Reservations with a card required in advance to get a table at Los Milics winery for a tasting. They have a sign at the entrance and the parking lot is a dirt lot. The decor inside is sleek and modern with scenic views. It was surprisingly green when we visited due to the more recent rain and higher elevation. They often open up the large doors between the indoor seating and outdoor covered patio seating. We tried a few different wines and the burrata balsamic appetizer plate, which was really good. Many of the red wines are served chilled here, which is not the norm at other wineries. We tried to order dessert and they closed the kitchen even earlier than the 4p.m. published closing time for the tasting room, so we were unable to get one. They often host private special events in the evenings. Additionally, the vineyard has casitas that can be rented in advance to stay the night.

Excellent service and wine, and of course the amazing views! They have a few food items if you're hungry to go with your wine. Most wineries you go for the ambience, this place truly has some amazing wine that keeps me coming back for more!

Went with friends to check this place out. Food, service, decor all great. Menu has changed a little since this visit but still enjoyed everything on our second visit.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR DINNER IF YOU'RE NEARBY OR AT RUNE VINEYARDS!! Wonderful dinner spot with great wines in Elgin! I went in a Saturday with my fiancé and his parents and WOW- the food, service, gorgeous sunset views and vineyards all around was GORGEOUS! Slightly hidden in a gorgeous landscape of mountains and fields. The architecture of the place was breathtaking. When inside, the glass allows you to see the beautiful sunset peaking through. We ended up getting the wine pairings with the dinner menu. The pork was FABULOUS, it was perfectly cooked and the sweetness and crunch from the pomegranate was outstanding! Lamb chops were also delicious, they were so tender and tasty and also cooked perfectly. Charred octopus with the cheesy grits were very nice. I loved the burrata too, so well seasoned and went really nice with the crispy breads!

The first visit has been very positive. The wine tasting room was comfortable with great views and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the tasting flight and the seasonal salad was tasty. Future dinner reservations at "The Biscuit" and another afternoon of wine tasting have already been set.

Our first visit to Los Milics Vineyards, and it will certainly not be our last. My husband and I spent 2 nights in one of the casitas, and from the moment we checked in, we felt like royalty. Ita greeted us and personally showed us to our casita. We ended up doing a wine tasting a little later due to an event being held that afternoon. The wines were spectacular, and we also enjoyed chatting with Ita and her husband, Pavle. The casita was absolutely wonderful, and the view was breathtaking. We brought our own little charcuterie to enjoy in our casita during our first evening, and the complimentary wine from Los Milics that was in our casita was delicious with the charcuterie! The second evening we celebrated my birthday by having dinner at "The Biscuit," and we very much enjoyed our gin martinis, expertly crafted by Shawna (sorry if my spelling is not correct), as well as our waitperson, Alejandra, who was a delight. We also met Trevor, the chef, to compliment him and his team on a delicious dinner of fried tomato salad, flank steak, and chicken. We chose a bottle of "Renato" to accompany our dinner and it was delicious. By the way, the star-gazing here is unparalleled. We were blown away by the stars here, and we could easily see the Milky Way. I tried to get some photos with my iPhone, but it did not due the experience justice. Thank you to Ita and Pavle and the entire staff at Los Milics for making my birthday wine-tasting experience an absolute delight.

Loved every part of our dining experience. It was our first time in Sonoita, and I'm so glad our friends booked a dinner reservation. The wine was excellent, and the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We had the vegetable entree which was a stuffed eggplant and the rack of lamb--each one a hit. Perfect for sharing and pairing with their tempranillo. The setting is what really makes it though. The dining space is open-air with views of the vineyard and surrounding mountains. We went on Saturday night and watched the full moon glow behind the mountains and fully shine from above. Such an incredible experience. Service was friendly, attentive, and refreshingly down-to-earth. The vibe here was welcoming and relaxed, and the quality of wine held up against some of the best we've had in other California wine country. I'd recommend a reservation if you're going on a weekend. The architecture is stunning--modern but warm, and it's built right into the vineyard. Definitely our new favorite spot in Sonoita, and I'm already looking forward to bringing our friends who come visit us.

The staff was so welcoming and the tasting room very elegant with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the vineyards and surrounding hills. The wine and charcuterie board was a perfect indulgence for a wet rainy day. We are recommending this vineyard to all our friends.

What an amazing vineyard. I can see why it is the #2 vineyard in the U.S. the staff was amazing. Fanny was the sommelier that helps us and she is one of the best I have ever met. The staff at a whole were great. She knew so much and taught us a thing or two about the wines. The tasting room is beautiful and very unique, the view from the tasting room is phenomenal. We will definitely be back. We shared the croque monsieur: ham, gruyère, béchamel, dijon on barrio bread focaccia yumm and the panna cotta with wine reduction so worth the drive.

Burger. We ordered medium well but wish we ordered medium which is what they recommended

We had a great afternoon at Los Milics. We loved the food. The service was excellent and the winery was beautiful. We are looking forward to coming back!

Wonderful venue with amazing views of Mustang mountains and Biscuit. (See photo) All of the wines were excellent. We did the tasting. Generous 2 oz pour of 5 wines for $20. I had a Croque monsieur. It was served on Barrio bread. Awesome. Only 8 items on the small plates menu Velvet ordered all of them. They were out of all three of them. Service by Shauna was excellent.

