Came alone to sit at the bar and play some keno. My bartender was so very nice and attentive. I didn't realize I was coming in at a time that there would be so many menus/options. I did appreciate the lunch deals which would be a reason I came back! However I did order the mussels with garlic and oil and I definitely do not recommend getting. About half of them weren't even open and they did not taste great at all. Almost like they got cooked left this residue and they just were not fresh. I would stick to a pizza, pasta, buffalo wings or some sort. But unfortunately my meal really turned me off. I will say that I will be back and they offer bread for a snack which at this time I declined. Plenty of parking and good for large groups and again if you love keno this is the place to go for fair drink prices. read more

This is a very basic Italian food chain. With so many amazing options for more authentic Italian food in the area it definitely wouldn't be my first choice, but it was good for what it is. The antipasto salad was plenty for 3 of us to share. I didn't love how sweet the marinara was on the toasted ravioli, but the ravioli were delicious. Colby was a very friendly and attentive server. Our corner booth was nice and cozy. We made a reservation since it was a Saturday evening, but I'm not sure it was super necessary as there seemed to be some open tables. read more

What happened to the Chateau? We used to love this place to dine in, take out and order catering around the holidays. The food was good, service excellent and ambience ok. We have noticed a definite reduction in portions, for example the lasagna lacks cheese and is all noodles with an excessive amount of sauce. It's not only us noticing the changes. After reading other reviews with constructive criticism the owners seem to be in an alternative universe. The stars don't lie. read more

I got a chicken parm&ziti. Chicken should be pound out flat,way to thick and because it's thick its tuff to eat. The Ziti needs to be strained more,it was like soup. Had a bereavement luncheon there for 24 people. We had a private room at no extra charge and was able to order from a special bereavement buffet menu. Food and service were very good. The only negative I can say is that the buffet food was set up much later than the reservation time but at least salad, cheese and crackers and bread service was served earlier. The price per person was very reasonable. Would definitely go back and would recommend it highly for any event. read more

I came here for a private function (bereavement gathering). The room we were in was small, but just right for the amount of people we had (about 20). Everyone was able to be seated around a few tables comfortably. The service was excellent and my drink was never empty. I loved my bloody mary and heavy pour on the wine ;) I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed the food as I'm usually not a fan of chain restaurants. I liked that we were served salad individually rather than buffet style. I wanted to drink the salad dressing alone, that's how good it was! The main meal was served buffet style and consisted of chicken parm, chicken broccoli ziti, ravioli and roasted potatoes. The raviolis were my favorite; large, soft and flavorful. I could have eaten the whole tray! Towards the end, they brought out cannolis which I was not expecting so I didn't save any room for them, but they looked delicious! Based on this experience, I would definitely give the "regular dining" here a try! read more

I got a steak salad bowl. It was fine and the steak was cooked well and had good flavor. We got fried apps and they were cooked well but I thought the calamari might have been frozen. Our server didn't check in with us enough and we waited for drink refills. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. We think that there was a family function in a back room because of the amount of cars in the parking lot because the parts of the restaurant where we were had few patrons and so did the bar. read more

Went to this restaurant last weekend for my second visit. The food was delicious and had large portions. I went here with other friends who had eaten here before and had enjoyed the food and the people who served them. We enjoyed having some appetizers before our meal and then dessert after our meal and very satisfied with everything we had chosen. The serving staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our full meal and talkative with us as well and greatly appreciated that! The restaurant was cozy and comfortable for us and had music playing that was on the low side so it was soothing to hear. I would definitely recommend this place to have a wonderful meal in and worth the trip out to. read more

The cocktails tastled like mostly mixer. We only ech tried one and then switched to wine. Mussels marinara was a good appetizer. Fish and chips was just ok. The fries were over cooked or had been reheated but the fish was ok - not greasy and soggy. The chicken picatta was just "meh". The serving size was good but we thought it lacked flavor. My wife wanted to go to the Chateau on 3/30. She ordered Chicken Parm w/ gnocchi and I ordered Chicken Fettuccini W/ Broccoli. My wife good was drowned in sauce but was decent. My Alfredo was terrible. The pasta was overcooked and the Alfredo was milk, extremely watery no flavor, and no parmesan. The restaurant wasn't very busy but I had to flag someone down to find my waitress. Very lackluster service. If the owner is reading this teach your staff to cook. Good alfredo isn't difficult. I've been going to The Chateau since I was born over 50 years ago. Until recently it has always been one of my favs. Sadly, the food quality has dipped considerably the past year or so. The Alfredo was awful. Barely any taste. And, yesterday it really turned us off when they clearly changed THE BREAD! Why on earth would they change that?! And, it was $83 for 3 entrees with no alcohol. The prices are absurd. Shame on management for changing what used to always be a consistent good meal. Waltham was always my favorite and Andover used to be good too. Maybe it's just Burlington that's tanked, as it's the only one I've been to lately. read more

Took cousins for a family reunion. Service was fair at best. It was downhill from there. Ordered chicken Ceasar salad, hmm looked OK. Surprise, live ROACH in the lettuce. Manager was graceful, and we let it go at that. Now I have stomachache and the runs. I have two ideas: Lettuce was not washed, or bugs were sprayed with insecticide. The food is OK it's not nearly as good as the original in Waltham but everybody's aware of that. As far as the Burlington location which I live next to. In the market basking parking lot which they share lately there have been talented accordion and violin musicians playing in front of the liquor store for tips I think their talents would be better appreciated over on the corner where the Château is located. The Château is at the end of A very busy shopping plaza. Having musicians play traditional music would add to the appeal and ambience and distract the patrons from focusing on the fact that they are dining on a sidewalk at a busy shopping plaza. There is currently a violinist who does a great rendition of the Godfather theme. It would sound like better to the patrons on the patio than the cars buzzing by. read more

