Cauliflower Wings (Thai Chili on top and Hot on the bottom)
Mike L.

3.75 We weren't too hungry, but it was lunchtime, and this place was recommended by the owner of the Airbnb we were staying at, so we decided to check it out. When you walk in, it looks like a typical bar--nice large bar in the middle with TVs behind it. It seemed to be a local favorite, judging by the crowd. Beer-wise, we tried the Strawberry Blonde Farmer's Daughter and the Czech'rd Past. Both were okay--typical microbrewery taste. Food-wise, we ordered the cauliflower wings (hot & Thai chili), Nacho Average Brew, and the fried pickles. The fried pickles were a nice surprise since they use spears instead of the usual chips. I wish the cauliflower wings were a bit crispier. I know they lose crispiness once the sauce is on, but they were a bit soggy when they came out. I definitely recommend the Thai chili flavor though. As for the nachos--they definitely aren't your average nachos. We added beef, which turned out to be chopped-up burger. Combined with arugula, it was a bit of an odd combination.

A lively brewery that has more of a pub feel with good food and good beers. I was pleased with the service and helpfulness of the staff. Was not really my type of brewery vibe but I was impressed with the menu options and the food was decent. All in all a good place but felt more like a sports bar than a brewery.

My family was visiting the area and my brother picked up a pack of Space Haze at a grocery store. We loved it and when we found out that the brewery was nearby and had won NYs Best Burger, we knew we had to go. All the food was excellent as was the beer. Of course I had the best burger and it was great, but I was surprised that was the award winner. Everyone else loved what they got, but the biggest surprise hit of all was the street corn Brussels sprouts which were ace.

Sausage, peppers and onions hoagie special

Updated review; it's still real good. Wings are still good. I got the 2024 award winning burger and I get it. It was delicious. My husband got the special, sausage pepper and onion hoagie - also delicious, although we both thought it could've used a little more filling. Oh! Onion rings (and onion ring sauce?!) NOT to be missed. Pretty much my ideal onion rings. The vibe is still on point, the wait staff are great, the beers (and cocktails!) delicious.

We always enjoy coming here. Service is great. Beers and special drinks are exceptional and the food is quite tasty. You'll love coming here too. Don't forget to take out a growler or two of the most delicious craft beers.

Nearly a decade later and this is still my family's all time favorite spot in the area. The beers are excellent (especially the mango and pineapple bombogenesis DIPAs) and the food is generally great. They partner with local farms for their meat and produce, and the dishes are inventive and hearty. My family absolutely loves the burgers and sweet potato fries. The only disappointments to date were a chickpea curry and a crispy Brussels sprouts dish that had a lot of toppings and was just trying to do too much. The restrooms are single stall/gender neutral, accessible, and have changing tables! Grab dinner and a beer and head across the street to catch a movie at the iconic Crandall Theater.

This place is off the Taconic, hidden Gem. Great food and service but even better beers. Their cooks produce amazing dishes and I would highly recommend you stop and wnjoy.

We've enjoyed Chatham Brewing beers for many years everywhere except in Chatham at the brewery. After a pleasant Saturday drive through some Massachusetts towns, a return route to home through Chatham offered us the opportunity to rectify this situation. There is a good-sized public parking lot adjacent to the brewery and following the posted instructions to see the bartender about outdoor seating, we scored the one remaining vacant patio picnic table. With so many draft choices to choose from, flights of four for $15 were called for. My eyes quickly spied the lower section of the menu titled "Darker Options." "Darker" is apparently quite relative here. Certainly no argument from me regarding the Dry Irish Stout. But Farmer's Daughter (IPA-rye) and Tasty Spring Lager (Vienna lager) do not qualify as "darker" in my book. Fortunately, I've always been a fan of Farmer's Daughter and the Vienna lager was quite good on a hot day. To finish off my flight I tried the Paleo (pale ale) which might have actually been my favorite of the four. My wife's flight repeated the Farmer's Daughter and the Dry Irish Stout and added a Hefeweizen and an O.G. Extra IPA, the O.G. being the most outstanding to her taste. Zucchini Fries ($12) were a special this day and seemed like a good pairing for our flights while we waited for our main course. These hand-battered and breaded fries were supper crispy and tasty on the outside but had little texture and flavor on the inside. With the addition of the jalapeño aioli for dipping, which was not very spicy, I had no difficulty finishing them. We both ordered another special of the day, the Chelsea Burger ($21) made with a Trowbridge Farm beef patty, mozzarella, pesto aioli, balsamic glaze, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Hand cut fries were also included as a side - my wife chose regular while I went with sweet potato ($2 surcharge). While both of our burgers were ordered medium-rare, neither one showed any pink. There didn't seem to be anything outstanding to the flavor of the meat, but the entire combination of ingredients and flavor, including the fresh sesame seeded buns, were very satisfying. Did I almost forget to mention how crispy and tasty the bacon was? Service was friendly and attentive considering a shortage of staff and the number of customers both inside and outside. We definitely would like to return.

