I live in the desert and come to Solana Beach during the summer months. This shop is hands-down the best nail salon I have ever been to. As an example, I had a pedicure With little rhinestones about a month ago. The pedicure is still intact and not a single rhinestone has fallen off. Hands down the best nail salon I have EVER been to! It is owned and managed by two sisters, so make sure you call in to make an appointment (they are the only two working there). They are extremely gentle and kind, and don't try to rush your appointments, which is nice. They are extremely knowledgeable and want to make sure your nails are at their healthiest! I came in to get my acrylic fake nails off. It was the gentlest take off I have ever had! At other places, they would either file everything down, or pry off the nails with another nail, which is not only extremely damaging, but painful as well!! (It's because they went to go as fast as possible). The sister helping me did the soak off method, which is longer, but took off the acrylic extensions very gently and perfectly! I am a nail bitter so my nails are pretty weak, so she gave me a lot of recommendations! I got take off ($10), and a regular manicure ($14). The hand massage was very good! It definitely lived up to my expectations. I was welcomed as a 'walk in' and treated with professionalism and kindness. 'Q' did a fantastic job on my nails even modifying their standard fill to match the 'pink and white' acrylic fill to meet my needs. He is a perfectionist and his experience and talent shows. I decided to try this place as I'm new to area and the reviews were good. I went in for an appointment and was placed with a brother or brother-in-law to do my pedicure. I must have been the Guinea pig as this was such a horrible job. My nails were cut super short and then filed all weird! My nails looked better when I came into this place than when I left. So disappointing. The one woman who was there (I think one of the owners) was super nice but nice doesn't cut it when you are paying for a service. Also, the color selection was just ok. The bottles were in need of replacement. I can't stand it when a nail place try's to use every last drop and adds solution to extend the bottle further. Don't be so cheap, it shows in your final product. I will not return here nor would I recommend. read more

Got my nails done Monday. Went here because it was close to where I picked up my wedding dress. My pedicure was great! I also got a pink and white full set and I loved them.... That day. Yesterday I seen them lifting and today even more lifting! Suck because my wedding is Saturday and now I have to go get them fixed back home where I'm getting married. I had the worst manicure of my life here. They took off my acrylics very poorly and also painfully. The shape of the new set was completely wrong, and they were so thick. My nails ached for over a week from the manicure here. Do yourself a favor and go to any nail place but here.
