This place is a little hidden gem in a random strip mall. I was on an epic day of thrifting with my mom, and so at one of our stops we yelped a lunch option nearby. We both love Mediterranean food, and the reviews were great, so we stopped in. The chef makes everything to order, and she evidentially is the former owner, who sold her shop in order to spend more time with grandkids. She's lovely! As we waited for our food there were a few others who came in and seemed to be regulars who knew how good this place is. I got chicken shawarma deluxe, and it was perfect. No notes! My mom got the vegetarian platter and specifically raved about the falafel- they were like adorable little donuts and really tasty. I would highly recommend this place! Glad to hear a change in ownership didn't seem to cause any issues. read more

I go to the gym right next to this restaurant and I've seen this place for over a year now. It's in the shopping center next to Planet Fitness and Outback. How dare I take that long to try it. Although, I went in just as they were closing, they were super accommodating and patient as I decided what to get. I had the Lamb Gyro Platter, it comes with a salad, hummus and tzatziki sauce. The lamb was tender and a little crispy. The portions are big and I would highly recommend for a quick Mediterranean spot. read more

Gyros were delicious, well portioned, perfectly prepared. Salad was fresh and tasty...kind of on the small side. Fries are standard crinkle cut wholesale product...meh. Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Restaurant was as neat as could be and very clean and tidy. Just a simple strip-mall joint managed by somebody that cares about their store. Prices are about what you expect....may be a wee bit on the high side but not crazy. read more

Looking for a healthier alternative for lunch with my daughter. She had the Steak and Cheese Gyro and I had the Chicken Gyro and we shared a side of Falafel. So yummy. The service was great and everything came to us as soon as it was made so super hot. They even had a fancy tea dispenser that did sweet / unsweetened and you could add lemonade! Super convenient location and the restaurant and bathroom were super clean! Definitely visit again! read more

Lowkey little spot but well priced and good, fresh food guaranteed. I recommend calling ahead if you're going to order as opposed to ordering online. I'm a sucker for a chicken kabob and warm pita bread, so both their kabob platters and kabob sandwiches/gyros deliver. read more

Yes, I came back with photos this time. As you can see, I didn't make it past the first bite, but I promise I will next time LOL I absolutely love this place. The service is always so amazing and friendly. The food is so fresh and mouth watering. I barely made it out of the parking lot, and I surely didn't make it down Capital Blvd. I'm always supportive of a family-run establishment and Mona can have my money when it comes to my belly any day. I can't wait to bring my Mom here to try the food! read more

Mona is a sweetheart and was very welcoming and you can tell she puts a lot of care into this place. That being said, I would rate the food here good, not great. I may be wrong but the rice that came with the meal seemed like one of those boxed mixes and maybe not as authentic as what I've had in the past. The chicken kabobs were great and the hummus is very tasty. The soda machine was down the day we were there and they had limited options for drinks so we had to walk over to the Papa John's a couple doors down to spend $3 a pop on a couple diet sodas. Also, the menu is really off putting because of all the items that are crossed out with sharpie or revised pricing written over what was originally in the menu. When you walk in and see that on top of the soda machine being out of order it makes you wonder about the quality you are receiving. I gave it a four because I think Mona is putting decent, mostly authentic food out, but had the food been any less the stars would have dropped quite a bit based off of what we experienced. read more

Halal Pita - Eating area - Mediterranean Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Great food and service from a family run business. I had a lamb gyro, hummus, pita, and baklava. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Ordered delivery. I don't know what this is, but it's not Greek food. TL;DR: Taziki's is the better move. Anyway, I tried: + Chicken Gyro Sandwich + Lamb Gyro Platter + Shawarma Platter - this was decent + Chicken Kabob Platter + Chicken Fingers Basket with fries + Mozzarella Sticks with fries + Large Greek Salad - good + Grape Leaves (3 pieces) + Orzo & Feta Pasta Salad + Tzatziki with Hot Pita - awful, like salad dressing + Hummus with Hot Pita - good but had something really spicy in it + Babaghannouj with Hot Pita + Baklava - this was strangely the best thing we had, would recommend Very confused by their amazing rating - maybe we just caught them on an off night? read more

We love this place. It's a true hidden gem. Food is always amazing and the staff are incredibly nice.