Noting unique but it's crusty and soft and good. Fried raviolis Excellent as usual. Garlic bread - half plain half with cheese. Good - how would you mess that up anyway? Daughter had chicken fingers and fries. Good - tasty fries. Son had Fettuccine Alfredo - good. It's not North End good but we're not in the North End. Wife got the gnocchi - really good. It's a heavy meal but it was very flavorful, good sauce. I got the chicken parm sandwich - was not expecting it to be on their regular sliced bread, same as you get pre-meal. Made it a little messy since it's not a roll and the sauce soaked right through it, but damn it tasted good. That was a very good sandwich. Good place to stop in for a meal with the family. This person I work with was so hell bent on me coming here. I checked the menu seemed like typical italian cuisine so of course I had to check it myself to see what the hype was about. They had some great deals which led me to believe that it was going to be mediocre. Boy was I wrong, food is delicious, the prices are great. Service is good. I know this is silly but I always look forward to the bread they bring to the table and what they serve it with. That was a bit disappointing it was a huge slice of bread but nothing special about it. All in all this place is def worth visiting. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Literally the worst food I've ever eaten. They give you untoasted white bread to start with. I got the fettuccine Alfredo and asked for mushrooms and spinach on the side. I think they threw the vegetables in and didn't even sauté them first because the mushrooms were uncooked. Also I have never had blander food in my life. I tried putting in salt and Parmesan cheese but it did absolutely nothing for the taste. The ricotta and marinara tasted like they came out of a market basket canned section. The Margherita pizza was underwhelming to say the least. Also, just honestly the tackiest place you've ever been. Food was fine-pricey for what it was but that wasn't the issue. I made a reservation online 8 hours prior for my reservation time. Arriving for my reservation time, I was told that they did not have my name and something in their system was screwed up. I get technology sometimes fails so I let it go. After getting attitude from the host to sit down and wait, I waited for 45 minutes with 2 people in front of me for a table. We were squeezed into a corner table, but, we still got to eat. The manager apologized profusely after he realized that myself and my mom were ordering one of the most expensive things on the menu. The manager came back with a $20 giftcard with the hopes that we would come back. We payed and left. I checked to see if the card had any funds on it and turns out there was nothing on it. Recently visited the Burlington location with a group of family members and was looking forward to it. I probably should have stuck with known commodities rather than venture out into the Chateau Lobster Fest though. I ordered the "Captain's Choice" which consisted of a combination. The lobster casserole and choice of 1, steak tips, baked stuffed shrimp, or scallops. I chose the lobster casserole with broiled scallops. The lobster casserole was absolutely awful. It was small and the amount of lobster in it was extremely skimpy. I didn't get ANY chunks of lobster, only small pieces of the legs, to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The scallops that accompanied the lobster casserole were also nothing at all to write home about. Another family member also ordered the Captain's Choice and also strongly disapproved of it. The only decent thing we had were the apps. Shrimp cocktail, fried raviolis and buffalo tenders were all very good as well as the antipasto. If I return here I'll be sure to stay away from the seafood specials though. read more

Ok- so Ive heard such good things about the one in waltham that when my son wanted a fast dinner and was hungry for italian food- we went there Normally my Italian meals would be a bit more high end but with a teen anything will do. It was OK- the portions were large but their sauce lacked flavor (my son even said he couldnt taste it and he got the marinara) It was lightning fast service and the waitress was nice but the food was bland. There are many other alternatives in the Lexington, Burlington, Bedford area which offer the same if not better quality of food at significantly more reasonable prices. After I finished up shopping nearby, I decided to stop in for dinner at The Chateau for some Italian food. I realized I haven't been to The Chateau in over eight years, as I was a regular at the Waltham location, which had paper place mat menus and a classic old school atmosphere. The atmosphere at the Burlington location is more modern with open dining room and bar area with TVs and there's also outside covered patio seating too. The menu offerings include Italian American fare with a family style menu offered as well. The prices here are moderate. I arrived here around 6:30PM for dinner and decided to head up to the bar for quick service. I immediately decided on the Italian Trio II ($14.99 plus tax) Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana, Fettuccine Alfredo, & Lasagna which included bread and butter. The Italian bread was good, but served cold. The food arrived to my seat in under 10 minutes. The food was not very hot. The portions of each dish on the plate were modest and not too big. The entree I ordered is very similar to the Tour of Italy served by The Olive Garden. The lasagna had layers of cheese & noodles topped with meat sauce and melted cheese. The breaded chicken cutlet was deep fried topped with melted cheese, which was crisp on the outside and tender chewy inside. The fettuccine was cooked al dente tossed with a thick alfredo sauce. Overall, the food I had here was pretty okay, nothing spectacular. I do remember the food at the Waltham location being consistently good, served hot, and the portions of food were right for the price paid (early 2000s), which kept me coming back to The Chateau often with my friends. I will definitely try The Chateau again, but next time will be a long overdue visit to the Waltham location. read more

The people were nice but the food was disgusting. I got a trio plate and my lasagna was cold. My child got a kids meal, pepperoni pizza that was beyond the grossest pizza I ever have seen or tried. I don't like complaining in-front of other customers so I just dealt with it and bought my child something else. I noticed the couple across from me sent their chicken parm back. We stopped in for a late (here is late in the US at 8 pm LOL) dinner after a very busy Sunday. We were seated right away and had a very friendly and efficient waiter, Dylan. We enjoyed our Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a Bolognese pasta special. I have enjoyed the Chateau in Waltham for many years, however we hadn't been to this location before. It's very large and can accommodate large groups and is very family friendly.
