My wife and I just went to see Magicians Matt and Peter Wood at the Willard's Parlour of Mystery last night.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Baltimore Comedy Factory…read more The biggest reason I keep coming back is the comedians. Whoever books the lineup deserves some credit because they consistently bring great talent. I've seen some amazing shows here over the years, and they've also made a lot of improvements to the showroom itself. The lighting, sound, seating, and overall atmosphere inside the comedy club are all solid. That said, there are still a few things that keep this from being a five-star experience. The customer service can be hit or miss. I don't necessarily blame the servers because they always seem stretched way too thin. On busy nights, they're clearly juggling too many tables. My advice is to know what you want when they first come around because it can be a while before you see them again. If you need another drink or want to order dessert later in the show, good luck trying to flag someone down. The lobby and will-call area could also use some attention. Compared to the showroom, those spaces feel a little dated and don't make the best first impression. Being located inside a Best Western with a nightclub downstairs also gives the venue a bit of an unusual vibe, and the surrounding area isn't my favorite. Even with those complaints, I still come back because the comedy is consistently worth it. As long as they keep bringing in great comedians and the ticket prices remain reasonable, I'll continue supporting the Baltimore Comedy Factory. The shows have always delivered, and at the end of the day, that's what I'm there for.

I've been coming to the Baltimore Comedy Factory for well over a decade, and it's still one of my…read morefavorite places for a night out. I've celebrated birthdays here, gone on dates, brought friends, and seen countless comedians over the years, so it's become one of my go-to spots whenever someone good comes to town. The comedians are consistently the reason to come. Whether it's a nationally known headliner or someone I've never heard of, I almost always leave laughing. My most recent visit was to see Monique, and it was such a fun experience, especially with it being a hometown show. Now for the honest part, if you're coming for the food, this probably isn't the place. It's comedy club food. It'll absolutely hold you over during the show, but I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here. The veggie and cheese tray is actually one of my favorite lighter options if I just want something to snack on while I enjoy the performance. My biggest issue is the entry process. The Comedy Factory has been around for decades, but getting inside for larger shows can still be an ordeal. I almost expect a long line whenever it's a popular comedian, and I wish they had a smoother system by now. That said, once you're inside, it's easy to remember why I keep coming back. The atmosphere is always fun, the crowds are lively, and after more than 10 years of visits, this place has become part of my Baltimore tradition. If you're looking for a fun date night or an evening with friends, I'd absolutely recommend it, just arrive early for the bigger shows and come for the laughs, not the food.

Crowd was awesome and had good energy like the performers. The waitresses were very attentive in asking if we ever wanted to put in more orders. Very easy people to talk to. The food quality itself is what you'd expect. Chicken tenders & fries 6/10: I wish the chicken tenders came out hotter and more crispy. But that could just be me liking my tenders a tad burnt. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. Fries were decent! They were hot. I didn't think they were soft. I found them to be seasoned well. Chocolate cake 4/10: You could probably find a better chocolate cake from Costco. I found the cake portion to be really soft in an odd way. If you're craving chocolate, maybe look elsewhere. What the F*ck Drink 8/10: I actually really liked this drink. I think it was properly balanced and it got me tipsy. Overall, I was here for the entertainment. I had a great time and would recommend this place to friends and family.

Wish there were some signs that explained this better. Went around the corner to the bar and they were not very helpful in explaining that either. Other than that, the spot is fun to watch comedians and service was good too.

Honestly really disappointed with the way security handled things. Instead of actually looking into…read morewhat was going on, the guard immediately jumped to kicking people out without even asking questions. It felt like the decision was based more on personal bias than anything that actually happened. If security is there to keep things safe and fair, they should at least take the time to investigate before throwing people out. Acting like a tough guy and refusing to listen doesn't solve anything it just makes the place look bad.

The music was on trend....lots of your old school hits, classics, today's pop, rnb, line dancing music and even country songs.....and the crowd was an eclectic mix....young, old, everything in-between and all over the place to be honest! lol We came here as a night cap for some late night drinks and a party vibe. We at least got that and I can say I've been here. In all, cool spot and venue but just not necessarily my kind vibe...if you catch my drift. One thing to share....the drinks are mad strong and the bathrooms were super clean. lol. Worth a visit when in this area and looking for something to do on the late night tip....because most other places in the Baltimore Harbor area are closed by 10pm or before midnight.

MY FRIEND GOT ROOFIED. MY FRIEND GOT ROOFIED. MY FRIEND GOT ROOFIED. There was also very clearly some operation happening outside where "homeless people" that were clearly just grifters kept getting sent to try and hassle people at the front door. I know for a fact that these people weren't actually homeless - as a homeless person wouldn't have left as soon as I looked them in the eye and called them a fake, they would've just called me an asshole and moved on about tryna get by. The fact that people kept fucking off and replaced by new ones everytime I clocked the hustle means I am correct - there was a shakedown operation happening out front. All the while? There was only one security guard - and all he did was check ID's. I'm sure the dude would've done more if he was properly equipped though. Y'all sincerely need to get your shit together. That was fucking awful. If you are a woman, or empathetic - do not come to this establishment. Apparently you do not have a choice in the matter, you will be manipulated somehow.
