I LOVE, LOVE this bank. When you walk in you are always greeted. I've never visited where that was not the case. That's important in our society. A smile takes so little effort and does so much. YEARS ago now, I went into this bank to create a savings account. I was greeted by Geoff. He was sooo nice! He helped me set things up and I was on my way. At the time I had all funds held by Citibank. Ohh Citi! Yuk! Don't even get me started. Well, must share a bit...The closest Citi brick and mortar is Hemit..HEMIT! So if you need more than an ATM that's where you have to go. Anyway, my list is long on complaints about Citi. All I can say is RUN AWAY and GO STRAIGHT TO THIS CHASE! So... with all my problems with Citi, I remembered Geoff. I remembered years before how helpful he was. I then called him and expressed just one of my plights with Citi. GEOFF TO THE RESCUE! He introduced me to FELIX. Let me tell you, if you need help with an IRA? FELIX IS THE MAN! Patience and kindness are his middles names. Citibank did not want to release my funds and it took 4 MONTHS to actually get it transferred over. You might think I'm kidding. I am not. Good thing I had FELIX to help me. He took care of it! I visited this branch today to discuss my old bank account, open a new account, and apply for a credit card. Since I had issues with online banking, I wanted to speak with someone in person to help with my banking needs. However, I was turned away by the employees, which was a first for me at any bank. When I walked in, I approached one of the two ladies at the counter. She seemed helpful, but before she could assist me, the other employee cut me off and said, "We're all busy today; no one can see you." She didn't check anything or even look up before telling me to book an appointment online. While trying to schedule one on my phone, I noticed at least three or four employees sitting around, not appearing busy at all. Thankfully, another employee approached me and said she would help once she finished with her current customer. A few minutes later, yet another employee came over and said that two bankers had 1 PM appointments, and if those clients didn't show up, they could assist me. I pointed out that the staff didn't seem that busy, and instead of helping, she brought another employee over to tell me she had a phone appointment. I was genuinely surprised and frustrated by the level of effort they put into not assisting me. It wouldn't have taken much of their time to help, yet they seemed uninterested. I don't believe they care about reviews, but I will be reaching out to customer service as well. The employees at this branch don't seem to realize they are representing Chase. I chose this branch because I live nearby and wanted to open an account locally, but after this experience, I'm reconsidering. read more

I'm not sure if anyone even reads these anymore, but I deem it imperative so that others will not have to go through the same hardship. My grandfather died around Christmas. I was made the Executor over his estate almost 6 years prior, so secure his assets, including his accounts. Went into the California Oaks branch with the original Will signed by my grandfather, requesting assistance with his accounts. I couldn't get a professional to meet with me from a bank representative. Just made my family's life that much worse. read more

I've been a Chase customer for over 25 years and I'm finally done with them. I walked into the Murrieta branch today (at a little before 2pm) to open a Business Checking Account. I was checked in by a teller and told to wait for the person they assigned me. 20 minutes goes by and then my name was called. I was promptly told "Its time for me to go to lunch, so you will have to come back around 3pm". At about 3:10pm, I once again check in with the front desk and was assigned to the same customer service rep. About 10 minutes goes by and he comes over and says "I have other customers I have to help, so we will have to reschedule you. This branch deserves ZERO stars...... read more

Since my last review, I went back into Chase to see my Banker, Geoff. On August 16th when I went in to see Geoff the women who works there insisted on helping me because Geoff was busy. I told her I was Geoff's Client. She should have backed off and not persisted in working with me. So, This time I waited as long as needed for Geoff. He spent a lot of time working on my issue and trying to resolve the damage the women did. He always gets a 5 Star and is very Professional and helpful and has even followed up with me even though he still doesn't have an answer. I'm hoping Chase will be able to correct the huge mistake the women made and she should be told when somebody else's client is in, it is not appropriate for her to interfere. In Real Estate this is a violation of Ethics. read more

Worst customer service. My wife and kids have have multiple accounts with chase. When we brought our teenagers in to open accounts we were told we had to have an appointment. We work crazy hours and never know when we have time available to come in here. Now we come in close a savings account and put me on my wife's checking and are told we need to make an appointment. It's literally a 5-10 min process. 3 people here to help us and 2 with customers and 1 just sitting at her desk. Waited 15 mins before the the lady sitting doing nothing comes to help us and said her appointment canceled . Literally took the 10 mins I thought. There's nothing saying anywhere that you need to make an appointment to handle things on your account. I'm seriously debating on changing banks read more

