Warning- Chase Village has a clause in their lease saying that they do not allow early termination for any reason and will hold you to the agreement until you find a replacement. In our case, we weren't moving in for 6 months still and realized our plans changed. They wouldn't allow us to back out, even though we had newly signed way far in advance. We tried to fill the space, we called them repeatedly. Finally I sent them this legal info on their responsibility to find a replacement. They finally started helping us out and found someone - but that was six months of unnecessary stress. I found the whole thing quite predatory and greedy. I don't think most new tenants read the whole of the lease agreement and realize what they are agreeing to. They make the contract so long and wordy it would take about two hours to read it through thoroughly. Be careful people. Read the fine print. read more

There's absolutely no parking from those times and that's because chase offers free parking and their security doesn't actually check so if you live here and work late hours you're screwed. I don't even know where to start!! I LOVE Chase Village. I have lived here for almost 2 years now and seriously told my husband this morning I don't ever want to move. Haha You may be surprised to hear that because it's an apartment complex, don't I want to eventually have a house?? Maybe one day awhile from now but we looked at houses in Eugene and we really think living here is the best bang for our buck! Chase Village has some of if not the biggest rooms in apartments in Eugene. I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath and our apartment is bigger than some of my friends with houses that size around town. We have a couple small dog parks so a place for my dogs to go and socialize, there is a car wash including a vacuum for us, gyms so you can work out, a pool and a hot tub and that's not even everything!!! Also I feel very safe here which is important to me! The office staff and maintenance rocks. It feels as if you are really truly loved by them. There is a little bit of everyone from different walks of life here. My "neighbors" on my apartment block include people in their 20's working, college students, a woman who has lived here for 10+ years, a young couple and their baby and more! I am so impressed by Chase Village! I've lived here for a few years now and love the level of intention this company places on my experience as a resident. Nathan, the property manager, is especially kind and thoughtful whenever I'm needing to speak with him - He always resolves anything I need help with. JJ on the maintenance crew always shows up when I have any sort of issue with my apartment (like losing my keys...lol). The village that is Chase is massive. In fact, I would venture that this is the largest sprawl of apartment complexes in one area in the entire city. Its bigger than Ducks Village and probably the University Commons combined. As a result, its a pain in some ways as folks ranging from visitors to delivery get lost often. While there is no doubt that a majority of the residents here are students, the management has be raking in some serious profits. Its not all about money making, I including practically most folks I've met have enjoyed their stay here. The apartments are well maintained, unfurnished, spacious, and are very clean. They come in 1-4 bedrooms with garages are optional and covered parking is available as well. Aside from Duck's Village, this place can be a big party central place, especially after Oregon Football games on the weekend. I lived at chase village for about a year, the first 6 months went pretty smooth. That was until they began construction, not once were we notified this was going to happen, all the sudden we heard loud banging beginning at 7am. Construction workers were screaming cursing burping farting. It was insanely rude. It continued on for 4 months. While it was going we had finals week we were promised by the owner there would be no contraction during finals week, that was a lie. He then said to me "if you had a job you would understand"... little do they know I work at an apartment complex and we would NEVER do that. Finally the outside of the apartments were a DISASTER!!! I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone!! On another note my neighbors are INSANE!!!!!! This whole place is based on a lie. We were told at move in what our rent was, and turns out it's 200 MORE that we cannot afford. We accidentally parked in our neighbors spot and they used a MARKER to write on our vehicle with threats. I let the front office know, and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. We don't feel welcome here, don't feel at home, and nothing's the responsibility of management. Nope. All our fault. Hidden fees, huge deposit, can't afford this place and they have let us know they want us to leave. So much for making a resident comfortable about where they're living! My sons are serving our country so college kids can treat us like trash. Wish I never set foot here. Unfortunately, this regret is going to follow me for the next 7 years. read more