A year after our first visit to Los Milics our original impressions have been confirmed: This truly IS a destination winery, lodging and a 5-star restaurant. Service this time came courtesy of the fantastic and delightful "Allie" (Alejandra). Incidentally, Allie was unanimously voted WORLD'S SWEETEST SERVER (by my bride and me!). The cuisine once again blew our collective minds with a gorgeous and lightly glazed grilled salmon with patatas panaderas. These traditional Spanish potatoes look like scallop potatoes, but they are OH SO thinly sliced and delicate that it will not soon be forgotten. Just wow. Wine was fabulous and our favorite brewery, TOMBSTONE was also represented with their fabulous Rye IPA. After dinner we toured the wonderful casitas that feature huge picture windows and beds that raise and lower from the ceiling to create more living space. I told you this place blows our mind and is simply unreal at every level.

Absolutely wonderful. I wasn't aware of this place last year during our previous trip to Sonoita and I'm so glad we found it. The wine was great and food was yummy. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. We kept it basic with the roasted potatoes, beet salad, and burrata. All solid choices. We shared the appetizer plates and a few bottles of wine. The place itself was gorgeous. The dining room is open air facing the vineyard and the mountains. So picturesque. What a view to sit and drink wine! We went on Saturday and it was pouring down rain, true monsoon style and it felt incredible inside. The service was just right, very attentive and friendly yet not wine snobby as I've sometimes experienced in other wine regions (ie Napa, Santa Rosa, Sonoma). The wine itself was definitely on par with being as good as the California wineries. Other reviews say this place gets busy and to make reservations. We were fortunate to walk right in and get seated (we also had a driver who helped with this process). After we sat down a couple large groups arrived as walk-ins and had to wait, or decided to leave. This is my new favorite place in Sonoita. I liked the modern architecture and style of the building, it's built right in the middle of the vineyard. It's like a "wine Stonehenge" and I thought it looked very striking against the greenery & grapes. I will definitely be back!

I applaud the owners for rescuing their dogs but I am warning everyone reading this, do not bring your dog here unless you are holding your dog in your arms the entire time. There were 3 wines to taste and we didn't like any of them. The 2016 Malvasia was both sour and sweet and the Reisling was dry and very oaky due the oak chips they use in the barrel. The fourth and last tasting was of their peach bellini sushi mix that you can add your own wine to but they added one of theirs to it. It was sickeningly sweet and I couldn't drink it. I would have been interested to try red sangria slushy. Their dogs seemed normal and calm walking around the backyard. I kept my dog on leash and stood by them at first. After the 2nd taste of wine, I let me dog loose right next to us. Within a couple minutes one of their large dogs attacked my yorkie. We were very lucky that my boyfriend turned around and grabbed her before she was hurt. There was slobber on my dogs back where their dog put its mouth on her. This is why I do not recommend bringing your dog here unless you are holding the dog at all times. Honestly I'm surprised they still charged us for the tasting after this. We were so shook up, we almost got up and left after it happened without finishing the tasting.

We were out trying the Sonoita wineries for the first time. Hannah's seemed to get very good…read morereviews and looked homey and quaint in pics so we stopped there as our second tasting destination. I am giving 3 stars only because of the friendliness of the proprietor. She is a fellow dog lover who rescues and has her beautiful pets roaming the winery. Putting that aside, this winery does not make a good first impression. It has the decor of a back patio with lots of clutter, nik naks and only a few tables. It sits lower than many of the sister wineries in the area, so there is no real view. If I were the owner, I'd declutter, redecorate, add some new furniture and give the winery a style makeover. After all, customers are paying for these tastings. Tasting prices are average, but if you don't bring your own glass you will need to purchase theirs for $6 (not optional unlike the previous winery we had been to were purchasing was optional). With two mandatory wine glasses and three very subpar tastings, our tab was $30. Now, onto the wines. There were 3. I'm sorry to say this, but they were not good wines. In fact, the Malvasia Bianca Quartz 2020 was the worst wine we have ever tried. Metallic, mineral, dirt tasting. We were informed that these are grapes that grow up amongst the rocks and that's why it has that name. These grapes must be the bottom feeder rejects of the grape world! Table next to us actually dumped that same wine into the grass. If you want a nice friendly conversation with a dog lover, visit Hannah's. If you want a nice outdoor experience and good wine..... Check out some of the other wineries in the area.

We had a genuinely good time here. This vineyard is owned by a husband and wife who grew their own grapes for 15 years (selling to other local wineries) before deciding to make their own wine. I do feel that this experience of growing grapes has lent them the knowledge of what makes a good wine. We both did the tasting and enjoyed all of the wines; we even got an extra glass and bought a bottle to take home. Flying Kite has great vibe - we felt like we were hanging out at a friend's house. The owners were incredibly friendly and the way they chatted with us felt genuine. There were a few groups of people there, smiles well around. As the name of the vineyard states, there is also kite flying here! The owners have a bunch of kites available for anyone to use. It was so much fun flying kites while drinking wine - truly a novel experience! I would also like to note here the attention to detail in how they constructed this tasting room/patio - given how windy sonoita/elgin gets during the day, the owners were conscious of which direction the wind typically blows and therefore, they built the tasting patio so that you are completely blocked from the wind. This might seem like a minor detail but when you've been out in the wind all day, it is so nice to get a break from it. I just really appreciated this as I felt it was very thoughtful. Overall, I would say that flying kite is one of my favorite vineyards in this area. I would absolutely come back here again!
