I docked a star for the stupid Elite Checking fee, which is $6 per month. I don't really use Frontwave as a bank, more as a placeholder in case I need a loan, so I don't leave much money in my checking. Having at least $2,500 in one's checking waives the fee. I called to have the Elite Checking Account downgraded to "Everyday Checking" but after a half-hour wait the person was unable to access the computer, allegedly. I wonder why there's so much call volume? Maybe it's that sneaky upgrade and $6 a month charge? Either way, it's a good credit union overall with GREAT people at the Wildomar location, but upgrading everyone to the "Elite" checking account without asking was not a good move. They should have left me with the fee-free checking since I obviously don't use the account at all, hardly. **UPDATE** I drove to the local branch and the nice employee not only switched me to free checking, she refunded the $12 I paid unwittingly for the upgraded checking account I didn't upgrade. She said that anyone can get their money back if they show up at a branch as they can make the initial Elite Checking "promotional", post hoc. Still not glad that they upgraded my checking account but all's well that ends well, right? Thanks!

    I frequently visit this Navy Federal Credit Union because of the short lines and pleasant…read moreemployees. Every branch I've been to is always clean and tidy. I guess it depends on what day and time you go, but I learned long ago to avoid coming on paydays, lol. The lines can be horrendous, but if you can do your banking online or through the app, you'll save time and gas. Each time I have come here, I have always been greeted by the person sitting behind the desk at the front entrance. I've never encountered a rude employee. My transactions with the tellers have all been great. They are knowledgeable and speedy, getting people through the line quickly (if there is one). They offer services like any other bank, but their credit card interest rates are significantly lower than most others, which is always nice. I came the last two days in a row to handle some things with my accounts. I have been a member for years. I would like to give a huge shout out to Michelle, who helped me both days. She was very patient, kind, informative, and did not try to upsell anything on me. I always appreciate that. On my second visit, she even stayed a bit late past their 5:30 closing time to make sure I was satisfied and did not rush me out the door. Now THAT is stellar service!! If you happen to come to this branch and need to speak with someone (not just do a quick transaction with a teller), I HIGHLY recommend you ask for Michelle. She is wonderful, and I applaud her efforts going above and beyond for me! Thank you, Michelle!! =)

    I LOVE, LOVE this bank…read more When you walk in you are always greeted. I've never visited where that was not the case. That's important in our society. A smile takes so little effort and does so much. YEARS ago now, I went into this bank to create a savings account. I was greeted by Geoff. He was sooo nice! He helped me set things up and I was on my way. At the time I had all funds held by Citibank. Ohh Citi! Yuk! Don't even get me started. Well, must share a bit...The closest Citi brick and mortar is Hemit..HEMIT! So if you need more than an ATM that's where you have to go. Anyway, my list is long on complaints about Citi. All I can say is RUN AWAY and GO STRAIGHT TO THIS CHASE! So... with all my problems with Citi, I remembered Geoff. I remembered years before how helpful he was. I then called him and expressed just one of my plights with Citi. GEOFF TO THE RESCUE! He introduced me to FELIX. Let me tell you, if you need help with an IRA? FELIX IS THE MAN! Patience and kindness are his middles names. Citibank did not want to release my funds and it took 4 MONTHS to actually get it transferred over. You might think I'm kidding. I am not. Good thing I had FELIX to help me. He took care of it! All this reminds me... I've got to make an appointment with GEOFF. I need to get every last Citi account switched over to Chase. .

    I visited this branch today to discuss my old bank account, open a new account, and apply for a…read morecredit card. Since I had issues with online banking, I wanted to speak with someone in person to help with my banking needs. However, I was turned away by the employees, which was a first for me at any bank. When I walked in, I approached one of the two ladies at the counter. She seemed helpful, but before she could assist me, the other employee cut me off and said, "We're all busy today; no one can see you." She didn't check anything or even look up before telling me to book an appointment online. While trying to schedule one on my phone, I noticed at least three or four employees sitting around, not appearing busy at all. Thankfully, another employee approached me and said she would help once she finished with her current customer. A few minutes later, yet another employee came over and said that two bankers had 1 PM appointments, and if those clients didn't show up, they could assist me. I pointed out that the staff didn't seem that busy, and instead of helping, she brought another employee over to tell me she had a phone appointment. I was genuinely surprised and frustrated by the level of effort they put into not assisting me. It wouldn't have taken much of their time to help, yet they seemed uninterested. I don't believe they care about reviews, but I will be reaching out to customer service as well. The employees at this branch don't seem to realize they are representing Chase. I chose this branch because I live nearby and wanted to open an account locally, but after this experience, I'm reconsidering.