They are greedy as F. I stayed here for a short while and when I first signed up I got a coupon one day later stating that I wouldn't have to pay a deposit and they told me since it was one day later I will still have to pay and they will not honor the coupon. For most of the time I spent living there I had a broken kitchen sink area that was never repaired. They hire a bunch of college students that have no idea how to do repairs a lot of the time. My apartment was cold in the winter. Also at the end of your lease they will include fees that are not even in the actual contract that you sign with them. I was a good tenant always paid on time. I asked if they can give me some help during the coronavirus and in reality they wanted to put me more in debt. With a payment plan that charge you interest. These positive reviews are highly suspect. I can attest that almost all of the photos posted on Yelp are professionally taken and posted by the management company. So, it's my opinion that the glowing reviews are similarly planted by the staff. Mine is not. The following review is based on true experiences at Chase Village. In all truth, I'd rather not have to take the time to post a review -- I'd rather just forget the last year or so -- but I feel a responsibility to prospective tenants to explain exactly what life at Chase Village is like. Some people have mentioned the proximity to Autzen Stadium. I suppose that could be taken as a positive. But it really isn't. When you're looking to rent, the management group promises that the traffic from Autzen Stadium won't be an issue because they have a process to keep resident parking open, direct game day traffic (yadda, yadda, yadda). That's just so not true. Every game day was a nightmare. No parking, no ability to even drive close to my unit or to even leave the property after a certain point in the day. Chase Village did nothing to help and was totally tone-deaf to the issues experienced by tenants. The size of the units is a problem. The one-bedroom, one-bath unit is incredibly small and overpriced based on comparable square footage. The units are dark. And dank. And spider-infested. The kitchens and laundry facilities are dated and in dire need of maintenance/replacement. Even the plumbing is substandard. All of the units have incredibly thin walls. (I heard lots of complete, private conversations, even two floors away and with the TV on). There is no security to speak of at Chase Village and I spent the entire year anxious about what I'd run into or find as I left my apartment. Items were stolen from my patio and every night there were people rummaging through the trash facilities. It is unnerving to just take out the trash because sometimes people are hiding inside the brick walls. Cars were also frequently vandalized. On the topic of cars, there are a surprising number of abandoned cars in the parking lot. Go look for yourself, if you don't believe me. While you're there, look at the way the buildings and grounds are maintained. In one building, there is a vine growing up out of the ground, through the plastic siding and up into a window. Trees sometimes fall on cars. I acknowledge that part of the problems I had with Chase Village was due to my inexperience. This was my first apartment. I did not know the Eugene area very well when I rented and, as I said above, I thought the location to the stadium would be advantageous. Chase Village just exploited my naivety. I actually left my unit in better shape than it was when I moved in and they still ripped off my entire security deposit. Please do your research when renting any apartment but save yourself a lot of money and heartache, and learn from my bad experiences at Chase Village. There are far better rental complexes in Eugene and they are definitely worth a look. read more

During my 10-month lease I was largely unimpressed with the management and facilities. While the apartments themselves are nice, the distance from town and the inept staff make it not worth considering. Problems I encountered: --My experience started off with them **moving someone else into the apartment I had reserved and signed a lease for**! When the "error" was discovered, their idea of making up for it was trying to give me a crappy unit shoved behind the laundry room instead. When I said that would not be an acceptable substitute, they "suddenly" had another, better apartment open up. --There is a big $250 nonrefundable pet fee, which I paid promptly in the office when I got my cat. The next day I got a call from the manager saying that they had the pet contract signed but no payment. I knew I had paid it and said so, but after 5-10 minutes of the manager basically calling me a cheat and a liar, I finally wrote a new check and brought it to the office. When I got back to my apartment and checked my bank account online, I saw that my first check had already been deposited! When I called and asked about it, they mumbled something like "Oh, that's weird" and then grudgingly let me pick up the second check. WTF? --The parking situation is awful. Good luck to you if you have a car - there is only one assigned spot/garage per apartment and the few nonassigned spaces each usually have 3-4 cars vying for them. --Crappy plumbing. My roommate's toilet broke constantly, my sink leaked. All of the fixtures were flimsy. --On more than one occasion, the maintenance guys suddenly just appeared on my balcony (they jumped from my neighbors'!) to paint or saw or jackhammer or whatever out there. I am a young woman, and that balcony was literally right on the other side of my huge bedroom window. Not okay. Plusses: --Like I said, nice apartments, lots of space, and pets are allowed. The fireplaces are a bonus too. --Repairmen were (usually) available when needed, even if the stuff just broke again the next day anyway --Free gym All in all, I would highly recommend against living here. Overall, Chase Village has been a fine place to live with large units, clean grounds, and friendly staff. I have been a tenant for almost 2 years. One thing I can simply not see past, is their inability to respond to service and maintenance requests in a timely manner. The maintenance crew themselves are great, but it is obvious that Chase Village needs to hire many more people for this job. I have had a maintenance request in since OCTOBER 2022. Yes, you heard that correct. It is now nearing the end of January 2023. A simple request has not been completed in over three months. When inquiring about my request, I am told that they are "extremely backlogged", as they have been since August 2022. There is a major staffing issue within maintenance that does not seem of importance to Chase Village as it has not been remedied in over 1/4 of a year. After several years of living at Chase I can honestly say its been a great experience. 1) the location is close to campus without having to live IN downtown Eugene. The 79x is a God-Send and I've had a blast living so close to Autzen Stadium. Traffic can get a little crazy during football games but I like that they block off entrances from the public so our parking doesn't get taken by people going to the games. 2) the workers have always been really nice and helpful. I am in there frequently to tan and print and they always remember my name which is shocking for how many other residents live here. I have had a few apt emergencies but maintenance has been helpful and they've even come in the middle of the night when I had a leak. 3) they seriously are some of the biggest apartments in town! I have been to a lot of other complex in Eugene because of friends and my own searches and they really don't compare in size to what Chase offers. They aren't exactly the cheapest apartments in the area, but when you add up all the extras like the pool, tanning, and gym, it makes it worth the extra buck. read more

