Worst massage I've ever had. I specifically told her I wanted to focus on my lower back as I have been having lower back pain but really just wanted to focus on my whole back in general. She spent the entire 90 minutes on my arms and legs. Maybe 10 minutes on my shoulders. She may have touched my lower back once but that was it. 90 minutes of arms and legs and now I am sore and my lower back still hurts. Also, as soon as we got into the treatment room, she started trying to upsell me on everything else they had to offer. Not relaxing at all. The whole place is cheap looking too. Super late review! I had an appointment on May 21st with Amber. I had a gift certificate I recieved in 2020. With all the COVID and shutdowns, I finally remembered to book my appointment. I booked online through their appointment system and it was fairly easy to make appointments. They offer different services as well. There is a pool you can also use while you are there. It wasn't pool weather yet and a little chilly still so I put it in the back of my head for a "to do" for future appointments. The place is nice, right behind Indigo Hotel. There are signs in the parking lot to follow. The place was quiet and clean. Amber was fantastic! Her hands were gold and my massage was amazing. I wish they were closer and the drive wasn't so far. It's located in a beautiful area so definitely worth a day trip! read more

Love Love Love it!! I went here with a group of 7 gals total; 4 of them received massages and the remaining 3 of us enjoyed the amenities at the hotel such as their fitness center, steam room/sauna and lounging around in their pool area. The girls that received Spa Na'mara's massage services said they all enjoyed it, no reports of bad massages here. The best part about Spa Na'mara is probably the employees there, they are so nice, friendly and accommodating. We were able to get a good deal and they event brought out some champagne when everyone got together in the pool area right outside of the spa. Such sweethearts! I personally enjoyed the amenities and while the fitness center is a bit smaller with a couple of treadmills, an elliptical, stationary bike and some free weights, I was able to accomplish what I needed which was a good work out. After my workout I enjoyed their steam room and pool; all is good here. The hotel and it's amenities is a bit dated and could use some renovation but I felt it was clean and orderly. read more

Where do I begin....? In January of this year I had a car accident resulting in 8 herniated discs, range of motion in my neck that was only possible with fairly significant pain and general discomfort in pretty much my entire neck and back. I've been receiving chiropractic treatment 2x weekly, physical therapy every other week, massages once or twice a month (which left me feeling WORSE) and for the most part, living with pretty constant pain. I got a gift certificate to Spa Na'mara for my birthday in March and finally put it to use a week or so ago. Amber S. KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. I dunno what kind of witchcraft she was using but I was like putty on her table. I couldn't have been more relaxed and I left feeling no pain. I still have an underlying back problem that I'm dealing with medically but you can 100% bet that I will be on her table regularly and wholeheartedly, without reservation, recommend her and Spa Na'mara for anything massage related. read more

I have gone to many spas over the years. I was looking for a back facial recently. I found that this spa had good reviews and it was just down the street from my home. So I booked the first appointment and had a great experience. My second appointment for a back facial was good. Immediately after my treatment, my face was swollen. Really swollen. I used ice packs and took an antihistamine thinking maybe an allergic reaction. Neither helped. My face remained swollen and bruised for a week. The day after my eye developed an infection. So my Doctor prescribed some antibiotic drops. I continued the ice packs and drops for the week. Finally the swelling subsided and the eye infection went away. When I told the esthetician at spa Na'mara what had happened, she was defensive saying it could not have been from their spa. Considering this developed immediately following my treatment, I beg to differ. Next time, I will ask for a fresh set of linens for massage table and face covering. But I won't be returning to Spa N'mara. read more

I could tell she has an immense passion for her trade and ensures that you are getting what you need. In Japan there are these incredible spas (bathhouses) that are everywhere. I have been missing them dearly and struggling with a lot of tension/pain in my neck/back. I also struggled with acne, scarring, craters and some horrible burning red itchy eczema patches. One session with Beth changed the condition of my skin so dramatically. I never wear make up. I just don't need it. No redness, no dark spots, all gone. I had a huge pore that's been there since I was 13... vanished! Beth pays attention to detail and it shows! My massage was another experience I am so incredibly pleased with. Dawnielle, and her velvet voice, soothed me into a trance of calmness. I have trouble with "text neck", in addition to some gym injuries, and today was honestly the first day in two months were I didn't cringe when I turned my head to check my blind spot. I have exceedingly sensitive skin which the slightest irritant turns to rosacea. Her treatment of my face with the Osmosis line left my face smooth as my 8 year old daughters, dewy soft and glowing. I won a 30 minute back and neck massage from a twitter contest. The spa is pretty cool- very small, quaint, located downstairs in the Best Western in Del Mar- right next to the pool. I'm 33 weeks pregnant, so this was a MUCH needed massage. Danielle was my therapist and she did a great job. The spa itself has a great lounge area and a well stocked locker room (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouth wash, razors, blow dryer and styling aids). After my massage, I took a shower and blow dried my hair (post massage hair is creepy looking and greasy!). The spa robe actually fit- which was nice, and it was very soft. I was very pleased- most spas don't have larger robes, esp. ones that would fit around my ever expanding middles. Prices are in line for the area, esp. with it being situated inside a hotel. Their Maternity massages run the standard rate: 50 min / $90; 80 min / $120. I would recommend them and go back. Right now they have a special: $50 off any 80 minute treatment (it goes until April!). read more

