (gave the melting açai more texture - the cons of getting it delivered). The fruit on top was pretty fresh too. But the bowl was smaller than I expected and quite pricey.

I could only make it through a third of the portion and feel as though I've swallowed a bowl of candy.