You HAVE to video the apartment when you get in and out because they have a reputation for charging for damages you didn't cause. Ive seen them do it to over 5 people and now my partner as well. We will be taking them to small claims court if needed, reporting them to SETA, worksource, and the housing authority. Trying to charge him $1400 for the carpet when they knew it was filthy when he moved in! These places are disgusting!! I made sure it was cleaner when he left than we he got it and I have videos and emails to back this up. I wasted my cleaning supplies and time to make sure it was spotless, a benefit my partner was NOT awared when moving in. The maintenance seems to be all college kids with NO experience, his apartment almost burnt down due to their negligence. There is paint splattered on every surface, even the bathtub and cabinets and door frames. Not to mention it has hairs PAINTED INTO THE WALLS. They charge outrageous rent (he paid $1610 this year, that they raise by $100 or more each year in his experience). And don't forget the bugs!! This place was covered in spiders, animal fleas, and ants. A lot. The staff was always extremely rude to me and they seem to go out of their way to ignore concerns. Every time I spoke to them very politely, I was met with condescending attitudes and being talked over. We have videos of how disgusting the unit was for him and the amazing condition he left it in. I seriously recommend you keep looking bc there are lots of amazing properties around here that don't cost so much just to be trapped in stadium traffic. I literally couldn't stay over bc I was usually blocked in by someone illegally parking. Cars were commonly broken into and damaged, people are always digging in the dumpsters and leaving trash everywhere, the bugs are insane, the apartments are maintained poorly, the staff is trained poorly, and they charge for damages unnecessarily in our experience. The electricity was so bad it would shut off if we had too many electronics on, so we couldn't properly use everything when needing an A/C on. There is no a/c in unit. read more

Watch out for your security deposit. I'm pretty seasoned with this as I have 3 kids who rent apartments. Unfortunately, Chase's practices give landlords the the bad rep that they get when it comes to deposits. They will try to keep it all. Document your unit with video and photos - extensively - both before and after!! They were not expecting that we would have video and photos of an immaculate unit when we left and they tried to keep almost all of our deposit with bogus "justifications." Then they will "give in" on one or another deduction that they helped themselves to - be persistent. Demand receipts and documentation/justification for each and every deduction. AND DON"T bother cleaning the carpets because they charge you $115 for cleaning them - it is their routine charge for every unit. I would like to update that after escalating to management my very legitimate dispute, my issue was equitably resolved and I have added another star. I still maintain you must be very meticulous in your documentation. read more