I felt exactly the same way as Jessica B below. I too found Spa Namara through Groupon and I wasn't sure what it would be like or how they weould treat me since I was getting such a steal or a deal. I felt the same upon finding the location, I was really nervous. But once I stepped inside and made my way down the hallway inside of Spa Namara, I realized that I was in for a treat! The morning before I went in for my massage, I got a really weird lower back pain. I bever get back pains! So I was really bummed because I'd already made my appointment and I thought that my massage would be wasted. I got a swedish massage, felt loads better, but as soon as I got in my car the pain came back becsue it flaired when in the sitting-up-right position. I sighed, so bummed! At least it was a good massage. After 2 days, my pain was TOTALLY gone. My body really needed that massage, and even though my back wasn't happy that day, it still responded to the massage therapy and the pain totally went away. Again, a few days later, the lack of pain and overal body tension was really noticable. It ened up being perfect timing to go! I have been searching high and low for the perfect spa close to my house and this place has won me over!! It is new, clean, quiet, intimate, relaxing and 5 min away from my house is a plus! I found this place thru yelp and couldn't pass up the check in offer for $50 off a 80 min facial or massage. So I decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad i did! The spa is located right next to a new small boutique hotel that is opening up and under construction. It can be hard to find but just follow the signs and you should be fine. I was greeted by a wonderful nice lady who gave me a tour of the spa and kindly led me to my locker. There is no steam room or sauna. There is one shower with everything you will need...lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream etc. I usually book the last appt so I pretty much had the entire spa to myself! Once you get changed they have complimentary tea and spa water station. The relaxation area is a nice place to kick up your feet and read some magazines before your treatment. It could be a tad bit dimmer but nonetheless still enjoyable. Danielle was my massage therapist and she was amazzzzinggg!! Being 9 months pregnant she did a fabulous job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed. The massage beds are heated and they wrap you in cozy blankets. Another great experience at Spa Na'mara with Summer! I have had two facials so far with Summer and both times I have been completely happy with my experience and the results. First let's talk about the spa: it is located at Hotel Indigo. There is a side entrance to the spa (there are signs that lead you there) and there is parking available for spa customers. Inside the spa are lockers/changing area and shower. After changing into the robe and slippers they provided me, I was able to enjoy a refreshment (my fav-cucumber water) in the spa waiting area (there are also some magazines there). The esthetician greeted me and escorted me to the treatment room. They had soothing music playing and the bed/table was heated to perfection, just those two things alone put me in a relaxing mood instantaneously! Now let's talk about their gifted esthetician: She actually examines your skin and listens to your concerns and needs! (What a concept!) The two facials I have had were customized based on my needs at that moment; this is important to me; If I am going to spend money on a service, I want it to make a difference and matter. I felt listened to and that my skin care needs were taken care of. The products felt good on my skin, there was an awesome shoulder, neck, scalp and hand massage (so good!), and I left each appointment with clean glowing skin. Even a week later, my skin still looked and felt great; like, "I-only-need-mascara-today" great! After my facial, I was provided a piece of dark chocolate (yes, please!) and more time to relax in the spa waiting area. I sipped on some delicious hot tea and just enjoyed the moment until I was ready to go back to reality, (just typing this description makes me want to go back to that moment, so relaxed and extremely content)! Added bonus: Summer seems really passionate and educated on skin care and products (and since I like to know things) she was happy to ALL answer my questions regarding the products she used and the ingredients. I appreciated that I didn't get any pressure to buy products and Summer even recommended products that I could pick up elsewhere to fit my needs and budget. All in all, the most wonderful, relaxing experience with added knowledge on my skin. I will definitely be returning. I had the Lavendar Bolus massage with Danielle and it was fantastic. Loved the scrub, the lite detox sachets applied after the warm towels and the best Thai-like massage I've ever had. I didn't know what a Bolus massage was and now I'm hooked with a very high bar to meet. Really appreciated that the minimum time is 80 minutes. If you stay at the hotel next door, you get $20 off per person. The regular price was $135 which I thought was reasonable. Lost a star because while I appreciated being able to put the massage on my room bill, I paid a cash tip and then found out later a "gratuity" was added to my spa charge. The massage therapist never said anything when I handed her cash and I never saw it in the literature. I don't appreciate it being called a gratuity--I get to decide that, right? read more

