Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. Despite this, the groomer cut her nails again--past the quick--causing all of them to bleed. I had to take her to the vet for treatment, including antibiotics and bandaging. What was most disappointing was the response: instead of taking responsibility, I was told by a groomer that "mistakes happen" and I am a difficult customer, and was even advised to go to the vet for grooming. I asked her why my dog had rashes all over and she claimed my dog was allergic to grooming which is not correct because my dog has gotten groomed at other places with no problem. I also can't figure out why my dog was sick after the groomed. She is also very expensive and charges the most in the area and when you charge $130 for grooming you expect better service. She won't allow you to see the grooming facility itself so you don't really know if your dog is being treated well or what condition your dog is being groomed in. -Just a few things to think about before taking your dog here.

During the first groom, she was 2.5 hours late (they let us know that they were going to be running behind, but 2.5 hours is pretty ridiculous). Winnie had some mats and we were upcharged for taking out, but she didn't explain the charge to us. Overall, the cut was good so I went ahead and prebooked the next appointment. A week before the appointment, I received an email notification saying that my appointment was rescheduled. I contacted Christina and asked why it was rescheduled (I usually try to work remotely on the days that Winnie gets groomed but have to give notice to my work). She explained that she had us on the calendar for the rescheduled date and I screenshotted the initial confirmation (with the prebooked date) and then she said that they don't service my area on the day I prebooked. Then why would you prebook us then? We went ahead with the rescheduled date and they ran 30 minutes late. I decided not to prebook my next appointment and consider options elsewhere. Although the quality of the cut was great, I would prefer to go somewhere that is more organized.

And then when I gave them our information again they said their groomer refused to groom my dog because he would need a 2nd person to help since he is old. I told them that is completely unnecessary... my dog is probably 10x easier to groom because he is old and barely moves. Why turn us away? This was such a sad interaction. They lost a long time customer. I only write this review because I would hate for other people to lose their groomer as their dog ages!

I called this practice and they immediately connected me with a vet to talk through her symptoms. They suggested I bring her in just to be safe. When I arrived, I was checked in right away and even offered a drink or snack. A doctor quickly came out to make sure nothing was urgent, and after about a 20-30 minute wait we did a full exam. The team was so patient and kind--consulting with each other, keeping me with my dog the whole time, and making sure she was comfortable throughout. Thankfully it ended up being full anal glands and some irritation. They took care of it and gave me guidance on meds (which I already had on hand). Checkout was the biggest surprise: only $205, which feels incredibly reasonable for Northern Virginia. The clinic was clean, organized, and calm, and it was obvious the pets there were genuinely cared for (even the ones in cones having a rough day). For a stressful night, this place made it a really good experience.
