Fantastic place for wine tasting, great wines to sample, nice snacks. Worth visiting if you're in the area.

Love this place! The wine is delicious and the views are worth the drive. Watching the sunset while snacking on a Mezze Platter with my bff while sipping the delicious Rune Rose' is one of my favorite things to do...

Beautiful views, great wine, and a quiet and tranquil ambiance! I want to go back in the fall when it's not as hot and do hiking trail with a glass of wine!

I loved this winery! Scenic views, exploring along the vineyards and having chairs at their pit stops was what made it intimate . They had blankets for our comfort. I really liked their wine and charcuterie board. This lovely family who owns it had the best costumer service. I will def come back to this place ! Great for kids and adults to explore.

Off-grid winery in Sonoita and a perfect day trip from Tucson. They have a nice selection of wines on the 5-wine tasting menu starting from white to red. The tasting costs $5 more for using their souvenir glass or you can save a bit by bringing a glass. They have a limited food menu, but I would recommend trying the charcuterie board. Both indoor/outdoor seating with nice sunset views.

Wines are decent. Easy drinking, prob the best way the wild Syrah. Prices are expensive compared to other wine regions like Sonoma, napa, Osoyoos, etc. They have a decent mezze platter and are generous with the hummus. Cute boho/California vibe and outdoor drating with fire pits. Service is friendly enough, but short. They just pour the wine and don't bother to say anything about it so it's think the tasting experience could be better. Also they don't check in to see if you want to order anything to eat.

Rune Wines offers a world-class winery experience in Southern Arizona. The view from the tasting room, the walking trails leading from one picturesque spot to another, and the outstanding charcuterie options make Rune a not-to-be-missed tasting experience. Dog lovers may be especially charmed by the folks and their furry friends who gather outside to enjoy snacks and wine with a view. Our favorite wines were the Grenache and the Rose. Friendly staff and a decidedly modern tasting room make for a lively afternoon whatever the weather.

    That view though!

One word about Rune: views. This was 1 out of 5 places we went to for a self directed wine tasting tour over the weekend. I decided to get a full pour from here instead of doing a tasting. Very beautiful place, such a calm vibe, and good wine. So peaceful. Pros: - the views! Beautiful nature in every direction. - very cool outdoor seating areas. - we had already eaten just prior to coming but it smelled great and they had what looked like some nice snacks and charcuterie boards. - tasty Viognier. I drink white wine more than reds lately, this one was crisp and slightly sweet. Cons: - we came here towards the end of our day and I did not feel like doing a full tasting so I didn't try more things. That's a con against myself lol. Next time I'll prioritize coming here more at the beginning of the day because it's a beautiful location and I'd love to try more of their wines.

I loved my visit to Rune Wines when I was passing through Sonoita. This winery is very unique. The gift shop and lobby area are inside of a Quonset hut that looks like something out of WWII. An airstream is parked next to the structure. The tasting area is under a canopy surrounded by beautiful desert landscape. This winery opened in 2015. I first sampled their wine at a food and wine pairing a few years back. If you have ever seen a bottle of wine from Rune, they have very unique labels. The artwork on each bottle is designed by an artist and is unique to each vintage. Each label tells a story. Even though I was here over the summer on a hot day, I enjoyed having my tasting outdoors. I'm an AZ native and have a deep appreciation for the desert. They have plenty of seating with fire pits. The views are just incredible. The lady who poured my wine was very friendly and knowledgable. Their flagship wine Wild Syrah was probably my favorite pour. Sonoita is a great spot to wine taste here in AZ and Rune if definitely high on my list as one of my favorite wineries in the state. Take a relaxing day off and make the less than 3 hour drive from the Valley and check this gem out.

Beautiful views. Great wine. Possibly the best Tuna sandwich in the area. I was pleasantly surprised.

One standout for me was the rosé, which was a classic French style rosé--that beautiful salmon color and semi-dry flavor I love in French rosés.

The stay was fine overall, but there were quite a few frustrations. The contact number they gave us barely replied to texts, and no one ever picked up when we tried calling. The WiFi in the room was basically unusable--so slow that I couldn't even take a call. The shower has an open design, which meant water flooded half the bathroom every time. The casita itself is a decent size with space for a dining area and a bedroom, but the bed is designed to be lifted up to the ceiling, which felt completely unnecessary. That said, the view was stunning--facing the sunrise, and waking up to it was definitely the highlight of the stay. They provide a half bottle of wine as a welcome gift, but it's the cheapest wine they produce. Bottles at the vineyard start at $29, and anything else on the list starts around $44. For a place where you're right at the source, that felt steep. This makes me wonder how much are these wine costs if you buy it from a third party store. Personally, not that screw top makes any difference to the quality of the wine, but paying $50+ for a screw top bottle of wine off the shelf is unreal, especially coming from Europe. The restaurant is beautiful but the menu is rather small. Lunch is tapa style and dinner has a changing menu depending on what the chef wants to cook. Pretty hard to plan your meals if you are a picky eater.