My masseuse, Chris, was extremely attentive to the muscle groups that needed the most work. The location is small and quiet, and the service is excellent. I needed a facial and decided to buy a Groupon coupon for this place. I got a $40 facial that is usually worth around $95. Turns out they were remodeling the hotel this spa is connected to and they were nice enough to contact me to let me know they would be extending the Groupon deadline for this coupon due to their remodeling. I was glad they called me to let me know this and was happy to schedule an appointment with them. Finding this place was a bit hard but eventually I found it. And it was tucked away in a corner in the back. They lady at the front was very nice and helped me out right away. The facial was fantastic and was glad to have tried this spa. I purchased a Spa Day package for 2 for a girlfriends birthday. I had been to the Indigo Hotel for happy hour and loved the views so I knew it would be a lovely place for a spa day. We were greeted warmly in the Spa by Mandy and shown around. Lauren escorted us on a little tour and showed us where the fitness center was. It's a bit of a walk, but we got to see more of the property. If I had to say anything negative about this it would be the fitness center... not great equipment, but it got the job done. After a workout we headed out to the pool, but not before stopping at the bar for our complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Giovanni was very accommodating - giving extra thought to the "birthday celebration". We originally booked our spa treatments for noon and soon realized we wanted them a bit later in the day - the ladies in the spa center made it happen. We had enough time then to lounge by the pool and have lunch at the restaurant where we were again treated wonderfully. The shrimp tacos and wilted spinach salad were great choices, but we were happy that we had the dressing on the side, as it's a bit heavy and only needed a small amount on the salad. I had a massage with Maria - I've had a lot of massages and thought this one of the best I've had in a long time. The birthday girl had a facial with Mandy and raved on it afterwards. Afterwards, we were treated to another complimentary glass of sparkling wine in the relaxation area. After relaxing at the pool a bit more we used the facilities to clean up and headed out for happy hour! It was such a wonderful experience. I'm a regular spa-goer and I purchased a Groupon to go to Spa Namara at what seemed an incredible price. I was one of the first clients of the day and I when I went, the doors were closed, so some other customers and I had to wait like 5 mins for someone to come and open the doors (but they quickly apologized for that). When they let us in, they showed us where the lockers were and the place. Is a very nice little quaint spa, very clean and with a fireplace in the relaxing lounge. I went in for a Swedish, but I forgot with who, and the Swedish massage was ok. The pressure was just kind of ok, but the technique in itself was kind of just plain, neither good nor bad. I wasn't able to really fall asleep (which I usually do through a massage), but I didn't feel like my muscles were truly relaxed. It was not the best massage I've had, but just somewhere in the middle. About a week later, I received a $40 credit for Groupon clients and I thought this was a really nice gesture of them. I will perhaps, visit this spa again. It is definitely worth a try :-) read more

I had a Special Girls Spa Day on Monday; While On Vacation in So Cal. They were able to take care of the 4 of us at one time. It was an Absolutely Wonderful time! My daughter & I were able to have our massages done in the couple's room. Our Masseuses were very experienced and professional. I loved the Lemon water and the waiting area, which was so relaxing. My Niece& I used the Sauna room before our scheduled appointment. We all made sure to utilize the Showers. Spa Namara makes sure to have a stocked locker room so that we don't have to worry about any thing from shampoos & mouse to hair dryers . It is there for us to Use. Located on the first floor (near main pool) of Hotel Indigo. They have a weekday special of $59 for 50min massage or $65 50min facial available M-F between 1-5pm. I was able to schedule a facial for myself & a couples massage with their weekday special on Memorial Day. Even though my facial was scheduled at noon they still gave me the deal for $65 since they did not have any openings for later that afternoon. They also were kind enough to let my husband relax in their waiting area while I finish my facial so we can then get our couples message. The spa isn't full service as it doesn't have a sauna/steam room or pool (just the pool for Hotel Indigo). But it has a small women & men's changing room, with shower & lockers for your personal belongings. Upon your arrival you are given a robe & slippers to change into. Both my treatments were great and I was very relaxed & rejuvenated after. I highly recommend Spa Na'Mara, well worth it especially with their deals. read more

My friend and I went in for a relaxing spa day. We both received a massage by Maria and a facial by Beth. I highly recommend both! We were even treated to chocolate covered strawberries as an extra treat over Valentines Day. The quiet room is really beautiful and big.
