After the first two quarters there is a picture round After the third quarter there is another special question round After the fourth quarter there is 2 final questions. Each of the quarters, Deb plays songs and most of the songs are subtle clues. For example- There was a question this past week that paraphrased "What fast food chain founded by in Ohio by the Raffle Brothers uses the slogan 'We Have The Meats'". Deb played the song "Come Get it Bae" by Pharrel Williams The answer was Arby's... Pharrels hat was the clue. Great Clue! Stump does Trivia at a bunch of Bethesda Bars including Harp & Fiddle, and a few places in Falls Church as well! Not only is the format great and the questions great, but Deb as a host is wonderful. She's funny and has a dry sense of humor. She's very experienced, moves things quickly, and just makes trivia fun!

Every single person enjoyed their meal and I had some very picky people with me. The portions are always very large and presented very nicely on the plate. We had two chicken Cobb salads, which were excellent, probably the best salad I've had on Kent Island in a really long time; chicken quesadilla; cheesesteak; club sandwich; and a hamburger. There were many tables filled when we came in, which makes me happy. This is our new favorite place to come for lunch or even a low key dinner. I've had the clam strips and the shrimp salad wrap before and both were very good. I wish I had pictures to share, but I failed to take any. Next time I will get some photos and update my review. Our server was super friendly and provided very good service. Our food took a little while to come out but that was because my brother-in-law always has to order a well done burger and it was not an excessive wait. This is a good place to come and watch a game and chat with friends or family. It's not a fancy place, but it's your typical hometown bar but with much better food in my opinion. If a place has a lamb burger it's my immediate go to every time, and I have to say Taphouse has the best I've ever had. The lamb was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the vegetables were fresh, and that feta is that perfect accompaniment to round it off. The Makhani sauce is just good on everything. Could drink it. Not kidding. The venue offers a welcoming outdoor area and a semi-private indoor space perfect for events. I've booked Taphouse for both corporate and personal gatherings, and it's the easiest, most reliable spot in the County for hosting by far. Beyond the food and drink, Taphouse, and especially Sunny (the owner) are one of the most community engaged businesses in Southern Maryland. They have put on countless events supporting all types of local organizations, and always work with nonprofits when they need anything. Taphouse and Sunny himself really serve as one of the best ambassadors of St. Mary's County, especially since a large portion of the customers are transient. All in all, 100% a must try if in the area. But be warned, if you do, you will be coming back constantly.

Called ahead early on St. Patrick's Day and got a 7:30 reservation. Arrived a few minutes early,…read morebut they were able to seat us early right away. We figured it would be busy since it's an Irish pub on St. Patrick's Day, so it wasn't a big deal when it took about 10 minutes for the server to come take our drink order, and another 10 minutes to come take our food order. Then there was the wait. Since it was a busy day, I figured about 30 minutes, maybe 40, so I expected our food would be ready around 8:20-8:30; our food was not delivered to our table until 9:23... and it was a little cold, as if it had been ready for a while, but never brought out. I ate about half of mine and took the rest home. My wife only ate maybe 3-4 bites of hers. After reheating at home, the food itself was fine; I had corned beef & cabbage (yes, cliche) and my wife had fish & chips. We were given a basket of kettle chips around 8:30. The wait was long enough that my wife ordered a second beer (which she doesn't usually do); was a little disappointed that it wasn't comped because of the long wait. What made it worse was there were a few tables that were seated after us that got their food before us, including a party of 6 that finished, paid and left before our food even arrived. I'm willing to give the place a second chance on a different day. I get that St. Patrick's Day is probably a rough one for them. But if the kitchen is over an hour behind, that should probably be mentioned before any orders are taken.
