It's a large space so I don't think there's ever any wait. Service was quick and friendly. I tried the margarita flight. I actually wasn't the biggest fan (too sweet) but I'm glad I tried it. Next time I'll stick with another drink on their menu (they have so many great looking ones.) My husband got a skinny margarita and liked it. My older son requested queso and it was pretty good. I ended up drizzling it on my beans. He also got chicken tenders, ended up eating the fries, not loving the chicken so we should try something else. My younger son shared my carne asada, which was delicious. I highly recommend. I added the chimmichurri sauce which is the way to go. I got it with black beans. I wasn't a fan of the flour tortillas so no point in getting them and wasting the carbs. My husband got the taco de asada with refried beans and corn tortillas. He enjoyed it and would get it again. This is definitely a great place to stop near Legoland. I would eat here again.

The restaurant itself (referring to the old location on Main Street, as of writing this the restaurant is in the process of relocating) has a small, cozy vibe. Lots of colorful decorations, and depending on the time of year you're likely to come across some holiday decorations. The service is great, most if not all of the employees speak Spanish so if that is your preferred language you'll have no troubles. The menu is large, with tons of options for all ages; though I will say I tend to order the exact same thing every time I go (give the fajitas a try, Chicken is my favorite here, they season the meat very well). Preperation/cook time is also very quick, often you will place an order and have your food on the table in 15-20 minutes. The servers are all pleasant to interact with in my experience, and seem to be knowledgeable when asked about the menu. All in all- if you're looking for a great local joint to enjoy some REAL (not some pale crappy tex-mex imitation) Mexican food, and support a family business, you can't do better than El Olivo!

This place is part of the larger Bowden Yard which has several other restaurants all connected, (think permanent food trucks with eating space.) but it's very family friendly and you can eat in the courtyard allowing your more picky people to get what they want somewhere else.
