Mulled wine and patio view
Ashley K.

My family and I visited Charon vineyards this past weekend and as always it was a wonderful experience. We had went specifically for their Mulled wine which is delicious while enjoying their patio view. They do also have indoor seating that we have utilized in the past when it's cold out. This trip we ordered their meat and cheese boars head tray that went well with our drinks. The table service at the vineyard is also really great the ladies were very attentive and helpful with wine pairings. They do have events on weekends, when we arrived we were lucky enough to hear some live music before it ended for the night. Will definitely keep coming back.

Great wine! Beautiful Views! The staff are always knowledgeable and kind. This place is one of our favorite vineyards in Southern Arizona. Worth driving from Phoenix to visit. Thank you.

This was our first stop on our trip in the wine area. We have been going here for 15 years. Not sure why I never left a review. They are on their third owner and the wines are so amazing. Whites and reds and sweets. Lots of out side seating over looking the vineyard. They have meat and cheese and a few other snacks. And lots of non alcoholic drinks. And if you love cats you will love this cal cat called ballerina. This is a must stop place.

I enjoyed the beautiful views from the patio. It was 90 degrees out, but it felt cooler in the shaded patio. There was table service and the server was friendly and checked in often. There were small charcuterie boards and snacks for purchase. I enjoyed the wine flight and you get to actually choose what you want to try. I also love that they have two flavors of wine slushes. Definitely worth stopping by!!

A lovely vineyard with cozy outdoor and done indoor seating. A extensive wine list with some unique wines. I recommend ordering a wine flight (or two) which is reasonably priced in order to sample before making a decision. Super nice staff. Some picnic type foods ( cheese, olives, chips) available to purchase. A good space for a date or for a group... with such a pretty view and good wine and the Arizona sunshine... it's all good

We reserved a room for my 30th bday. It was all of our first time coming here and let me say we all LOVED it! The staff was friendly, we got our drinks quickly and was checked on numerous times. We never went thirsty! Lol The grounds are nice, and there's a shop cat in the main building which I loved. We can't wait to go back! (There was also a food truck & live music)

Great wine, views, and friendly staff. The winery is dog friendly which is a plus for us since we travel down to the area with our pup. The Thanksgiving special was a great value. This winery has the biggest variety of wines out of all the ones we have tried in the Sonoita wine region. The Montepulciano is a must try!

I love this place. I've been coming here since 2020 and with their new owners they've really expanded their seating. The views are stunning, they have a big menu, more snacks, delicious slushees or mulled wine depending on the weather. The only down part is the parking because it is a little bumpy and off roading on a dirt road. I recently did their Halloween wine tasting and I LOVED it. Make sure to bring your own glass for a discounted price.

Slushy!

What a surprise a winery is southern Az! Up a windy gravel road. They have a lovely patio looking out to their vines. They had a live band playing music that matched the ambience. The menu was large and they had loads of wine to taste and options for non-drinkers or drivers. I opted for the slushy. It was an exceptionally hot day, and it was refreshing, although a little bit on the sweet side. Service was great. They checked on us several times and made sure we had everything we needed.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! You have to experience this amazing spot. The owners and staff are the nicest and so freaking attentive. Their wine selection is chef kiss! Try their white Chardonnay - i am not one to love a Chardonnay but it was DELICIOUS. Crisp and fresh just how i like my whites. You also have to say to their resident kitty. The ambiance well it's phenomenal.

Enjoyed our time at Charron Vineyard. Went on a late Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. It was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy the surroundings and weather. My partner and I both enjoyed our wine flights and we grabbed a couple bottles to take home. bonus- the vineyard cat is adorable and very friendly. Would for sure come back!

Came here on a whim, and it was well worth it. Sat outside and enjoyed a wine tasting flight. Watched the birds play about in the vines, and made friends with the cat Ballerina. The lady tending to us was very friendly, and was a delight to talk to.

Service, wine, views - immaculate. The best kept secret in Southeast Tucson! We've gone 10+ times and never been disappointed. Their candy and wine pairings during the Halloween season are spectacular!

It's a nice vineyard, but for the price we paid, we honestly expected more…read more We stayed in one of the casitas for two nights. The stay was fine overall, but there were quite a few frustrations. The contact number they gave us barely replied to texts, and no one ever picked up when we tried calling. The WiFi in the room was basically unusable--so slow that I couldn't even take a call. The shower has an open design, which meant water flooded half the bathroom every time. The casita itself is a decent size with space for a dining area and a bedroom, but the bed is designed to be lifted up to the ceiling, which felt completely unnecessary. That said, the view was stunning--facing the sunrise, and waking up to it was definitely the highlight of the stay. They provide a half bottle of wine as a welcome gift, but it's the cheapest wine they produce. Bottles at the vineyard start at $29, and anything else on the list starts around $44. For a place where you're right at the source, that felt steep. This makes me wonder how much are these wine costs if you buy it from a third party store. Personally, not that screw top makes any difference to the quality of the wine, but paying $50+ for a screw top bottle of wine off the shelf is unreal, especially coming from Europe. The restaurant is beautiful but the menu is rather small. Lunch is tapa style and dinner has a changing menu depending on what the chef wants to cook. Pretty hard to plan your meals if you are a picky eater.

What an adorable place! I enjoyed a candle making class…read morelast week. They provide wine, snacks and everything you need to make a candle. If you don't drink wine you pay a discounted price and still enjoy the experience. Employees are super friendly. I ended up buying mesquite smoked caramel popcorn for $10.00 to take home. It wasn't good, caramel sticks to your teeth making it a very unpleasant experience

I really try not to drag local businesses; times are tough for everyone, but people deserve to know…read morewhat an absolute rip-off this place is. We live in the neighborhood and have stopped in before (more on that later), so the other day we swung by to grab a bottle of our go-to white, Dos Cabezas. It's an inexpensive, easy-to-find Arizona bottle that literally every wine bar, bottle shop, and grocery store in town sells for $25 or less. AZ Wine Collective's price? $40. For a to-go bottle. Not opened, not enjoyed there, just handed over in a bag. It's $22 across the street at Trader Joe's, and at other local wine bars/bottle shops, it's never over $25. Honestly, I should've known better after our first visit. We initially stopped in for a glass of wine because we love Arizona wines and were excited to support a neighborhood spot. Then we met the owner, who explained he bought the business after following his daughter to U of A while she attends college from the Midwest. He openly admitted he "thought it would be a fun business to have, but doesn't know much about wine." That checks out. One look at the tasting menu and it's painfully clear no one here is curating anything. If the owner doesn't know much about wine, who is training the staff? No one. It's clear they can only recite the tasting notes supplied by the wineries. And the charcuterie board? Imagine paying premium prices for the same cheese you could toss into your cart at Fry's. Nothing wrong with grocery store cheese, but if I'm paying wine bar prices, I hope for something a little more inspiring than pepper jack cubes. The vibe? Picture sipping wine... in a HomeGoods. Everything about this place screams "mustard is too spicy": the décor, the wine selection, the food, all of it. Ambiance? Haven't seen her. I'm sure there's a "It's wine o'clock somewhere" sign lurking about. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Tucson has several fantastic wine bars that know what they're doing and won't charge you 40 bucks for a $22 bottle.