So far so good! I've lived here for about a week now and I really enjoy it. The space is huge! More than I even know what to do with. I love the layout as well. The office staff are incredibly friendly. They always have treats and drinks out for everyone. Rent is kind of high but that's just living in Eugene for ya. There is always plenty of parking which is nice. The only bad/ weird parts for me are that there is no microwave, no AC and no light in the guest bedroom. Wow. Unprofessional is the first word that comes to mind. We put down the $ to hold a unit. When i went by the vacant apt about 8:30pm, the maintenence had left the windows open bc you could literally smell the apt from outside!! And the carpets were soiled in several places with black soot. Also, instead of the beautiful glass door they have on all the units, this one had a type of heavy security door?!! So i expressed my concerns to the manager and she assured me that if the carpet is in bad shape, they will just replace it, and the door should be taken care of...10 days before move in, i check on the unit again, excited to see its progress!! Nope. They had 'cleaned' the carpet and the security door was still there. The next morning I walked through the unit with the manager and head of maintenence and as we stood there in the smelly apt, the maint. guy said he was "nowhere near replacing the carpet." (Complete with a head roll) And the door? Apparently they had just found out that day...Nope. "Too expensive for the property to replace. Guess i wont be enjoying the extra light that window door would have provided... When i turned down the unit, they offered me a more expensive one next to an apt with 3 barking dogs on the patio and one of them was loose!! I pointed it out to the mgr, you know, for the dogs safety, it should probably be behind the gate and at least she agreed and handed them back their dog... Ya... So, 9 days before move in, I find out i wont be getting the things i was told i would get and they'll be keeping that $200 'hold' on the apt. Had i not been checking on the unit myself, I would have been stuck in an apt for over $1000 a month that smells awful and needs work. Their 'acceptable' is completely unacceptable. Oh, and i was told once I put my furniture in, i probably wouldnt even notice the stains! Um, thanks...but No thanks. SO disappointed with the entire process... read more

After living at chase for two years I'd say my overall experience was pleasant. This doesn't mean it wasn't without fault. The apartments, pool and gym area are all clean and fairly kept along w the gardening and outside. The rent is overpriced however but considering it's predominantly college students, the high prices make sense. There are different areas that make up chase and these depend on the amount of noise, parties, parking and quietness. During football game days there is a ton of traffic and horrible cell reception. The office personal are also not the most polite, they often have an attitude of superiority and seem a bit condescending. There is very limited free printing and other resources. The actual apartments have a big ant problem so beware. Maintenance is really chill and helpful though. Overall 3 out of five stars. Not the best but clearly not the worst for college living. Make sure you "get a friend to recommend you", then there is a discount for "them" ;) read more