I am a manager and I frequently come to this location to use their kiosk - today I get there about 1140 and there was 1 customer ahead of me using the kiosk. While I was waiting my turn, I was looking around and seen 1 teller at the teller desk and I also noticed that their was no line. Please keep in mind, the teller seen me and looked back at her computer, did not even acknowledge me, ( I figured she was busy) for a second, I thought I could just walk up to the teller for faster service, however; I choose to wait for the kiosk since the teller looked deep in thought at her computer screen. It was now my turn, I walked up to the kiosk and inserted my card, I then hear WELCOME TO CHASE HOW CAN I HELP YOU TODAY!!! I looked at the teller and she was all smiles, but looking past me, I look behind me and an older white lady was walking in and about to get in line behind me to use the kiosk. I looked at the teller and just said WOW!!!!!!! I continued with my transaction and was thinking to myself, "Why was I not greeted and asked for help?" Since I was the only Hispanic customer in line, I definitely felt discriminated upon and will not be coming back. This definitely needs to be looked into by upper management. read more

Horrable . Do Not bank with this Horrible company. They are Way to big to actually keep track of your money or help you at all .They Act polite and nice but when They make a mistake and it costs you thousands of dollars and -100 points on your credit they won't admit the mistake and are totally cool with giving you just a huge frustrating department run around for weeks . Again...the drive-thru would not take deposits. This and other reasons for the drive-thru not functioning is annoying. Finally, talked to the Branch Manager who continually, "Sorry for the inconvenience." Why don't they let customers know at entrance to Drive-thru that the machine in out of order. Either it kicks out checks, being serviced, not accepting deposits, or not working. Since bank on the corner and parking is tight, it's not easy to get in and out. I've often driven to Sun City to get away from the frustration. Close to closing my accout. read more

At the Chase on Cal Oaks and they only have 3 cashiers working and 2 of them are helping each other. Huge line and much older lady with sandy blonde hair and glasses is sitting at her desk talking on the phone about how she needs a message and needs to go to get one. Lady instead of being in a personal call maybe you should get off your ass and help the huge line of customers that are literally standing in front of you! Oh and the Chase system is down! I have been with Chase for 5 years and talked them up as a good bank. I referred my lady to them to set up a business account. We met with Angela Yu and she set up the account in a little over an hour. While there I asked Angela if she could have a new debit/ATM card sent to me as mine was very worn. Angela set up the sending of the card and it arrived in the mail. I called the toll free number to have the card activated and the computer said it was active and ready for use. I went to Albertsons to purchase groceries the same day and found that the card wasn't functioning. The payment machine at the Albertsons would not take the chip or the stripe. I called Chase after feeling embarrassed in the front of the line at Albertsons and was told that my card was fine and I should have no problems using it. The card still said chip not read when I attempted to use it again in the Albertsons but the stripe worked once. I called Chase back and was transferred to fraud prevention. The lady on the phone texted me a code and assured me that the card would now work. I went to Aldi to purchase a few items and attempted to use the card again. The payment machine once again stated the chip on the card was not read. I left Aldi without my items and attempted to use the card in an ATM. The ATM stated the card was not read. I called Chase again and after being on hold for a half hour was told my card would work and "thank you for being the most important part of Chase.". What a crock of crap because I still can't access my account with the card. Now I have been told by Chase that they will send me another card and will have to wait for it "again" to arrive in the mail. I will be closing my Chase account because obviously I am attempting to do business with a shoddy bank that can no longer get it right and does not deserve my business. I had a car loan for them in the past as well but will never do business with them again. read more

I took my daughters today to open their very first account. Mike P was "helping us" but quite honesty I felt as though he just wanted the day to be over with. I asked about any special offers for my current credit card as I was looking to transfer some balances but without looking at anything he said they don't change their rates. Then I asked about UTMA for the girls and instead of offering me information on them he simply assumed that's the type of account we wanted. Once he opened the accounts I asked about the C in front of UTMA but he didn't know what they stood for so he started looking at his screen and then proceeded to read me the definition of a UTMA. When I asked about the rates with a blank face he said it was .01% What??? For a UTMA? What is my motivation for opening the account here??? He just stared at me. Oh lord!!! Patience. Then he said he could close them and cancel the whole thing if I wanted to. Way to go Mike! Please don't hold your enthusiasm or try to keep a customer. read more

