It's a cute little winery with small indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating and a deck. The inside is cute and cozy inside. The wine tasting is $15 it is waived with wine purchase. We tried several different wines and my favorites it's the Rose, Rafiki and the Jamba. I did at the end I did end up getting the up getting the Rose, it is so refreshing. We brought our own food for a picnic with friends and they do have upcoming events. I've never had Kenyan food so I plan on trying it at their event in August. If you haven't been to Mellowood vineyards you are definitely missing out on some delicate wines.

If you like Kenya food and bbq, the owner is known the grill master in the area. . I love the experience we had this time. We had reserved for a table inside for the 100 degree weather. We had put a charcuterie board from our little picnic inside the AC. loved the wine tasting to pair with our picnic. . We loved the red wine called rafiki which means friendship, this bottle is smooth, fruit forward, and pairs well with our cheese, veggies, pasta salads. I highly recommend rafiki red wine. . Overall we will be back for the future event to try the Kenya bbq and wines. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day. Also there is plenty of outdoor seating and nice patio too. They even have a airbnb for rent as well on the property.

We sat inside since the weather wasn't that great outside. They have beautiful grounds to taste wine and have a picnic. Since we sat inside we had Jake waiting on us. He was very nice. He gave us a bottle of water to start with and we went through the tasting list with a couple of extras. He put our wine club pickup together for us. We decided to swap out a couple of bottles. I thinks it's truly annoying they have to refund the entire wine pick up and recharge you again. It's not a friendly user experience and should be reviewed. Credit the two bottles and recharge the 2 bottles. I think it would be a simple process for the customer and the winery, and still have good accounting practices. I asked if we could have the complementary breadsticks everyone else was eating them and the girl behind the counter said we are all out. OKAY! I really love the Chardonnay it's my favorite. Rombauer makes some great wines. Bottles can be costly, but once you open the bottle and you have your first - three sips, you know why you're in the wine club. As a member your tastings are complementary which is a nice benefit. I'm happy that they hold our wine club bottles until we come to pick them up usually twice a year. It would be nice if they did complementary shipping for a penny all the time.

However, after giving them an honest chance, we found that their wines are superb across the board. The staff are all very friendly and the vibe is not Napa-esque. ALL their wines are worth the money they cost and thus we are now members. Franklin does a great job!
