They looked beautiful and it was a huge step up from the place I had gone to in downtown Encinitas that didn't remove the dip fully which caused subungual hematoma a bruised look on my nail. They were able to fit me in as a walk-in. The place looks like every other mid-level nail salon, with tons of bottles of polish, uncomfortable chairs, Vietnamese women, and nic nacs. . My technician didn't speak enough English to understand me. I got a spa manicure which included callus removal. The water was too hot, and when I told her, she tried to adjust it but was unsuccessful. She had to remove some remaining gel from two of my nails, and ended up nicking my skin. Even though I asked for a skin colored polish, she refused to, saying that one of my nails needed to breathe. She could've put it on the other ones. The massage was nice. Not recommended. read more

I was having a latte at the French Bakery when I noticed that the nail salon across the street had been renovated with a new name. I popped over and loved the ample parking in the back and found the salon to be very pretty and neat. The services and prices are clearly set out in a stack of nicely put-together service books (and there are paper price sheets to take with you as well). I also appreciated that they accept credit cards! I had a basic "spa" mani and pedi for $70 total and Helen was sweet and knowledgeable and competent and did a wonderful job. Disappointed. They will scam you on pricing and lie about any discounts, including the 10% Yelp check-in. My daughter and I made an appointment for a mani/pedi on a quiet Monday afternoon. I got a gel manicure and spa pedicure. I was told my 12 year old would get a kid discount. The lady whole did our pedicures was very rough and we both have cuts on our toes. The lady who did the manicures was distracted and missed putting the top coat on one of my daughter's nails. When it came time to pay I indicated I would pay by credit card and tip with cash. Both ladies insisted that I pay in cash Zelle or Venmo. When I finally said I really would prefer to pay by credit card they got really annoyed and started snapping in Vietnamese. The lady then showed me a total on her cell phone without giving me an itemized bill. When I asked her how much my daughters manicure pedicure was she said it was $40. She said it was a discount from the $59 combo. The website and her menu clearly stated that it was a $50 combo for a regular manicure pedicure. She then said due to Covid she didn't have time to update her the website. I asked about the Yelp discount and she said it wouldn't apply to mail services. After I paid and tipped, I realized I I was overcharged for removing gel, which I did not have going on. We will not return here even though this place is walking distance from our home. read more

Do not waste your money here. Overpriced from what their website says. I have paint all over me and I had to ask them to repaint my nails because as shown in the photo that's what they looked like. If I'm going to spend $146 on a manicure and pedicure I want it to be done right. I felt that the services were rushed, which added to why it was not great. I also got cut when they were redoing my nails. I should've just left and got a refund to get the services redone somewhere else.
