Funny - the way a nice latte is made one at a time on a tiny "nespresso-like" machine, and the bathroom is through the kitchen... WEIRD. Simple and homey. Parking was pretty easy in their shared parking lot, but it is also down the street from the municipal lots. The kitchen was a little backed up, due to how busy it was, but they got our coffees out immediately. They refilled my husbands hot coffee, but no one asked if I wanted refills on my iced coffee even though they indicate free refills on the menu. Other than that the wait staff was really good though and that is really my only complaint. I got the avocado and feta omelette with rye which was pretty good though when we go again I will probably get a main menu item next time and my husband got a breakfast combo with a waffle. The waffle was delicious and vanilla-y. They are a sugared strawberry establishment. Murph's serves breakfast all day, and they have all the breakfast classics as well as a lunch menu. Over all we had a really good experience and will add Murph's to our breakfast rotation.

A pleasant surprise is when we were asked if we wanted bread and butter. No one ever does that for some reason anymore ...Italian bread that may have been home made was very good. Eggplant rollatini had two big pieces that I'm told we're good. Entree was the Valentine special surf and turf...two rather small stuffed shrimp and a good size perfectly cooked filet that was unreal. The sides of garlic mashed and onion rings were delish. Looked like the onion rings may have been homemade. Light and crispy. Cooked in fresh oil. Desert was a Expresso Martini Affogato. Very good martini with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it ! This place is a hidden jewel. Very good food at a reasonable price. Deborah's entertainment behind the bar made the experience even better. We will be back.

I met with friends for Sunday brunch at Zacharys. It's in a small plaza in Stoughton, and the…read moreinterior is larger and more interesting than one might have guessed from its location. The place was quite busy, but was particularly noteworthy for how friendly all of the staff were, despite the crowds. Recently, I had a discussion with a friend whose daughter waits tables in Chicago, and she told me that her daughter dislikes working brunches, as they often produce serious chaos for the staff. Clearly, any chaos at Zachary's was easily avoided by their staff, and it was noteworthy. The menu is fairly typical, with the usual Benedicts, omelettes, loads of interesting pancakes, French toast, waffles (sadly, I'm too old now!) etc. I ordered the Portuguese omelette, which had onions, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese and linguica. Good combination, with good home fries. Others had an avocado and veggie omelette (declared "delicious") and eggs with grilled kielbasa (friend who had ordered it, who is from China, had never had kielbasa before, but proceeded with my recommendation, and was quite pleased. Prices are very reasonable (less expensive than Beantown Diner, another Stoughton weekend brunch staple), coffee is fresh and the atmosphere was far less raucous when one accounted for all the people (including kids!) who were seated there. I was glad I went there.

It was served with home fries and toast, the home fries were very numerous and pretty good, the toast could have been more toasted. My partner's 2 x 2 x 2 seemed pretty good, the eggs and bacon were cooked well and the pancakes were very large. The service was a little slow but nothing major and the atmosphere was eclectic, but I didn't mind. I would return if I were in Stoughton again. UPDATE: the owner responded on google maps, I hope they take the feedback. "Hi Joseph, thanks for stopping by! We're happy to hear you enjoyed the brunch and found the value to be right. Thank you for the honest feedback on the corned beef hash and service--it helps us keep improving. We'll make sure the toast has a bit more crunch for you next time!
