What do girlfriends decide to do on a last minute notice? .....get pedicures lol…read moreWe arrived without any appointments and were immediately greeted and set up with our pedicurists. This place was quite huge and they have an enormous wall dedicated to an array of nail color choices, it actually was kinda overwhelming : D My friend and I both opted for the general pedicure $39. I observed her sanitize and line the foot bowl. We enjoyed our pedicures they took their time and did a great job cleaning, massaging, and painting our toe nails. My only 2 disappointments were that, although they stated in their menu, drinks (nonalcoholic or alcoholic) are complimentary, my friend had to remind our pedicurists at least 2-3 times about getting drinks! And second, my gal, had ear pods and was talking ever so softly on the phone while doing my nails. She was responsive to me when I said something, but it doesn't exude professionalism talking on the phone while working. I will give y'all another chance....

I have been coming to the nail salon for years. I just so happen to go last week while owner/Tommy…read morewho usually does my nails is on vacation so I had services provided from a lady who sits at the front nail station to the left. I asked for an almond shape full set of nails. She did what I asked her to do, but the shaping of the nails needed more shaping, and the acrylic was laid down very thick. When she was finished, I mentioned to her that I did not like the way the nails came out that they needed to be thinned out and re-shaped. It looked as if I needed a fill before I left. She told me that if I wanted for it to look new then I need to pay additional for that. I told her that I had to leave and would not pay anything extra. She told me if I did not like my nails to come back on Tuesday because they were closed on Monday and she would fix it. I didn't make it out until Thursday, but before I went to the salon, I called and spoke with her and she told me to come in at a certain time and that she would fix it. Once I got there, she looked at my hands and she said everything was fine and that if I wanted any additional services I would have to pay for them. She recommended that I would get a fill, and if I wanted them to be thinned out, they would charge me to take them off and charge me for a brand new set to be placed back on. I find it ridiculous and sad that a long time customer has to go look for another nail salon because she did not want to fix what she had done. Unfortunately, I have acrylic all on the sides of my nail onto the skin and she still would not fix that. The shape is not the same for all nails and they are not even. She was very quick to try to get me to sit down and offer services to me but at full price. I understand this is a business, and everyone wants to make money, but the service you provide does matter. If the customer is not happy with the services you provided, then the nail tech should fix the work that was done. She was quick to argue with me, but still wanted me to sit down and get services done at full price. It's really sad because I am a loyal customer and have been going there for so many years, but to pay as much as they're charging and not be satisfied or not even mediocre happy for that matter is totally not worth it. There are a ton of nail salons all down Culebra where anyone can just move on as I have done now. If you do go to the nail salon, I would suggest you use Tommy or the other male gentleman and if neither one of them are available, don't settle for anyone else.

I even went as far as provide a photograph my nail tech then was approached by a man who was also a nail tech, and she asked him for assistance in finding the exact chrome finish. This man began to argue with her in their native language and showed visible frustration when he snatched the supplies that he was providing to her, which she was trying to explain to him, was not what I was looking for. He then became frustrated that my baby became fussy and he started to make gestures as to kick towards my babies stroller that infuriated me more than anything so at that point, I decided that I would conclude my session and ask to be rung up. Once I got to the front I informed the woman checking me out that I barely got a polish. I was still charged for an incomplete job. I didn't mind paying for the services of my filling and additional tip that needed to be replaced however, the additional up charge of five dollars for polish, especially given the horrible service that I received I feel should have been eliminated. Overall experience zero out of 10. They lack professionalism. The establishment itself is nice aesthetically, but the staff is unprofessional. I will never patronize this establishment again.
