    From start to finish the experience I had at VEG was incredible. The team is friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. The wait time was what you'd expect in an ER. It actually went faster than expected in my case. The waiting room and treatment room are combined so that you are with your pet the entire time. I would 100 percent recommend VEG if you need urgent care for your pet.

    First off I want to say thank you to the front desk staff today ( they were so sweet and friendly). When I called in a panic because of my baby Georgie, lady on the phone said I can come asap. He got into some trash and ate something, I helped induce him to throw up because I noticed he was losing some balance and wobbling; while showing signs of alertness (looking when names called ect.) But my gut told me he ingested something and to be on the safer side I rushed him here and there was a little wait, but seeing other dogs who needed more medical attention than Georgie. I don't mind waiting in the presence of a whole vet team. In the mean time I was able to observe the staff members. Watching them actually doing their job made me feel comfortable. This place is also very open. You can see what they're doing to your dog unlike other vets. I really appreciated that new upscale professional aesthetic. Nothing to hide, they're doing their jobs to save lives and I'm sure owners are able to observe (like what I was fortunately able to do today); unlike other places where they take your dog away and say " you stay here, well be back with your dog". Georgie saw Dr.nick Pietrobono. He immediately noticed Georgie was displaying common signs for (*****) I was worried it would and could've been worse. But after he assured me he's seen this often and it'll take some time to ware off; my mind and heart felt more calm. Knowing it could've been something way worse but Georgie left after receiving fluids, and I will be keeping a close eye on Georgie but I appreciated the staff and Dr.P's direct honest answers. He also didn't push certain medications or treatments I wasn't comfortable with, which made me like him& respect him even more. His energy and spirt was very sweet too. I wish Georgie was able to get a full exam (non ER) with Dr.P in the future for a non ER fee ToT But overall, I was very satisfied with how they treated and help me with my questions for Georgie.     Had a great experience here this week (as good as emergency vet experiences can be I suppose?). My dog was having a complete GI meltdown so we came here for some meds and fluids. The first vet I saw was kind of meh-- her approach was here are some meds k thx bye-- I had to ask a lot of questions. We ended up coming back the same day when things got worse for IV meds. The second vet was much more warm and caring. All the support staff was great on both visits. Things to note: - the parking lot is deceptively large. There is a Trader Joe's in the shopping plaza so the place was a sh*t show on a Sunday afternoon. - they don't charge a visit fee if you have to come back within 24 hrs- this was awesome. - they have an outdoor semi fenced off area so that you can take your dog potty if necessary because, again, a busy parking lot is not the place for that. - lastly, I loved that I was able to be w my dog the whole time and see what they were doing. I did not love that I saw another dog have a procedure on an open wound as I walked to my waiting area. C'est la vid! Can't have it all.

    There are 14 people on staff here on a Sunday night at 9 pm. We called on the way and they were waiting when we got here. No major drama but they were reassuring, had a plan, and explained it all. Always great service here in time of pet crisis.

    I had a great experience when taking our dog, Bella here. Of course, it's a nerve wracking feeling not knowing what is wrong with your pet initially. I loved the fact that you can sit with your pet while they are receiving treatment. Everyone was so kind & compassionate. Dr Reiss was the vet on staff & Jordan was the vet nurse. They both did a great job of keeping me updated with the plan of care. There were several other vet nurses & front desk staff who were equally as kind to us. Bella needed to be transferred for care overnight so she could see an internal medicine provider at a Vet Specialty clinic & undergo further testing. She was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism & needs two daily meds for the rest of her life. The team there is amazing & will do everything possible to get your fur baby to feeling better again! Thanks to VEG she is on the road to recovery.

    This place was wonderful and the people are fantastic from the front desk person down to the Veterinarians, nurses, and assistants. Brought my cat Rameses in, late on a Saturday night and immediately, he started getting the emergency care he needed. My cat had been vomiting early in the morning and just lay around the entire day without eating or drinking water, becoming lethargic and very weak. After several diagnostic tests and blood work, we realized he was going through DKA and his blood sugar was over 500! Dr Kelly explained he was very critical and would need to be hospitalized with an internal med doctor for up to 3-5 days. Even still, due to Rameses' age, it could be a 50/50 chance of him coming out of this. I went home in the early morning hours to process everything and returned the next morning. Rameses was stable, but still a long ways to go. My bill was already in the thousands. I carefully weighed his chances, along with age, and quality of life he was facing IF he were to come out of this. Painfully, I made the decision to humanely euthanize my best friend of the past 12+ years. Dr. Foley respectfully understood and helped the process. They gave me time in a private room to love on my cat, Facetime family to say their goodbyes, and hold my buddy during his last breaths. I wanted to shout out the team specifically, that helped Rameses throughout the night into the following morning. Dr. Kelly Ward Dr. Nick Pietrobono Dr. Kate Foley Megan ( worked on Rameses through the night, kissing him on the way to x-ray...I saw that and knew he was in good hands ) Mary ( working on Rameses the next morning ) The Best of the Best! They treat your pet like their own with love and compassion.

