So this is our first time out to eat since the summer when we ate out in a tent. This is my first ever time at Chaska and I've heard great things about it. We were excited to get out, especially because we could sit in a bubble igloo by ourselves. They made a great point of explaining the rules of wearing masks, which I was appreciative of. Unfortunately, it took almost 25 minutes for a server to come to the table, and that was only after I sent my husband back inside to ask if we were getting a waiter. After that, we had two different waiters. Our appetizer was the Punjabi Samosa Chaat. I'd never had it before but was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious! For dinner, I ordered the tandoori chicken breast with a side of cucumber raita and my husband ordered the chana masala. My husband devoured his meal, and mine was just as good but I definitely took a box home. So it started out a bit rocky but it was overall a delicious meal and I would definitely come back!! read more

Excellent! But, I may be biased as I love Indian Food. Due to Covid, we sat outside but the service and food was excellent. We ordered the Punjabi Samosa Chaat and Garlic Cilantro Naan to start. Both were very tasty and big enough to share. For dinner, we ordered Baingan Bharta and Chicken Biryani. The chicken turned my fearful of Indian food fiance into a Indian food lover! We also ordered several different drinks. Prices were on point with India and Rasoi in Providence. Everything was amazing and we cannot wait to return! My only complaint was that they need to get those outside heaters to do outside dining. It is still a little too cold at night in New England to not have them. My wife and I were in the area doing errands on May 17th. By the end of them I was feeling daring and ready to try a new food that we haven't tried before. I've always wanted to try Indian food but my wife is more nervous when it comes to trying new foods. The hostess was patient while we looked through the menu deciding if we wanted to stay and order something. After we decided to stay we had Savio as our waiter. He was equally patient with us as we figured out what foods to get. He worked with my wife in determining what foods she does and doesn't like. He gave us lots of information about Indian cuisine during and after the meal and we ended with their chai tea which was incredible. Definitely planning a return trip when we are in the area again and huge thank you to Savio for making it a great first experience! read more

It's one of those restaurants that you seriously need to go to just to understand how flavorful each and every dish truly is!! The service is phenomenal as well! As are the cocktails! The Avacado Sweet Potato Chaat was recommended by our server so we weren't quite sure what to expect but it was so good! It had a refreshing, tropical like taste to it. We of course had to have the DELICIOUS Burrata Tomato Butter Chicken. Seriously this chicken legit melts in your mouth! The flavors are unreal! Their dishware is even designed to impress! So tonight we wanted to sample several small plates, including dishes that we did not try when we were previously here for a Yelp tasting. Seriously, take all of their recommendations, you will not be steered wrong! Their staff is amazing, every one of them!!! Their management should hold seminars on how to find the best of the best! Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of traditional Indian food (gasp!) but the food at Chaska is different. They have figured out how to deliver something completely unexpected here, providing a modern twist to their recipes and executing delicious dishes that are full of flavor. I've been here twice this month and have plans fo have lunch here next week - it's become my "go to" restaurant to meet up and share with others. The decor is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food and drinks are delicious. Chaska has officially won me over! I will be honest, when I heard this was modern Indian cuisine and the menu didn't have my favorite dishes from the other restaurants in this group (Rasa, Kabob and Curry, Rasoi) I wasn't sure if I would get on board. Rest assured, the food here is amazing! Don't expect a standard bowl of lamb Saag or chicken tikka masala, but plan on eating creative, thoughtful food packed with delicious spices and ALL the flavor! I have eaten a significant amount of dishes on the menu between a couple visits (they are typically best for sharing). There was maybe one dish I didn't love that much and it was the one with jackfruit. Everything else I've tried from the flatbreads to the fish to the mushrooms and chicken 65 were very well executed and on point. The space is beautiful and a must see on its own. The service is exceptionally warm. I can happily say that Chaska has exceeded my expectations. As a resident of Garden City I was hoping for a great Indian restaurant that could fulfill my cravings for curry. What I got was so much more! I've been to Chaska a few times already, both for lunch and dinner time. An appetizer that I usually order is the truffle seekh kebab (lamb kebab) which is a shareable and tasty starter. I also order the chicken tikka masala amritsari kulcha which compliments the main entrees as well. I really enjoy the chicken tikka masala with a mild spice level. The sauce is creamy and has just the right amount of spice. Another entree I like to order is the lamb roganjosh. Both entrees have different flavors but pair well with basmati rice. One thing I like about Chaska is that both the lunch and dinner portion sizes are just right for each time. I look forward to trying more of their entrees and even their dessert next time. In addition, the staff is very friendly and the decor of the restaurant itself is a modern, but cozy location. read more

