I made a random stop here. The Outside reminded me of some sort of gas station lot and it was full of cars. My first thought was this has to be good. I wasn't disappointed. You are given chips and pico de gallo for the table. The pico de gallo was so fresh. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and although not the typical size I was expecting, it was stuffed and delicious. Definitely recommend this place. Side note I don't think they sell liquor and my table wasn't given any utensils. read more

We are newer to the area. Our son's friend recommended Ximena's Tacos. We bought a cup of the pico de gallo salsa, which was yummy! Hubby had an Al Pastor taco, birria taco and a chorizo taco. He recommends the Al Pastor. I had the marinated chicken tacos and they were awesome! We'll be back for sure! Service was also great, by the way. read more

I have been to this little restaurant at least 50+ times within the past couple of years. Every single time that I have been, the food is absolutely on point. The tacos are phenomenal and are excellent for lunch. Chips and salsa are also pretty dang good. Staff is always polite, service is quick and the restaurant is clean. Like other restaurants, the prices have crept up quite a bit over the years, but that is to be expected. Overall, A+ 100% recommended. read more

I love mom and pop places and this definitely qualifies as that. The food was pretty good and large portions! Go easy on the chips and salsa. My biggest complaint is no fountain drink and a can of soda is $2 and obviously no refills. Still overall it's pretty good. read more

This place was just OK nothing to write home about. Their homemade salsa is actually pretty great similar to what I make it home, but besides that I wouldn't walk in there expecting an authentic experience. Furthermore is the little things for instance they give you some sauces for your tacos. However, the bottle looks like somebody grabbed it with completely filthy hands and left fingerprints and particles of food and other unidentified things all over it. It's actually quite disturbing that you need to wrap the bottle around in a paper towel to utilize it and get the crud off the top of the bottle to avoid it falling onto your food. The price isn't the best and it's actually overpriced for what you get. There's better options around there at food trucks that serve a significantly better dish and better experience. I've eaten here twice and this last visit will be my last visit. read more

Ximenas tacos was really good. We came here looking for some tacos and it didn't disappoint. Ximena's menu is simple but has a little bit of everything for everyone's taste. We ordered a tostada and a whole lo of tacos. Al pastor, de cabeza, molida, chorizo. Everything was DELICIOUS. Only 4 stars because it doesn't have a spicy sauce. All sauces that they gave me were nice... but certainly not spicy. (For those of us that like some heat). Non-alcoholic beverages only so that was also a downer. My husband and I are visiting family in Auburndale and came upon Ximena's Tacos. What a lovely surprise. I ordered Medium Ground Meat Nachos and two steak tacos. My husband ordered the three Steak Taco dinner. The Nachos portion was huge. Fresh, flavorful and filling. I never got to eat my tacos, my husband inhaled them after I was too full to have them. The chip portions were to small for 2 people we needed a refill every 2 minutes but they did not deliver for at least 10. drinks were empty almost the whole time. the ceiling was leaking right next to where we were sitting to the queso dip was the only decent thing about this place but nothing to brag about. This place isn't very noticeable. I've been past it many times and never noticed it. I found it through an online search. It's a pretty small place that does inside seating and to go. Not a lot of parking. Inside is small but nice and clean. The staff were very nice and checked in on us a lot. The tacos were very good. I really liked the pork. Chimichanga was pretty good. The nachos were good as well. They were a little different than what were used to. There was no melted cheese but the cheese crumbles instead. It would be nice to have a melted cheese option. Prices were very fair. Overall really nice so we will be back. The tacos were my favorite so I'll be stuffing my face with them next time. read more

I've eaten here a handful of times and enjoyed the food. The staff is friendly. That said I learned from a staff member that the owner keeps all the tips. Been coming here for years since moving to Auburndale, and have seen the price increase of the food but the portion is less. Ordered 1lbs of al pastor today and got more big chunks of onions that the meat itself. The price also increased yet again and the lady in the front said the service was better. Tasty food but just too salty. I had a burrito. It had too much salt but otherwise ok. I also ordered guac which was really, really too salty. Barely edible. Someone needs to take Ximena's salt away. "Ding dong" someone came in the door. Every five minutes the entire dining room has to hear this with each guest entering or togo order pickup. Lastly, a super loud banging from the kitchen was not a nice thing to hear during dinner. The dining room is full. Could construction be done on a weekday morning? Or on days you're closed? Older building which is very well maintained and very clean. We found this restaurant in the middle of Florida and decided to give it a chance. It's not a chain restaurant but is a small family owned establishment. All the food was freshly made which really makes a difference in the overall quality of the meal. The staff was super friendly and very attentive to making sure our food was perfect. Well worth the trip to try it out. Only thing which could have been improved was my tomato was a little green but I'm writing this in December so what can we expect? I really enjoyed this restaurant! Who doesn't love Latin food? I ordered a burrito with barbacoa, my husband ordered a chimichanga with steak.
