We ordered a vegan dish, vegetable rolls, chicken pad thai and mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious and delivered quickly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Huge portions for the price! The restaurant has a dimly lit and intimate vibe but we walked in on a Saturday around 7pm without a reservation and were sat and served quickly. We got all the classics (pad thai, thai tea, drunken noodles) and it was all delicious.

I've ordered delivery from here before which was just okay but I recently visited in person and the Khao Soi Chiang Mai was phenomenal! Loved the flavor and the chicken was very tender. The pickled mustard greens it came with were also delicious. Good portion sizes as well - I gad leftovers to take home. Their cocktail menu has some good options - I really enjoyed the Bangkok Mule. The restaurant is spacious and the interior was very nice. Service was attentive.

Great Thai food! Came at 6:30 on a Wednesday night and it was completely empty (people started to come when we left at around 7:15). We were immediately sat, drinks/orders were taken quickly, and food was served fast. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had an upscale feel to it. Food on the pricier side but not too crazy. The pad thai w/ chicken was delicious, and I loved the garlic tofu (came w/ a small rice). These two dishes were more than enough for two people to share for dinner, we had leftovers to take home as well. Would love to come again if I'm in the area to try more dishes!

Brought my parents and brother here on a Saturday night after having made a reservation - we got a big table with plenty of space. The space is nicely decorated to feel lively and special. The menu is expansive with tons of vegetarian / vegan options which was great, including things like khao soi which rarely is made with a vegan option. From the vegan menu, we shared the Thung Tong (crispy pumpkin- and taro-stuffed pouches), Pad Kee Mao with thin rice noodles, Chi Chi tofu (red curry type) and Pad Thai with tofu. The food was delicious! Every dish blew us away with development of different flavors, textures with veggies, and saucy goodness. The spicy sauce tray offered on the side was also unique with multiple options to add spice depending on your individual preferences. We especially enjoyed the vegan Pad Thai, which we rarely get to have, and was absolutely tasty - sweet, savory, chewy, just overall really good. We plan to bring more of our family here when they visit in the future and will share our new favorite Thai restaurant with friends in the city!

Cute interior with well-spaced layout. They had a nice piano--it would be cool if they had live music here. I came in a group of 3, and I tried their Thai iced tea and Pad Thai shrimp and crab special. The Thai iced tea was a good level of flavor and sweetness. The noodles were covered with a nice pancake that reminded me a bit of an okonomiyaki, and the noodles were flavorful and nicely cooked! I liked the pieces of crab but just wish there were more! Would definitely get that dish again :) I also tried some of the beef khao soi--the curry had nice flavor, but there could have been more sauce. Would come again / get takeout here!

Probably the worst Thai food I ever had. The staff were really friendly but the Thai food was just not good. I didn't like it at all. We got the pad Thai and and there was no option to add shrimp and then we got the special Khao San curry since there wasn't the traditional green and red curry like you find at a typical Thai place. We couldn't even finish the curry. It was very sweet and heavy. Overall I can't say I recommend this place.

Solid Thai spot in Center City. Got the Pad See Ew Nuea and got 3/4 spice level. Feel like it could've used some more spice honestly, but it was good and flavorful. Would get takeout from here again.

Their menu doesn't have a lot of dishes. The first dish is a chicken with veggie in a special curry sauce. It tastes pretty good but takes quite a long time to be served. The second dish is a noodle soup that suppose to has a Tom Yum base but we didn't taste any tom yum flavor. It is neither spicy nor sour; all we taste is the coconut milk so kinda disappointed. It comes with like a pad thai noodle, pork, fried shallot, and peanut. The appetizer is good; it's very crispy with meat/shrimp filling, dip in a sweet and spicy sauce.

Great ambiance and friendly service. You can't beat the happy hour specials. We loved the Roti and all our dishes. My drink was tasty & well-balanced.

I only went for happy hour and it was amazing im definitely going back. A beautiful restaurant with excellent service. The drink was a fresh strawberry gimlet and I had chicken skewers and firecracker spring rolls and only spent like 22$. I can't wait to go back and try more!