    Quick service, attentive, reliable and honest. Took my dog in the middle of the night on an emergency and the check in process was expedited over a link on my phone so when I got there it was a matter of going straight to care area. I wish more services were done when checking my dog but I guess they went straight to the issue that I explained.

    Our cat went in for an emergency urinary blockage and we were seen immediately to ensure that whatever was absolutely necessary to get done could before managing the emergencies in order of criticalness within the room. We could see everything that was going on with the open layout and the employees were all engaged in providing top notch care at all times. I was so impressed with the efficiency and transparency of this vet. I love the open set-up and the fact that I'm welcome to see my pet at anytime and watch what is being done to them puts my mind at ease. We will definitely be using VEG for our emergency care because of the transparency and integrity displayed.

Needless to say he lost the fight and needed emergency care. I called 4 nearby hospitals and they were booked solid. I called this facility and they promised to be ready to help upon arrival. I drove over an hour to utilize this animal hospital, staff met us at the door as promised, then quickly proceeded to treat him. They showed so much care & compassion! A few days ago, I noticed my pup refusing to walk even during nice weather days. His genitalia was dark red & inflamed. I took the voyage back to the hospital and received the same level of care that I remembered. They have an onsite pharmacy, so we went home with 3 Rx & an e-collar. He's healing slowly but surely. We have pet insurance and a wellness plan elsewhere, but I will pay out of pocket for the top tier service & 24/7 coverage that I receive here.

It felt as though profit was prioritized over patient care, particularly when dealing with elderly clients who may not fully understand medical decisions. While I was out of town, my mother-in-law brought in our family dog, Walter, after he fell and became paralyzed from the waist down. He was diagnosed with IVDD, yet no one at this hospital knew what stage he was in. After returning home and doing my own research, I determined that Walter was already at Stage 5 IVDD. I then contacted the veterinarian I work with at a different hospital. Based solely on the information I provided, she was able to conclude that Walter would most likely never walk again due to not receiving surgery in a timely manner. At no point did anyone at Columbia Pike explain the urgency of immediate surgery or that delaying it would drastically reduce his chances of recovery. Instead, we were told that three weeks of medication and strict crate rest would be sufficient. When I later called seeking clarification and guidance, the only recommendation given was to pay for an MRI to obtain more information. Additionally, despite knowing that my mother-in-law would have difficulty administering medications, no one offered basic suggestions such as using pill pockets. As a result, she resorted to giving Walter chicken nuggets to get him to take his medication--something that could have negatively impacted his health. This experience was deeply upsetting and highlights serious issues with communication, medical guidance, and patient advocacy at this clinic. If you truly love your pets and want the best for them, avoid this place at all costs. EDIT : I called 3 times today in the span of 11 hours asking for medical records and still have not received any.

We made an appointment, and before we arrived (same day) they had retrieved her records from our previous vet. The urgent care vet had read through the last few years of her history, we barely had to explain anything. EMMAvet has lots of testing facilities on site so we didn't have to wait too long for results. They gave us multiple treatment options, but they were honest about our cat's condition. Soon after, we determined it was time to euthanize our kitty. They have a special room for this, with comfortable chairs, Kleenex, and options for pet cremation containers if you want to get their ashes back. I really appreciated that they went through all the options and fees at the beginning. We paid before we had to go through the emotional euthanasia process, so we had alone time with our kitty in the last moments, and when she was gone, we could just leave. We experienced so much kindness and compassion from all the staff. It's also very clean and attractive. I only wish we'd found them sooner.

