So many great things to say about this place. Upon entering, my group was treated with friendly smiles and excellent service until we departed. The music playlist was really boppin which added to the already light-hearted, southern ambience. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, crabby mac n cheese, and chips. All delicious! Food came out quick and was affordable. Chips are homemade and seasoned with my favorite, old bay. The mac n cheese was also yummy, but had less crab than I was expecting. Pulled pork sandwich came with so much meat which made for a great topping on my chips in addition to some extra BBQ sauce free of cost. What a wonderful place to enjoy a lovely meal with dear friends. I'll be back in my next visit. read more

This is my favorite from the restaurant and truck. The crabby chicken is always juicy, creamy and fills me up. Try it with the crabby fries too! read more

This is a really cool place and perfect for visiting Maryland folks. This is a walk up and order place with find your own seating. I am not a fried food person but if you are, you will enjoy it. Cute atmosphere but loud inside. Occasional smell of sewer sitting outside. Everyone should try it once. read more

Laid back atmosphere, great staff and delicious food. The menu has a good variety and several unique selections. Everything we ordered was amazing, especially the brisket egg rolls. read more

We drove here from Valrico and it was worth the ride. We weren't fans of the calamari as it was really chewy, but the fried banana peppers with it were delicious. Also, we didn't order the calamari so we view it as a bonus item we got to test. I loved the coleslaw and the quesadillas. My boyfriend enjoyed his ribs and sides, as well. The broiled crab balls were delicious and were mostly crab. I also, grabbed a bread pudding, but haven't tried it yet. Will go back if we are out that way again. read more

Charm City Seafood - Crab fries. - Seafood Near Me - Bartow, Florida

Bartow is turning into a hidden gem for foodies. Charm City is the next phenomenal restaurant to open its doors in this city. I visited for the first time with some co-workers this week and tried the Award Winning Crab Cake and Crabby Fries. The Crab Cake was legit and one of the best that I have had in Florida! It was all crab and a perfect mix of shredded and lumps of crab with no fillers. The outside was nicely crisp and the inside was tender and slightly creamy. The crab cake was also paired with a flavorful creamy "Chesapeake sauce". The side of Crabby Fries was addictive! Savory potato wedges were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The fries were topped with a creamy, flavorful and spicy crab dip filled with small bits of tender crabmeat. The meal also came with a side crisp and lightly sweet coleslaw. Overall, Charm City is a must visit. I will be stopping by again as soon as possible. read more

Rice was horrible , tasted pre-cooked Service was okay , quantity was good but wasn't pleased with what I ordered . Wife had the pulled chicken sandwich and she loved it , maybe next time I order something else . read more

We enjoyed well seasoned and nicely broiled crabcakes and delicious seafood bowls! It is a pet friendly place

Way over priced for the quantity of food and as well as the atmosphere. The patio is really not . The concept is a cafeteria / fast casual atmosphere. Stand at counter order get your own drink then sit with a number. Then get up and stand in line each time you need something ! We needed condiments utensils/plastic and then a refill . We also waited on a missing item . Food was pretty good but nothing above average my crab fries got cold waiting on the sauce did not warm up well ! This place had only a couple other tables .. my bill for three people could've been a harborside lunch etc Or catfish country ! read more

Honestly it was mid af, the burger had no flavor, the Mac was lackin and the calamari was also lacking flavor. It was nothing but breading, honestly should have just got sushi from Hibachi Express in Lakeland. Charm City nah more Mid City read more

Visited for the second time, ordered a dozen extra large crabs , what we got were medium to small at best. Manager came over and stated that they came from Maryland and were all #1's but all sizes, when asked why we were charged for XL, he keep saying they are #1. Made it worse by offering to get us 2 XL, one was, the other was the smallest crab I ever saw. First time was fine, simply tell your customer that this shipment had all sizes and charge a appropriate price. The owner handled this issue in the worst possible way. We won't be back. read more

Great food and service. Super friendly. Some of the best collards. The pulled pork sandwich was delish.