SAMOSA CHAAT is a MUST!!! That was the best thing I've ever had at an Indian restaurant! This was literally the star of the shop. Service was quick and friendly! They even gave my son a free mini dessert and he ate every bite of it. As for the mains, I got the chicken tikka masala and I feel like it wasn't as good as the other shops they own. I had a good time here with my husband and 5 years old son. I ordered Chicken curry, corn salad, plain naan, and Lassi for my son. The servers were kind and friendly. Especially they really cared my son. They came over frequently and asked if he was okay and he liked his foods. And the server brought a special treat for him. Foods were delicious and clean. Truly a pleasure going to this restaurant as nearly everything sampled was delicious, mouth watering and most importantly... fresh! Food: The kebabs are succulent, the many appetizers have a nice twist to the norm and tasty, the presentation of dishes were wonderful. The service: exceptional. The staff is attentive, the bartenders meticulous with making cocktails that are appealing and inviting, the chefs grin when they notice the diners noticing them through the looking glass. The ambiance: visually appealing, vibrant colors and artwork hanging on the walls, statues and decorative elements added to enhance the senses. Chaska is a sister restaurant to Kabob & Curry, Rasoi, and Rasa. While I know I can rely on great quality from all these restaurants, they each have slightly different menu items so I was excited to try something new at Chaska! The Bagara baingan (eggplant in a creamy coconut & peanut sauce) was a really interesting vegetarian entree that I haven't seen before anywhere else. Like most Indian restaurants, the lunch portion ($10-12) is a pretty good deal while the dinner entrees tend to be a bit pricier ($17-20). I also tried the Amritsari Kulcha ($6), a stuffed bread that is rich and flaky similar to naan. The potato version had a thin layer of spiced potato inside and came with flavorful lentils and mango chutney on the side. The mango chutney was delicious--I feel confident that it didn't come out of a jar! Highly recommend the Kulcha for a different alternative to naan! Ordering online for pickup was an easy experience. The only catch is that Chaska is located in the extremely crowded and busy Garden City Shopping Center. So be prepared to fight for a parking spot! The indoor looked polished and comfortable. While Kabob & Curry and Rasoi are more convenient to me, Chaska would a great place to stop for a filling meal after a long day of shopping! read more

I went out on a limb and tried their brussel sprouts thoran and polenta chili calamari. Both were excellent, but I particularly enjoyed the brussel sprouts, which were cooked in a delicious onion-turmeric-coconut sauce. The flavor was so rich and was definitely a winner. I didn't dine in, but the takeout was still hot and tasted fresh when I got it, and leftovers held up the next day. We ordered through grub hub tonight and the chicken korma was so over salted it was almost inedible. Please lay off the salt and you will be perfect. We went for a nice Valentines Day dinner, and they did really good other than a few details. We started with the Chili Shrimp, and those were really delicious. For dinner, I had the vegan Aloo Gobi, while my husband had the Lamb Roganjosh, both of which were decent, but lacked that good Indian spice you would expect from Indian cuisine. They could have also included a serving spoon with the main dishes as we had to fumble with our forks to get the portions of food and rice onto our plates. We also ordered the Truffle Oil Naan bread, but where the truffle oil went, we do not know as it was all but missing.