    I recently brought my dog, Fred, to FurgetMeNot for an evaluation and a half-day of daycare, and I…read morewant to share my experience to help other pet parents make informed decisions. The evaluation fee was $25 (nonrefundable after online registration), and while the staff member who conducted it was polite, I left with the impression that she didn't particularly enjoy working with dogs. Fred is a very social, playful, and well-adjusted dog--he has attended daycare regularly since 4 months, plays comfortably with dogs of all sizes and ages, and has never been described as anxious. Despite that, I was told during the evaluation that he seemed nervous, though he was ultimately "cleared" for daycare. For his first half-day (about $36), I was told again that he was nervous and might only be suited for weekends. This didn't match the written "report card," which described him as social, well-behaved, and playing well with others. When I asked for clarification, the explanation shifted back to him being "anxious." Given Fred's long history of thriving in daycare environments, this inconsistency raised red flags. What concerns me most is not the evaluation itself, but the communication and transparency. Before the evaluation, I called to confirm whether there was weekday availability (since that's when I need care). I made it clear that if there wasn't space, I didn't want to waste time or money. Unfortunately, no one followed up, and after investing both time and nearly $60, I was told that Fred should only come on weekends. I was being "encouraged" to bring Fred only on weekends--something that doesn't meet my needs, but still generates revenue for the business. The manager would not speak to me when I came to pick up my dog and did not follow up with a phone call (I shouldn't be surprised no one ever returned a live call or voicemail before my visit....I should have stayed away). The facility itself is small, with play areas that appeared quite limited (approximately 10-15 feet across, divided into small sections with several dogs in each). While that setup may work well for some pets, it isn't what I would call spacious or enriching. It was very clean. That is the one bright spot. In short, I wish FurgetMeNot had simply been upfront about their capacity constraints. I can respect a business being full; what I can't respect is unclear communication and the suggestion that my dog's behavior was the issue when the real problem seemed to be limited weekday availability. Pet parents: if you are looking for consistent weekday daycare, I would recommend asking very directly about space before investing in their evaluation process. I personally won't be returning, as I value honesty and clear communication in any service that involves my dog. I wasted 2 days and $60 dollars on this place. Don't get scammed like me.

Upon entry, I wasn't greeted particularly warmly by the front desk staff, but they did direct me to the person who would be completing my dog's evaluation. As the staff member, Christopher, who was actually completing my dog's evaluation was friendly and inviting, I did not think too much about the front desk staff. The evaluation cost $25 and it took about 20 minutes. Christopher took my dog to the back and had her meet other dogs and staff members. When the evaluation was over, he informed me that she had passed and answered most of my questions. I asked him what the pricing was for daycare, because it was not listed on the FAQ page that he provided me. He told me he didn't know, but that the front desk staff would be able to answer my question. After wrapping up to the evaluation, I walked over to the front desk to inquire about pricing for daycare. Keep in mind that while this is a full-service dog care facility, it seems that the main service-- or at least one of the most popular services-- that this facility provides is dog daycare. I asked the woman sitting at the desk about pricing. She told me something along the lines of, "we don't have the pricing listed on the brochure, but it is online." I then asked if she could just tell me the pricing. (I'm literally standing at the front desk at this point where they are supposed to answer questions about their services-- wouldn't you just tell me the price instead of directing me to go look it up for myself?!) She then responds "for what?!" with an unmistakable air of annoyance. Now, I would expect a front desk staff member to say something like, "sure, for which service?" The way she phrased her question seems like I was bothering her. I responded "for daycare" and then, she said "well let me just pull up the website and look..." The entire interaction was odd, like she was doing me a favor by providing pertinent info about the business at which she works. Also, why there isn't signage with the pricing for daycare at the front desk, who knows? I do know one thing though: if you act like I'm bothering you by asking you to do things within the scope of your job, I won't bother to spend my coins.

The owner went on to say that if I wanted to bring my dog back in 3-4 weeks, she would just do just the haircut. 4 weeks later, I set up an appointment for just a haircut, and confirmed it right then and there - just a haircut. Yes, they understood. I then confirmed again when I dropped the dog off. They understood. When I picked them up, they had done a full groom, which looked fine but wasn't what i asked for. The owner implied I had misunderstood, but wouldn't address that she had said I could come back for just a cut, and she would not answer questions about why her staff had agreed repeatedly to just a cut. She just kept saying she didn't understand the confusion, and I had to pay $150 because they had done a full groom. she wasn't even aware of how much they charged for a full groom at first. She discounted 20%. Her response to me saying I wouldn't be bringing her my business anymore was, "That's fine". This business is not registered with the BBB.
