But when a special occasion arose with a group of girlfriends, I resigned myself and just handed over my credit card. Kyoko, the main spa attendant, greeted us warmly and showed us around. She was a friendly and helpful presence throughout our visit. I got the 60 minute relaxation massage, and it was worth every penny. My masseuse, Jasmine, was excellent, from the moment she greeted me to when the message was over and she bid me farewell with a tiny cup of their fresh-squeezed orange elixir and a warm towel. Speaking of towels, so many towels everywhere--all cloth. Nary a paper towel to be seen, even in the bathrooms. Their robes were fluffy and luxurious, and the slide sandals were nice quality, no cheap flip flops here. On our visit there weren't that many other guests (we did get there later in the day), so it felt very tranquil and private. We availed ourselves to the steam room, sauna, and whirlpool before and after our treatments, and hung out in the well-appointed ladies lounge with some of the available snacks: almonds, dried apricots, and housemate oat bars that were really yummy.
