Margarita heaven on Saturdays! LOVE that you can't the big house margarita for the price of the small! First, this review is SOLELY on the food truck outside, not the Mexican supermarket it is attached to. This truck packs them in and the locals seem to love them. After a full day at Legoland we decided to try this on the return trip to Tampa. Not sure I agree with the high rating. The size of the tacos is small. Three bites and gone. So, I needed between 5-6 tacos at minimum. Not knowing this, I ended up hungry and had to stop at another restaurant on the way home. The quality and flavor of the tacos was average. The green sauce they give you was the best part because I thought the tacos were dry without this. We tried beef and chicken. Both 3 star. Although about 95% of their clientele are Latino and Mexican, the person taking the orders speaks both English and Spanish. Earlier pictures show a nice covered area with a bunch of tables, however all of these are gone due to Covid and there was only one picnic table, which is NOT under cover. This forces you to either eat in your car or take it home. With so much space here I don't understand why they don't space the tables out and let us eat the fresh food there. At first we weren't sure if we were at the right place, but don't worry, yes, there's a market next door. We got there before closing and there was still bustling and authentic tacos to be had. My husband order their pollo (chicken) tacos and throughly enjoyed them. He said the chicken was crispy, yet juicy. He really appreciated the texture without the flavor being compromised. Now for you veggie lovers, there's nothing for us. Unfortunately, my fam enjoyed and I hope they can put a roasted pepper and maybe nopales taco on the menu for the future. After leaving Lego Land we wanted to grab a bite on our way back to Apollo Beach. I saw that this place had good reviews so we stopped quickly. We tried several different tacos and Aqua fresco. Overall it was a truck spot, hole in the wall but it was easy to order and everything was tasty. We did not have time to go into the store but the parking lot was crowded. I highly recommend if you want a quick authentic bite. Beef needed a little more flavor but texture was perfect. Pork was on point. Chicken was flavorful. read more

The little market is cute! They have so many delicious baked items and even cakes. We found some chips we have never seen that were chorizo flavored and even Diablo kettle chips. They have a meat counter in back too. We ended up getting tacos from the stand outside and they were so good! Cheapest tacos I have seen so far in the area. Friendly people working too, and they take card! If you get the pound of meat like we did, they give you the cilantro, onions and limes and shells on the side. A Mexican market with a taco stand out front, The tacos were all delicious and not done fast food and taco truck style (overcooked and cubed). I had the cabeza (beef cheeks) tripas (stomach/intestines), carnitas, and barbacoa. I've had tripas elsewhere and other places try to hide gamy low quality meat with sauces and toppings-here the toppings are minimal and you can taste crispy tender meat. I returned to have the chicken mole and a half pound of barbacoa inside. The mole was great- the chicken was braised in a savory, and slightly spicy sauce that you wanted to eat every drop of. The barbacoa was perfect - tender, flavorful, with the right amount of fat. It was served with a generous stack of house made corn tortillas (there are good restaurants that will only give 2 or 3 mediocre tortillas). The barbacoa was so good it took me back to my childhood and a place in the Yakima valley where people came for miles to get the barbacoa. The establishment is low on ambiance, catering to takeout and working people but big on quality food. On another occasion had the pork ribs in salsa which has a tasty sauce, but the pork is mostly bones with some pieces dry, so I don't recommend but I had the barbacoa with house-made tortillas which again were fantastic. read more

Great place in the middle of no where with impeccable dessert offerings! The tres leches cake and bakery are just everything! The heart of Mexico is truly alive in their recipe. The grocery store resembles a flea market inside and serves hot and cold food options along with a full service bakery. There is a food truck outside that sells tacos but the true gem is the desserts inside the store.