They even rent the apartment which has fleas and bugs to the students. And when students find the problem, they want the student to pay for all the cleaning fees. Out of seven years of rental history, Chase Village Apartments is the only place in the world where I would not renew a lease. I have lived in China, Indonesia, Manhattan, and Seattle, and even if some of those arrangements were not perfect, many actually were very nice. Chase Village on the other hand is very overpriced, completely rundown, is headed by a brutally mismanaged and rude staff, and is in no way conducive to a good place to live. To put things in perspective, I just moved near the Ala Wai Canal in Waikiki, one of the most touristy, thus expensive, areas in the world, and I live only two blocks from the beach, and not even one block from the canal. It is fabulous and beautiful. My utilities are included in the rent, everything has been refurbished and redone in the last year, including new flooring, new and beautiful bathroom fixtures, deluxe shutters, air con, everything. And my rent is still less, LESS, than I paid for a run-down, dirty, apartment in the suburbs of Eugene. How can that be? The same was true for Seattle, where I lived in an apartment with new fixtures, new utilities, a newer building, on Lake Union, with wonderful staff and management. That was still cheaper than Chase as well. My Chase Apartment was covered in stains, all over the flooring, much of it apparently oil, and this was a move-in condition, noted on the sheet, thus Chase expected it to be in this condition. The linoleum flooring was cut up, permanently stained, and frankly a little disturbing in that condition. Two of the drains were plugged to the extent I had to snake them, and one of the bathtubs would not plug. Chase put us above a Car Wash they run and profit from in their parking lot. There was no time limit on the wash, and people washed their cars as late as two in the morning, with their music blaring. Worse even, there was an industrial sized car vacuum hooked up the car wash, that also ran at all hours day and night, and it made the living conditions in the apartment unlivable, completely nullifying whatever tiny bit of worth was left over in that apartment. I lost a great deal of sleep on it, as people did use it so late, and would use it very early, moms while taking kids to school etc. Addressing this issue we were completely bounced around the staff, even when we mentioned that we could not continue under those conditions. There was a slight hint by the extremely inefficient manager of the apartment, that we could move to another place, but that there would be absolutely no compensation for us moving an entire apartment's worth of furniture. Eventually, we were referred to the Property Manager, who would seem nice enough, with photos of her grandchildren playing football up on the walls. Yet she spoke to my wife and I as if we were children, offended somehow by our youth I suppose, and that she was managing those dumpy apartments in her twilight years when she could have been at the grandkids' games. She would not discuss the issue with us rationally, just demanding to know when we'd be renewing our lease--yeah, that would happen--and pushing us on all the issues, including a retraction, saying they didn't know it was noisy. Actually, her assistant had admitted when we first brought up the issue that it was the noisiest place in that giant, impersonal apartment complex. She would not address that when I brought that up. In this meeting the assistant had positioned himself behind me, and was reading the notes I was taking for the meeting, as I always take notes, in case I need to remember phone numbers for the security officers we had to call etc in order to somehow try and reduce the noise. He continually demanded to know why I was taking notes, as if this somehow affected him and was not somehow in my rights to take notes in a meeting. As we moved out, Chase put up hours on their Car Wash, that they would allow only residents, as non-residents had been using it, and they put up the sign it could now start at 9am and go until 10 pm. On the Chase map, it could not be any closer to those apartments it is clustered next to. There are many open spaces on their property, including large empty areas near the road, but they did not move the car wash. Even at 2pm in the afternoon, if you are visiting with friends on your porch, you still won't be able to discuss anything over the noise. Even at 6pm, if you wanted to have a relaxed bbq or dinner, you won't be able to. Legally, as I brought to Chase's attention, they cannot do that as to the terms of the lease. And, most critically, they CANNOT say this issue has not been documented, as in fact it has by several residents, and leases have been broken over it, as my wife and I also attempted, for the first time ever, to break our lease as the place was so unbearably awful. If you live in those apartments, and they are ripping you off to that extent, PLEASE pursue your legal rights and get yourself into a better situation. read more

I've lived here for just under a year and I really love it and am sad that I'll be moving out in the not-too-distant future. I live in a two bedroom, two bath that's plenty spacious and comes with a washer and dryer, fridge and oven. Office staff is really friendly, there's always snacks in the office, the pools and hot tubs are nice, and the community feels real safe. I cannot rave about the maintenance crew enough. Always quick to come help and really friendly. I only have a few negatives and most are pretty minor to me. It's a bit spendy, but you are in a really convenient location. There's a lot of dog poop around, but the staff tries their best to clean it up, people just suck. Also on the side of the complex with the office is where the landscaping crew begins working once or twice a month, and if you live on that side there'll be a leafblower/lawnmower operating at 8 am. Traffic will suck on football gamedays, but that's hardly the management's fault. The biggest negative to me is that the dishwasher kinda sucks. There's nothing wrong with it, it just isn't all that powerful, but if the worst thing about a place is sometimes having to hand-wash dishes, I'll take it. read more