Ate there once and had to go back for some more. Great food! It is a walk up to the counter and order but it takes you a little longer to look thru the menu at all the great choices offered. Very casual dining inside or outside. The staff was friendly and quick to ask if we needed anything. Super helpful when I asked for a special request. Our food came and we were not disappointed. Large portions so we had some to take home for later. I would definitely go back! Thanks guys for the birthday wishes too! read more

We had the fried crabby ribs (okay) the crab cake (extraordinary), Mac & Cheese (disappointing), and the seafood bowl (delicious). The ribs: just didn't work with the fried taste along with the crabby dip and lump meat. The sauce and crabmeat where wonderful--just not with the ribs. The crab cake: chock full of delicious crabmeat with just enough breading, etc to keep it all together. Served with a sublime mustard sauce. We traveled an hour and a half...and the crab cake was absolutely worth the drive. Served with the crab cake were homemade chips that were a work of art. Lightly dusted with salt, they were the perfect crunchy accompaniment to the soft cake. I also had the regular Mac&Cheese. This was bitterly disappointing. I would describe it more as pasta with cream sauce--the pasta was undercooked and the sauce good, but to call it "mac&cheese" just isn't accurate. It also came out barely warm. My husband had--and loved--the seafood bowl. Ample amounts of seafood, well spiced rice, and a delicious pico with mango made the dish remarkably delicious. Also remarkable was the service. Even with a fast casual set up, the staff were attentive and friendly. I was impressed that they checked in on us several times and were quick to take trays/trash away. No table stayed messed for more than a few minutes--they were on it! Verdict: we will go again, try other sides, and will never forget to tip very well. This team will earn it! read more

First of all I just want to say everyone is extremely friendly we were checked on about 5 times during our meal. We ordered the seafood bowl and the charm city po boy, they both were delicious I never had soft shell crab before it was different but something that should be experienced. My wife loved the seafood bowl, forgot to order appetizers but we were full when done. The only thing I didn't like was the collard greens they were bitter. Also if they're Maryland based seafood where are the clams that would have gave it 5 stars, but me and my wife will go every week until we try everything on the menu. Again very friendly staff. read more

Charm City Seafood - Brisket quesadilla with chips and coleslaw - Seafood Near Me - Bartow, Florida

I have been here twice and wow this place rocks! I've been to Baltimore and they are the real deal. First off they have some of the nicest and professional staff I ever met! I'm including pics but they might not do the food justice? First time had crabby chicken. I could only eat half and the second half was just as good if not better the first time. Yesterday I tried the fried rib appetizer and oh my gosh. The smoke flavor and the ribs were amazing and the deep-fried crispiness and you've got a real unique dish. I had the super grouper which is an awesome piece of blackened grouper no bun lettuce or tomato but it did include crab dip and crab meat which made it so rich savory and delicious. No comment on the price but I don't know how they're making a profit. Their homemade chips have a little sprinkling of old Bay seasoning and I upgraded to Craby Mac and cheese. This includes old Bay hot sauce and Maryland crab meat on top. I really wish them the best of luck and will be a regular customer read more

This is your place if you like greasy fried up scale food. More of a cafeteria than a restaurant because it's all self service.

Little confused when I walked in on what to do ,doesn't say place order here and seat yourself. We order mahi tacos with fries and coleslaw, girl at cash register was not very helpful.Like have you been here before do you need help just stood their .Placed orders slow to get food but worth the wait very good .Two young men were flying in and out of kitchen with orders and cleaning tables and asked us several times was everything ok ,they should train girl at register. read more

Delicious food and great service! The crab cakes are amazing and they have the best fries ever.

Wow, this place is great! Everything we had was delicious. Our favorite had to be the deep fried smoked ribs. OMG they were so good. Our new favorite. We also had Charm City Po Boy which had soft shell crab and shrimp with crab fries. Crab fries are regular fries but it's like a crab dip in the middle. My wife had a fish sandwich I can't remember what it's called but she really liked it. The mac and cheese is also delicious. Don't forget about the ice cream at the end. Service was also 5 Star. First time. Tables were sticky, calamari was chewy. No condiments offered with the dinner. The Greek salad greens were Fresh but mostly salad greens for $10. Both grilled and fried seafood bowls were bland. Neither of us could taste much if any crab. The breading on the fried seafood was soggy and falling off. The rice underneath was not flavored well and uninteresting. We ordered wine and they ran out of white wine. The prices are comparable to a restaurant with some ambience but not at this restaurant which was order your dinner in front and served on plastic ware in a picnic like atmosphere. Will not return. read more