    Spring rolls again.

I'm wondering if it's even possible to have a bad experience here. My cocktail, appetizer, and curry were all fantastic. As was my server, a delight. I refuse to stop singing their praises.

The dining room is spacious, with +20 tables, and an open kitchen so you can watch the staff at work. Usually I call in takeout orders for pickup, but I have stayed for a meal (usually with friends). They're seasonal, so you might not always be able to order them. - Taiwanese Chicken - tasty, with the right amount of soy sauce. - Thai Basil Noodles - drunken noodles! I was WOWED by the shrimp with lady fingers (okra), seamless service (reminiscent of a well-oiled machine), and an unexpectedly large interior. --- I dined as a party of two for lunch on Sunday. When we first entered, we were shocked at just how large the interior of Banana Leaf was as compared to the exterior. It is also decorated very fun inside. We ordered the mama's chicken, shrimp with lady fingers, and homemade roti canai. Just a note that the most updated menu is online instead of the photos here. (Also rice is not included with the entrées, but needs to be ordered separately.) (1) Shrimp with Lady Fingers- I would come back for just this again and again. It was not too salty, and it was very flavorful (just the right amount of fishy), and the okra was cooked just perfectly. I am a little bias as an okra fan, but I LOVED this dish. My only issue is that the shrimp wasn't deveined. (2) Homemade Roti Canai- The roti was very flaky and had an excellent texture. I guess it's no surprise that it's the biggest thing advertised on the menu. The curry was pretty standard that came with it. It was just a little strange to me that the roti canai was completely cold when it came out. (3) Mama's Chicken- The chicken was dry for us, probably as a result of the smaller pieces being fried. Overall, it was pretty OK, but we wouldn't order this again. The service was excellent- food was quick to come out & anytime we finished a dish, needed water, or needed the check, the servers were at the table before we had to say anything. Totally streamlined!

On this cold almost summer day, Nan Zhou was hustling and bustling. Separate parties at the same round table and clients coming in and out of the restaurant facade. Warm lighting and active banter. I received my bowl of beef noodle soup was pretty satisfied. Beef was tender with flavorful bites of fattiness. Somehow, the meat tastes beefier than beef. The cilantro had potent herbaceous flavor with some spinach(?) and mustard greens. Noodles were pleasantly chewy w variation in texture. Lowkey, everything else was alright. I like to be nice so I'll say no more. Cucumbers were fine

We came here around 1pm on a Sunday and ordered the mapo tofu with noodles, the house special…read morenoodle soup, and a shrimp stir fry. This place was packed, which is always a good sign, and even with that the staff stayed super prompt and professional. The house special was my favorite. I got it with the knife-cut noodles and it was perfect with the broth. The noodles had that slightly uneven, chewy texture that really holds onto the soup. I never thought I'd be the type to talk about "mouthfeel" but here we are. The broth itself was rich and savory with a deep beef flavor, a little bit of oil on top that adds body without feeling too heavy. It's that classic, comforting Chinese beef noodle soup done really well. I added a braised egg, which had great flavor soaked into it, though it was served cold, which threw me off a bit. The mapo tofu with noodles was also really solid. It had that signature spicy, numbing kick from the Sichuan peppercorns, balanced with a savory, slightly salty sauce. The tofu was soft and silky, and mixing it with the noodles made it extra satisfying. It's got some heat but not overwhelming, just enough to keep you going back for another bite. The shrimp stir fry was lighter but still flavorful. The shrimp were cooked well, tender with a slight snap, and the sauce leaned more on the savory side with a mild sweetness. It felt like a nice balance alongside the heavier noodle dishes. Couple practical things: it's cash only, but there's an ATM right by the seating area which makes it easy. And the portions are generous for the price, so it feels like a really good deal. Overall, super satisfying spot. Busy, a little chaotic, but the food absolutely delivers. Definitely a go-to if you're craving hand-pulled noodles.
