Wow this place is amazing. I ordered from Uber eats. I got a little too much food for one but I really wanted to try many items! I got the three meats, I picked the steak, chicken kabobs and gyro meat, all was seasoned perfectly, all the meats were delicious. I got the Greek salad and fries and my sides, perfect salad and fries were crunchy! I also got the hummus, tzatziki which came with pita and also the Greek pasta salad. Yes a lot of food I know. Everything was so delicious, loved that pasta salad!!'

Went to this place on a whim. In town to visit family, and this was near our hotel. Best decision on the trip so far. Great food and even better people. Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. We all had gyros, of course, and then were were treated with excellent desserts. We will be back again as many times as possible.

I was looking to pick up something to have in the room since many businesses will be closed tomorrow in observance of Thanksgiving. I saw Charlie's and picked up a Mediterranean salad. I tried a little when I got back to the hotel, and it was pretty good. The indoor seating looked very nice. The staff was nice too with big smiles upon their faces. I noticed there are lunch specials every day of the week except Sundays. If you are in the Wake Forest area, stop by Charlie's Kabob Grill to try some excellent Mediterranean food!

Kids meal gyro meat, French fries, Tzatziki sauce

This was my first time here and I was ready to order the gyro platter special but it wasn't Monday so I had to make a quick decision. I choose the kids gyro meal as I didn't want to pay the extra for the gyro meal when it wasn't on special. Let's just say I am thrifty. So anyway I got the kids meal and it was delicious. The lamb gyro meat was so tender and flavorful. The French fries were crispy, had texture and were burn your mouth hot ( which is the way I love them) and the tzatziki sauce was so good. I could probably did anything into it as the flavor was so yummy. I will certainly return and might try the falafel next time as my friend has that and it looked delish.

Got a great meal here! Ordered the Hercules Gyro with a side of fries. Great portion size and everything was soooo delicious. We also got a side of baba ganoush and hummus and both were good too. Would recommend this place!

Quick review here. I usually go to Charlie's maybe twice a month for lunch and usually on Fridays. And, I go to the Capital Boulevard location for the most part. I have been to the Rogers Road restaurant a couple of times. The food and service here are very good. Both locations are nice and have a nice offering on their menus. It's tough to find Lebanese / Middle Eastern foods here in this area of Wake County and I'm glad this establishment is around to provide that. Today, I went with the The Bomb Platter. It's one of the Lebanese specials on the menu. I got it with the lamb which is on a bed of fried rice, banana peppers, tomato, onion, Mediterranean spices, hot chop and tahini sauce. The dish comes with pita bread cut into triangles. It is really good. The lamb was seasoned nicely and cooked to order. The spices mixed well with the rice base of the dish. The tahini sauce was drizzled lightly on top and didn't negate from the overall spicy flavor of the dish. I liked it very much. Like I said, the food here is consistent and the service is really good. The interior is nice and is decorated in a middle eastern theme. You won't be disappointed when you come here.

First visit in about 2 years. Food is still good. We ordered Charlie's special , Hercules gyro and baba Ghannouj side. Would be 4 stars if the baba Ghannouj isn't that small compare to other pics on Yelp. The side was pretty small for $4.49 - see pictures. Other than that - lunch time pretty busy - next time I will call ahead.

I happened to be in the area for work and thought I'd check the place out for dinner. Unfortunately I was a little let down. You would think being a "kabob" restaurant that there would be amazing kabobs. However the lamb was very chewy. A couple of pieces I had to spit out because I couldn't chew them. The hummus was a little lack luster. It could have been an off night, but I don't see myself coming back here.

There weren't many patrons in the restaurant at the time, and most had already had their meals when we arrived. We were able to get our food within a few minutes after asking for it to go and letting them know we had a movie to go to. We did get a chance to eat some of our food before rushing over to the theater. The beef was seasoned well and tender. The lemon garlic sauce was so good. The rice and vegetables were plentiful, plenty of chickpeas. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I did enjoy it. My daughter gave the Chicken wrap a 7 out of 10. There were some patrons dining in and several pick up orders during the hour we were there. I'd definitely go back and try some of the other menu options.

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

We ordered the grape leaves, baklava, namoora and tabbouli. I am Lebanese and these are staples in our home. The grape leaves were extremely dry and tough. The rice was very undercooked and the leaves themselves were so dry and tough we could barely chew through them. We ordered 12 and thought maybe it was a fluke but all 12 were completely inedible and we threw them out immediately. The baklava was okay, nothing to write home about. Very simple syrup forward and you couldn't taste much else (we ordered the walnut). The namoora was stale. Very dry. Namoora should melt in your mouth with with a slight chew. This was again, tough and stale. We threw those out as well. Lastly, our favorite salad, tabbouli. The lemon taste was nonexistent. The parsley wasn't chopped fine as Tabbouli should be. It was a watery mess. Overall, we won't be back. We spent over $75 on 4 items and left feeling hungry and bamboozled. There are other Lebanese food spots to visit in the Raleigh area, I will stick to those. Please do better when representing Lebanese cuisine. 15 workers behind the counter can seem like you're doing something right but in the end, it all comes down to the freshness and authenticity of what you are claiming to serve.
