This salon is run very well and have been going here for years (diff techs every time). Only reasons I gave it 3 starts... 1) Manicure - when they cut cuticles, they pick at them like plucking feathers and then the skin peels the follow week. They need to push cuticles back and only trim if necessary, not trim every nail, all of the cuticle. No need to over trim a cuticle. 2) Manicure - they don't take polish all the way to the cuticle so 3-4 days later the gap shows and does not look as nice as it could. Paint should go all the way to cuticle so manicure lasts longer and looks better longer. 3) Pedicure - they need to spend more time on buffing the foot and miss the very back side of heel, side of pinky toes and side of big toe. The pressure used is minimal. I barely have any callous's and could do a better job at home so always have to do more on my own. Just some suggestions to help make your manicures and pedicures even better! read more

I rarely get my nails done, but when I do, I always go to Signature Nails. I needed to get my nails done and my eyebrows waxed this week for my cousin's wedding this weekend. Last week, I told Tammy that my cousin's Bachelorette party was tomorrow, Thursday at 3 PM and I wanted to get it done before then, so she scheduled me in at 12:30 PM. This morning, Wednesday, I got a call from Tammy telling me that her 11:30 AM client had cancelled and if I wanted to get my nails done a day earlier. I took the opportunity since I did not want to rush for the Bachelorette tomorrow. Tammy did such an amazing job! I got French Ombré for my fingernails and a plum color for my toe nails with a drawn flower on the big toes. I also got my eyebrows and lip waxed! All the nail technicians wore masks and sanitized their equipment in between teach customers. It's all about the nail technician you get at ANY salon. I never get my nails done but when I do, my friends equate manicured hands with hot date. They might be *kinda* right about that one. I've been coming to Signature on and off for several years. There wasn't much to brag about and there wasn't anyone/anything there that stood out so much that visiting another salon felt taboo. Like you're cheating on your nail tech with another nail tech. There's a new girl that works here now. Holly. She's amazing. She's incredibly detailed and listens to my 'hey this one looks crooked' or 'what do you think of this polish color for dinner tonight'. Not sure if her technique with shaping a nail is different from others I've gone to over the years (here and at other salons). But I've never received so many compliments on my nails. Granted, I'm a fat chub chub right now because I haven't been working out which equates to non-chipped nails if ya know what I mean. I never see any coupons for this place but I still come here (and I'm the cheapo of all cheapos) just for Holly. Paying cash is a bit cheaper as there's a fee for paying by credit card (I believe). So make note of that. The salon does get busy so I suggest making an appt if you're near a phone. Otherwise they do take walk ins. read more

I had my nails done here last month, I was happy with the results so I went back, last Tuesday. I went in for a shellac color change. She used an instrument to remove reside from the bottom side of my nails. This last Saturday, I began feeling a tingling pain in the very tip of my thumb nail. The pain worsened. The horrible pain woke me up at 1:30 this morning and I spent the next few hours in the ER. I have a bacterial infection and I am now on antibiotics. The pain is about equal to what it would feel like if someone smashed it w a hammer! It is swollen and throbbing! It looks clean when you walk in but BEWARE! They don't sanitize their tools very well!!!!! I don't recommend this place to anyone!! read more

I debated on giving this four stars, but decided to remove a star because it really is just OK. Nothing great, but it is clean and pretty easy to walk in without an appointment. My pedicure was $22. I went here without checking Yelp first. I got an older lady, Lee maybe was her name? First she takes my gels off that I got at my regular place, and tells me my nails are too short too look good (I always have short nails and I think they're beautiful and at this point they were actually pretty grown out). I asked her for a simple design that is basically a French but even less work. She told my my hands were not pretty enough for that look and that she didn't want to do it. Seriously? Okay I go with just color and still she tells me I've chosen the wrong color and I should have just chosen gold or sparkle (??). I told her my hands were really dry but after taking off the gels she just left all the old polish powder all over my hands. The manicure part was awful and painful. Two of my fingers were bleeding from the skin she ripped and one has been swollen and covered in neosporin/bandaids since. She only did two coats of the gel paint, so it was pale/uneven and you could see my nail through. She said it was already too thick to do another coat and refused even when I said I didn't care if it was thick. (It's so thin, how is two coats enough?) She painted up onto my fingers and didn't remove it, so as they grew it tore and ruined the polish/hurt my fingers. Their polish also must be low quality because it's cracked all over. I also asked for a rounded nail like my current ones, but she cut them so straight across and at such uneven lengths I figured it was better to round them myself at home. She never offered me any lotion OR ever wiped off the polish dust and I kept telling her how dry my hands were. When I finally asked for lotion before I left she pointed at it across the room and went on to someone else's nails before she was even done with my last coat. She charged me $45 for all this. What a nightmare. NEVER GO HERE. Even if the other girls are better, the stuff they use is low quality and NOT CLEAN. read more

I got a nice mani/pedi in those big spa chairs that all the decent nail salons seem to have. Nice quiet place to hang out and catch up with a friend. Apparently I got a bad french manicure the first time around, but the ladies stepped up and re-did the whole manicure to make it right. You have to appreciate that.