I'm writing this review as I'm currently standing in line as usual every week when I come in. Every week there is a line with about ten people in it and one teller behind the counter. I find this ridiculous when there someone standing by the new atms when there's literally a line. Why isn't this person going behind the counter and helping the people in line to get it moving. There's now 15 people in line and now finally someone came up to help. This location wouldn't be bad if they moved more efficiently. It makes sense that parking is horrible since customers have to be here forever read more

Where has customer service gone? Standing inline and there is only 1 teller and 2 automated machines and the line is to the door. I thought when they changed to not allowing you to make cash deposit into an account unless you have an account with them if you don't have an account it has to be check or money order that was bad enough this takes the cake. Ridiculous how staff is helping you write a deposit slip while standing behind six other people. Better to use that staff as a teller to make the line go faster. When I was finally helped there were six other people behind me. They also have a state-of-the-art ATM machine inside with no one using. I guess Chase doesn't get it that person to person interaction is better. Time to consider another banking institution. read more

I am only complaining about the drive up ATM. It is an awkward angle between Walgreens, you are sticking out. If you happen to go while people are being friendly, other drivers might pull up and let you clear the lane. read more

Always short on tellers. It's the beginning of the month, the line inside is to the door with at least eight people in it and yet, 2 tellers open with one being stuck on a long transaction. 4-5 employees wandering, chatting away and with no one focused on actually opening another teller station or being efficient. It's a repeated occurrence. I wish they would get a new manager to manage this place better. read more

In 25 years of having bank accounts at 5+ different banks I can finally say "I like my bank" At least the Cal Oaks Chase branch. Great staff, super friendly, I'm always in there for 10X longer than my transaction takes just talking to the different reps. I walked in, 1 teller and 3 people in line in front of me on a Wednesday at maybe 130pm. Luckily, it looks like another teller was on his way back from lunch - he's the one that ended up helping me. Overall he was professional (sadly didn't catch his name), however once i was handed to the personal banker, Amber, that's when my experience went so far downhill that I'm bothering to write a review on this location. The nice teller, asked Amber if she was available and she said yes (although it seemed like she may have been about to take a break and I might have been the nuisance keeping her from doing so). She didn't introduce herself or shake my hand - not a great first impression when I walk in asking to open an account, a business account none the less. We sat down at her desk, she asks for my ID and debit card (which is obviously not Chase), after asking me a few questions and realizing that I don't have a DBA basically tells me that I can't get a business account without one and that I could open a personal checking account with them (with a $12+/Month fee). I asked if there is a way to waive these fees and she says I would be best off to go to my existing bank...really WOW. Instead, I went to BOFA - received a $100 bonus, and spoke with an amazing personal banker (Justin) who not only was willing to explain to me the benefits of business accounts, how they work and if it was what I needed for my situation, he also didn't treat me like I was wasting his precious time. I will NEVER consider opening an account with Chase again after this, it's not the first time I've had a bad experience with them but it's officially the LAST. If for some reason you decide to go to this bank anyway, at the very least avoid working with the useless banker named Amber at this location read more

I switched banks from another Big bank to Chase in 2013 and not sorry. People at Chase are much more friendly and focused on personal service IMO and it feels like a small town bank where people know you. Not impersonal and cold. Certain times of the week or month or around holidays are busy at ALL banks so I try to plan when I go to avoid long lines. I like the greeters as they do help direct you if you're not just going to the teller and they're helpful, maybe not "necessary" for everything. Regarding the parking yes its horrible. Too many cars going in and out from different directions and in too big a hurry. I wish they could find a different more central and bigger location where parking is not such an issue. read more

Amazing customer service at all Chase banks I've been to. The banking cashiers are always friendly and personable. Here at the Murrieta branch, you get greeted as soon as you walk in. However, today i walked in and was helped by Michael Lomeli. Not a friendly and personable cashier. Instead he is cold and almost sarcastic. When he asked for my ID he looked at the screen and then asked me if I still live in murrieta. I felt interogated. He did not even smile. Michael if you hate your job, go find something else to do.
