Great place to get your nails beautified! They have OPI and Essie products! The owner gives a professional manicure that lasts for a week and a half ! My nails feel and look great after I leave ! Thu's shop is a little haven in the center of Del Mar. Despite the hustle bustle and noise of construction on Del Mar's main drag, the shop is a respite from the business and chaos outside. Thu, and her helper, welcome clients into a calm, pristine atmosphere where we're treated to manicures, pedicures, back spas, facials and massage with lots of personal attention and TLC. Horrible job on my nails. After 24 hours they started lifting and they will not last the two weeks. All the edges are rough and she didn't either use enough gel for my expensive $40.00 fill or put gel around the edges. For Del Mar the shop is old, out dated and dirty. Her light over her station turns on and off constantly which is annoying. Don't waste your money on this over priced shop which does a horrible job. She probably asked these other people to write a good review on her. I noticed her appointment book was pretty blank too as she works on you and answers the phone. read more

Horrible place,would not recommend anyone!I called nail place I got appointment for 2 people.I asked lady how long it will take,she told me one hour for me and my friend.I requested do same time,she told me no problem,she has 4 people do pedi/mani same time( it is call lie person) .I asked her if she can do nail disayne,she said yes.Ask if it can take more time it is fine.So we will have 2 hours spend there.I booked my next appointment for massage in other place.My friend visited me in town and we wanted have a good time.I came there,lyft dropped us there we had 2 hours.I came with my friend did not think righ and she putted us in chair both .I ask her if she is only one?Her anwser was yes.I said we have only 1 hour and 30 min.She said no problem.She said she called me back and wanted tell me couple of her employees not show up.(I did not have any misscall)I tried to come down myself and enjoyed my pedicure.My friend already set in chair and putted fit there.I did the same what lady told me.She is started to do my pedicure with files and buffer which is she used on many clients.I ask her to changed she did not even listen to me.The Place was in process remodeling as well.It was very dusty and dirty.After 10 min filling and cleaning she wanted put lotion and I told her she has to removed and clean my cuticles and remove a callus again.She did not have anything new to used on my feet.I told her I do not mind to pay more if she can not rush and just do good job and used everything new and clean.My friend sat in chair with water already disappointed and he wanted do pedicure in his hotel,where he stayed.After callus remover with used files,she did not removed at all.Horrible job!She putted lotion and did 2 min feet massage,which is end up with a bruise,not massage manipulation at all.I do pedicure every 3 weeks and never end up with like this bad experience in Del Mar.Finally she pained my nail all over my toes,nail polish was very tick did not dry on my toes.She waisted almost 2 hours my time with horrible job,never got disayne on nails,because she did not know how to do.I ask her simple disayne and even showed her picture of simple flower.She putted white dots and I asked to remove it,because it was not a flower.I paid 29$ plus 11 $ tip for pedicure,which is I would not want even for free.I never got my mani ,refused to do,after horrible job with pedi.Lease my friend enjoy hot feet bath and end up with cold water,just waited on pedicure chair.My dress was very dirty after chair,because was a lot of dust there.I do not know how State board approved this place to provide services.After her service I end up with nail fungest.If you love yourself,stay away from owner who is lying on the phone,make sure she can get some business.,or bring your own files and tools to not get a nail fungest.I believe all 5 starts reviews is fake!Because this place is underconstraction and dusty,not clean at all.The worst experience ever!P.S.we went in other place next day and I redone my pedi and Did mani too.For 29$ they added me pineapple scrab as well and did good feet massage for 15 min. read more

Truly outstanding. I don't live in the area and used yelp to find a salon. I got a beautiful and relaxing gel manicure and pedicure in this small and charming salon, but then unknowingly left behind my iPad power cord. The lovely woman who did my nails tracked me down and actually dropped my cord off at my house in Orange County the next day while she was on her way to LA. Amazing! What a special person. I don't want to underplay the quality of the manicure and pedicure - they were first rate - but I also know that others value and appreciate special service. This salon was outstanding in every way. If you prefer a smaller and more relaxed salon with attention to detail vs. a noisy, "mow, blow and go" type place, I highly recommend Cali Nails. The massage with manicures and pedicures is excellent along with the hot towel. Easy parking in front of the salon or behind the building. As Thu is busy and sometimes clients arrive late, only slight issue is that you may have to wait a bit for your appointment. read more

I have been a client of Cali Nails for 8 years. Tu the owner has a small, comfortable, very quiet shop which is located in downtown Del Mar. Her pedicures and manicures are amazing and the spa chairs hidden away with soft cloth providing the feeling of privacy while you listen to relaxing symphony music. I had tried so many spas/salons in this area and in Carmel Valley but the loudness and unprofessionalism was not to my liking. Her prices are very reasonable and her foot and leg massages the best I have ever had. With a small polite staff the atmosphere is soothing. I had written a review a few years back and it did not get posted. She takes walk ins and whether you are new to the area or a seasonal visitor, give it a try. It is a much different experience than most of the larger company run shops. And believe me, it shows. After a day in the classroom, this is the place I go to for myself.
