The last two times there hasn't been one - whatever. Annoying for the amount of money they pay. Especially, because Cali didn't have a bow for Christmas pictures when she was groomed at that time ... :( We've also wanted a consistent person come to the house because our dogs are extremely picky/anxious! However, that has also not been held up as we've continuously had different groomers. Today - after my parents paid and tipped the company they told my mom that my greyhound fell off the table and they put hydrogen peroxide on it. Eli has an open wound that is bleeding, bruising, and he's limping. Not to mention they had an additional groomer today because they were training someone. There should have been at least one hand on Eli??? He's a greyhound rescue - they have been grooming him for a while they know his actions and behaviors. If there's two of you why was Eli able to fall of the table - was nobody watching? In a small van.... please. After Cindy called my mother - we were expecting an apology and would reconsider our frustration. BUT she tried to justify that he's hurt and said "Christina, put this where it should be" as if it should ever sit well. She said he's a nervous dog and has done this before. Why haven't I heard this before?! Because he's nervous it's his fault he's hurt?! Take your business elsewhere.

Throughout this incredibly difficult time, the doctor was clear, honest, and compassionate in her guidance, helping us understand the situation and make an informed decision with empathy and respect. We never felt rushed or pressured. Every single staff member at LUV treated us and our pet with deep kindness, patience, and genuine care. Their compassion and support made an extremely painful experience a little easier to bear, and we are truly grateful for the dignity and love they showed our beloved companion during his final moments. The ladies at the front desk are wonder. Super kind and courteous. My dog is in the middle of health crisis... my vet and I have formulated a plan we're both comfortable & confident with where she gets her core treatments at their office and there is some home care treatment. I ran into a relatively simple issue (her port for fluids had clearly slipped) and that required the assistance of a tech to help correct. Because this facility was open after hours my vet had suggested I go see them. When I arrived the first thing I was met with was inappropriate questions about the plan my vet & I put in place for dog. I was lectured on the dangers of providing care for my dog at home, and ultimately she didn't correct the simple issue I originally went in for. I'm sure the vet had the best of intentions but she knew nothing about me, my background, and my experience. And quite frankly I didn't feel compelled to give this woman my resume or list of credentials. Given that my dog is under close supervision by our vet (who has MANY YEARS of experience she does not); her attempts to impugn his decision & abilities (and quite frankly mine) were unprofessional, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable. My advice is simply this... you're an urgent care, address the immediate problem someone needs, don't question the decision of another veterinarian when you clearly don't know what went into making those decisions; and check your personal biases and opinions at the door. I paid $180 simply to be lectured and judged; and my sweet girl never received the care I went looking for- that was extremely frustrating. So I visited my vet first this morning and got my baby squared away. Wishing Loudoun Urgent Vet many years of success, this was one experience and while it was disappointing it won't deter me from going back if I absolutely need. I hope my next visit, whenever that might be, is better.