I don't think I have ever rented from a company who could care less about their residents. The office staff doesn't try very hard to make sure their residents are happy and feel taken care of. They are very unhelpful, every time I have tried to ask questions they never seem to have have an answer or solution to the problem nor do they try to come up with one so instead you're basically left with figuring it out on your own. Way over priced for what you're getting. The lack of parking a complex of this size has is crazy to me, after 6pm its almost impossible to find a parking spot. There's little to no security in the complex, I've seen one security officer since I've moved in and I have never seen him again, there are no cameras, there are constantly homeless people digging through the trashes and breaking into cars (which happened to mine and they basically told me oh well), The maintenance staff lack common sense and are, constantly parking in peoples assigned spots in front of them or in front of the garages and when you call to tell the office all they have to say is "call again if it happens", like really? Is it that hard to talk to your maintenance staff and tell them not to do these things like its such a simple conversation to have.They just really don't try that hard to make their residents feel important as well as keeping the complex safe. Wow! In reading the other reviews I wonder, are these people living in the same Chase Village Apartments? I can only equate the number of negative reviews to the fact that most people that leave reviews feel they need a place to rant about something. After reading them, I was compelled in making this Yelp review. My husband and I have been looking for an apartment for our daughter before she started her third year in college in September. Before my husband and I had been through SEVEN different apartment complexes in the area and NONE of them showed us professionalism and graciousness like Sandra did when we arrived in late March to look at apartments. We did not have a appointment (most complexes are by appointment only) and it was very close to 5pm when we arrived. She had a great personality and did not mind at all. She was so helpful showing us 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and toured us around each of them in a golf cart. She really listened to everything my daughter wanted and was respectful of our budget. We liked the master suite with two large closets, open kitchen, wood burning fireplace and the washer and dryer hook-up! The balcony overlooks the garden and is great for her two small pets she brought with her. It also has a locking storage closet on the balcony. Sandra was friendly, kind and always available for any questions before and even after the lease was signed. My daughter could reach her by phone and easily on the internet. September 2013..Move in day.. When we got there we were offered coffee, water, soda and snacks. The staff are impressively poised and professional at Chase Village Apartments. Sandra, Jessie & Haley were extremely considerate in making our move in experience there comfortable and productive. Thank You!!! I would definitely recommend Chase Village Apartments, and specifically Sandra! The amenities have all exceeded our expectations. The Clubhouse.. I can say, that my daughter will truly take advantage of almost all of the amenities that this complex has to offer. The gym membership is conviently part of her rent and is a short walk away. same with the tanning beds, outdoor sand volleyball court, 2 swimming pools, 2 covered hot tubs, 2 basketball courts, Picnic/BBQ area, car wash with air station, bike trail (my daughter will enjoy this), and there's even a salon on the property! Across From Autzen Stadium Home of the Oregon Ducks! GO DUCKS! And my favorite.. being a parent is the Courtesy Night Patrol. Maintenance issue on her move in day with the stove, and it was reported and resolved within 10 minutes!! The landscaping is unique and makes the complex seem tranquil even with so many neighbors. It was so quiet our first night sleeping there my husband and I couldn't believe we were in a apartment complex and extended our stay two more nights! The best sleep we both got in a long time! I could go on, but will keep this somewhat brief so that people actually read it. All in all, I could not be more please with my daughter living at Chase Village Apartments. Maybe I am a bit more optimistic or have just had a better experience than others that have posted. You are kidding yourself if you do not think that there will be some issues to deal with living in an apt. complex. My husband and I lived in one when we were first married 25 years ago... we know! These apartments are loud but affordable for the size. A lot of issues with people parking in your marked spot and they won't do anything about it until 10pm if you are a college student they aren't good apartments to meet people! Not a college environment read more

Very accommodating. Very friendly. My wife and I sold our house but we're not ready to buy yet. So we leased at Chase and us and our 3 year old love it so far. Way more comfortable than I ever expected in a complex. read more

We lived there for way to long and every year got worse. The maintenance and office staff were the most unprofessional people I've ever had the displeasure of working with and trying to get something fixed was a complete joke. Ariel the manager is rude and has no clue what he is doing. The complex is huge and you can see that it is taking a toll on the staff and quality of work done. Whether you're a parent paying your college student's rent or your own renter don't waste your time here. The location isn't everything and the other complexes in the area are much better. read more

After applying in March to move in at Chase Village in July, a month later I changed my mind and decided I want to reside in Bend Oregon instead. After I called and told them at the beginning of May that I was no longer interested in the apartment I had reserved, they told me I had to pay a $250 cancellation fee on top of keeping the $200 deposit I already paid them. They never gave me any notice about this cancellation fee and after I told them to send over the papers I signed agreeing to this cancelation fee, they sent me a paper with their handwriting but with my information claiming it was me that filled out the form. After a week of emails back and forth they finally have stopped harassing me. If they continue I will be contacting a lawyer because what they're doing goes against statue ORS 90.297. These people seem so nice and friendly and they rush you into applying for an apartment so you can get "the discount" but they're really just scum bags. read more
