I visited Chaska and thoroughly enjoyed their take on Indian food. The food here is modern Indian that has all the familiar flavors but a wholly new presentation and experience. During our visit we ordered the polenta calamari. I would have never thought of this combo but I'm glad they did! Calamari with a different kind of crunch! One of the only places that my wife and I frequent. In the nicer weather, we enjoy the patio seating because it is relatively quiet. It is better than most where you are either next to the street or in the parking lot. There are also few bugs around. Regarding the food, it is always consistent, fresh, and tasty. Some of our favorites include the Brussels Sprouts Thoran, Chicken Tikka Flatbread, Chicken Korma, and Lamb Roganjosh. The cuisine is very creative and so are the drinks. Sam and Caroline are our servers 99% of the time and they have both always exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place. read more

I ordered 4 times from this restaurant through yelp. I faced below issues 1) ordered shrimp chilli (byadagi). It was really good. Quantity was also good. Ordered it again and next time quantity was too less and they have given rice with a note "from our side" lol 2) quantity is too less for the price they quote 3) gulab jamun was good, so ordered again. This restaurant is amazing! The ambiance is wonderful with lovely music and decor, especially the beautiful dishes. The service was prompt and the workers, especially a woman named India, were exceptionally nice. The chef sent our daughter papadum just because she was enjoying watching him cook! I've been coming to India for a few years, typically visiting once every 12 months. I liked it a lot - the decor and atmosphere, the interesting cocktails, friendly service and good food. But not great food. As a Brit from the north of England I likely have higher standards for Indian food than most. Huddersfield, where I went to college, and neighboring Bradford, were known for having some of the best Indian food you can imagine. Poppadoms that melt in your mouth (a free pre-appetizer nibble), curries that tasted of a thousand spices, and don't even get me started on the samosas! India just hasn't been able to compare. Until today! The Seafood Medley in Coconut Curry Sauce. Mussels (plump and tasty), large chunks of salmon, and succulent butterflied shrimp in an excellent creamy and mid-level spicy curry sauce over basmati rice. The flavor of the fish and seafood perfectly complemented by the sauce, melting in your mouth amid just the right amount of richness. Magnificent (and apparently a recent addition)! Well done, India. I won't be waiting another 12 months to return. read more

After reading such awesome reviews, I decided to ask my workaholic husband to take a day off to do some shopping in RI and do lunch at Chaska The food and presentation was awesome. Loved that management was at every table to make sure satisfaction was fulfilled We ordered an app of Spare Ribs and Punjabi Samosa Chaat. They sure know how to make chickpeas delicious. Main course was the Chicken Tikka Masala with brown rice and finished dinner off with a fantastic Saffron Pistachio ice cream. We are so missing good Indian food in SW RI, so it came as a great (positive) surprise when we came across Chaska while shopping in Warwick. Apparently it is the newest of 4 truly authentic Indian restaurants in the group, the others scattered about the broader Providence metro area. The Brussels Sprout appetizer was amazing and unique, followed by Lamb Roganjosh (in a delicious Garam masala) and our favorite Chicken Biryani (along with a side of extra Raita and a tamarind chutney). Great labeling of the dishes vis-a-vis vegan, gluten friendly, dairy free and spicy. Highly recommend from a picky eater. I just hope they open a storefront in or near Westerly! read more

First time @Chaska food was delicious the clam chowder was very good,the lamb chops very tasty!! The waiter was very helpful with the menu. The only complaint I have are the seating chairs very uncomfortable no cushions and no complete back support!! It would be nice if they upgrade the chairs so you can actually enjoy your food not worrying about back pain. read more

Ordered take out last Thursday for a mid-week treat. The take out menu is their full menu so there are plenty of options! Ordered around 5:15 and they estimated about 25 min to prepare our order. I had never dined at Chaska before and wasn't sure how big the entrees would be, or if they were meant to be ordered family style. At the end of the day, for 4 adults we ordered dinner portions of tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, and lamb kebab, as well as a seasonal flatbread special. Ultimately everyone ended up eating their own order instead of sharing family style, and I would say it was just about enough food for dinner plus a small bit of leftovers. The entrees came with rice and a few veggies. I had the tandoori chicken, which was beautifully seasoned, not too spicy, and only had one small bone so eating it was easy. The chicken tikka was wonderful as well, and the chicken stayed nice and moist. And the fall flat bread was such a great! A little modern/western flair to traditional Indian cuisine, very fresh, with a light airy crust. My only reservation is that the portions are a little small for the price compared to sister company Kabob and Curry on Thayer (also the same owners as Rasa and Rasoi). But overall a wonderful meal, we were all exceedingly pleased by the experience!! The restaurant itself is super cute too for dine in. read more

We are not fans of Indian food per se, HOWEVER, the staff indulged our questions and brought out sauce samples for us to try before we ordered a dish which made us feel right at home. Very pretty place. Specialty cocktails were very good, I had the Chakra, I'm not sure which he had but it was a whiskey base and was yummy. The calamari was very tender and fresh, lamb kabobs and butter chicken was delicious. The only thing I would change would be to add a bit more to the he menu. Wish we had room for dessert, but i liked the idea to have a sampler of all 3, plus a dessert shot for $16. Very creative. We were also told that they will have outdoor seating in the summer. It's been some time since a restaurant has blown me away the way Chaska did. Everything about the dining experience was wonderful, from the gorgeous decor and the welcoming staff to the large window into the kitchen and the delicious food and cocktails. Knowing that it is owned by the same folks behind Rasa, I didn't check out the menu before we stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to find that Chaska has an Indian Tapas concept. We started with the Kaalachakra and Chakra cocktails, both of which were complex and well balanced. Then we shared the Chili Prawns, Chili Cheese Toast, Madras BBQ Mushrooms, and Chicken Tikka Masala Stuffed Naan. Each dish was worth returning for, but the Chili sauce with the prawns had to be my absolute favorite bite. For dessert, we couldn't resist the sampler, with Chocolate Banana bread pudding, Parle G Cheesecake, Mango Creme Brulee, and a dessert shot. Here the Cheesecake was the star! In the last 3 weeks, we've gotten take out 3 times and eaten on the patio once. The food is excellent and service is very nice. I really like the chili cauliflower appetizer. Also the salads are delicious; I've tried the Corn Bhel salad and Fattoush salad. We've tried several vegetarian entrees and all were very good.