Nice little outside area to eat, dog friendly. Great menu and a really good burger. Best onion rings! Beer was good. Tried a flight. Waitress was sweet. If we lived local we'd definitely go back.

Thai chili wings & french fries

Beer, wings and french fries! Name a better combo...I'll wait. Great first visit to Chatham Brewing, located on such a quaint street. I visited mid week during spring break. The bar had a couple groups. The bartender, Kate, was attentive and friendly. I tried a flight first. The Hefeweizen and Nor Eastah, IPA, were my favorites. Ok beer, wings, french fries and pizza is the ultimate combo, but this was definitely well deserving of 5 stars, even without pizza. I'd like to visit again and enjoy the outdoor seating!

Food was delicious but for the price I would say a little pricey. My son loved the chicken tenders and the burger was good. The beer was ok out of the four I tried I only really liked one but my husband liked his beer. The service was quick and friendly. I liked how they do the table side credit card. The ambiance was nice and comfortable. We had a side table with bench seating which was great for the kids. It wasn't too loud and enough seating we got a table right away around 5pm dinner on a Saturday.

Beautiful architecture, dating back hundreds of years. We were impressed by the People's Pub. Pool and darts on the second floor, and bar and dining area on the first. We spent a good amount of time admiring the wood work around the bar and restaurant, as well as the tin ceilings. We ordered more food that we probably should have, but it all sounded so good, that with the winter menu coming to a close, we knew we would likely not have a chance to order it again. We chose to sit at the bar, and enjoyed a whiskey and pisco sours, made with actual eggs. The open kitchen is a nice touch, and it was nice to see the well staffed restaurant handle the Friday night dinner crowd. Portions for most dishes were a generous size, and we enjoyed the variety of choices. We can't wait to come back to try the spring menu, or to come on one of the special nights, such as the live Irish music.

Let's start with the wedding itself. Their range of menu options and bar service is so vast that you will surely find what you're looking for. And if you don't, they are more than willing to adapt to your desires. We worked together to create the best menu for our big day and it came together perfectly. The photos you see online are real. The food is not only delicious but served beautifully. And they work with the Owls Hoot Barn (among other venues in the area) all the time so have everything perfectly coordinated with the venue. We also hosted our Friday night welcome party and Sunday family brunch at their pub, and it was the perfect location, set five minutes from where our guests were staying. They were so hospitable and accommodating and went the extra mile to prepare the venue for our guests and make it the most beautiful, special spot for these moments. Not to mention the food, which was amazing. Their fee includes everything, so there are absolutely no surprises. Their staff is wonderful. They do it all, from food to the bar, from small gatherings to large affairs. We feel like family and look forward to eating at their pub for many years to come. The slightly rustic, lodge type of interior matches the friendly vibes as well as the interesting drink selections, including a side menu filled with signature coffee whiskey cocktails! Their tipsy cocktails and beer menu is also quite attractive. My group and I were able to walk in on a weekend evening for dinner with no wait and while it was packed inside, it still felt roomy enough. However, the surrounding tables were rowdy and the noise was reverberating. Our server was attentive though she did admit it was busy and the wait time for orders would take a bit longer than usual. The menu has plenty of starters that are highly shareable, poutine, salads, soups, mac and cheese, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and quesadillas. Haven't had real poutine in ages so I decided to try their gravy fries with smoked cheese curds and added bacon. It was a good portion for the price ($15+) and came out hot on a cast iron skillet. The cheese curds weren't the type I expected and melted down too much, and did not have that squeaky cheese bite one would want in poutine. The gravy and the bacon worked well with the fries though! The smoked brisket French onion soup ($8+) was extremely hot when it first came out and I had to let it cool down before taking a spoonful. The cheese was so bubbly and delicious and the soup itself was flavorful (maybe a tad too salty), and had a balanced amount of onions and brisket. I would definitely get the soup again. Their barbecue pulled pork quesadilla ($15+) was also a bit too salty and meat was more tough than preferred. We also tried two of their mac and cheese selections, which came in a small cast iron pot each ($17+). The bacon chicken ranch mac and cheese was good but the jerk chicken mac and cheese was not as memorable (not much jerk flavor). Kudos for having a build-your-own mac and cheese option as well as a mac and cheese flight if you want to try more than one flavor. I'm glad to return to try other menu items at this tap and tavern and see what else catches my eye. While this visit wasn't spectacular, it also wasn't bad. The French onion soup is one thing I know I'd get over and over again. Oh, they also have a credit card transaction fee that you will see once you get the bill. Pay in cash if you mind said fee.

The pigs in a blanket were way more elevated than your average bar snack--wrapped well, seasoned with everything bagel spice, and super flavorful. A fun and unexpected highlight. The real star of the apps though? The watermelon and burrata salad. Juicy, fresh, light--it was the exact kind of dish you want on a summer night. Refreshing and satisfying all at once. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi but asked to add salmon for an extra protein boost (which they happily did). My husband got the seared tuna, and I'll admit--major food envy.