I checked out this place for lunch on Saturday after reading all the amazing reviews. I ordered the chicken kabob meal with pita, hummus, rice pilaf and a Greek salad. Everything was really good, especially the chicken. The iced tea is terrible though, I was hoping for a delicious fresh brewed tea, and it was weak and watered down. The owners are really nice. I will return when I'm back in the area. read more

A late lunch and a very empty stomach, we stumbled upon Mona pita. And got to meet Mona herself, who is absolutely so kind and wonderful. We were not sure what to order, so I asked her for her favorite recommendations. We got to try the lamb platter, and the chicken kebab platter. We also got a side of falafel, and of course for dessert... Baklava. The chicken was juicy and tender and flavorful. It came with a great side of yellow rice, and a Greek style salad. Pita and hummus also! A great value for a nice platter of food. The lamb was very delicious, same sides on that platter as well. The favorite was the Tahina yogurt dip that comes with the falafel. I would highly recommend getting extra cups of that and dipping everything in it! A great find if your belly is empty, and you want some delicious Mediterranean style food. read more

I love the food from here! I have only ever gotten delivery or takeout from here, but every time I love what I get. I normally get the lamb platter and that is delicious every time. My husband has gotten the gyro and fries and loves those too. Whenever I pick up, the lady that works there is extremely nice and my food is always ready on time. Great service! read more

Delicious! I was in for lunch with 2 picky teens. Lamb gyros were a hit for both, one said they had the best fries. I had the small Greek salad along with baba ghannouj and pita. The baba ghannouij was the best in the area and that's tough competition. The owners were so nice and gave me the secret to their baba ghannouij! We hadn't eaten here in years but we'll be back sooner next time! read more

Mona Pita was a gem to find after my appointment yesterday. It is tucked in a down on its luck strip mall. I was warmly greeted as I walked in by the sweetest lady who took my order. The menu was small, but had a good variety of entrees, salads, and appetizers. I got the chicken kabob that came with two skewers of grilled chicken, yellow rice, hummus, and a salad. The food was delicious, lightly seasoned and not super salty. I was a little sad about the portion size compared to the cost. For the size I was expecting a little more food. However, with the times we are in this can be expected. read more

Stopped in for the first time to grab a quick lunch and I love Mediterranean foods. I opted for the chicken kabobs platter. It comes with seasoned rice, salad, hummus and pita. Not bad for $14. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The hummus was really good. Some of the best I have had in the area. The pita was soft and warm. Not a huge fan of the rice as it was a bit overcooked on this try. I doubt that's a regular occurrence. Overall, i really enjoyed it and will be back. read more

Halal Pita - Falafel Pita Sandwich and Fries/Hummus - Mediterranean Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

The fam and I were visiting from our hometown Orlando, Florida and we stumbled upon this great place. We each got their lunch special which was a lamb wrap, fries and drink for $11.99. (which in my opinion was priced GREAT) The food was very good and the owners were very sweet. They made our food efficiently while it also tasted great. The place is also big, with tons of seating. Give it a try! Promise it won't disappoint. read more

I know, I know. I love going to hole in the wall type of restaurants. Well this is another one. It is on the end of a strip mall. Nothing special to look at. The interior is old and drab. The restrooms are old and worn, but clean. The food on the other hand is great. I have eaten here numerous times. The quality is consistent and the taste is good. If you are wanting good basic Mediterranean food for a reasonable price this is the place. Make sure and try the baklava. Check out my pictures. read more

Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 12/17/2016 7:00pm Order: Chicken Kabob platter (substitute hummus/salad with tabouleh/tsatsiki) Crowd: empty with a few coming in for pick up orders Since Greek Fiesta decided to change up their menu and not serve tabouleh on their platters, been looking for a comparable place to call "home". Mona Pita comes really close! Their chicken kabobs are spiced very similar and they allow tabouleh to be substituted! They seem to prepare their food (tabouleh, hummus, tsatsiki) more on the lemony side which is ok with me, but some may like less of it. The owners are very nice and accomodating. I asked about the difference between Pita and Lafa Pita and she explained and then later offered a triangle slice! Great service! :-) The place itself is just basic with tables and chairs. It used to be Quiznos so you can imagine how hard it would be to put in booths. With that said, it's basically an order and get called up type of place, but the food is great! Highly recommended! PS - Thank goodness there were pics submitted for the chicken kabob platter as mine was taken a bit late :-) =========== Updated 7/26/2019 Food: 3.5 Service: 5 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 7/26/2019 7:30pm Order: Chicken Kabob platter (substitute salad with more hummus) Crowd: empty with a few coming in for pick up orders Came back after 1-1/2 years and things have changed in the taste of the food. Although still good, the hummus is a bit on the bland side with a thinner texture. The pepper relish added some flavor. The chicken spices seemed to be added rather than marinated so it didn't have a consistent spice taste but it was tasty. The service is still great and the prices are very reasonable. Recommended if you are not a big hummus fan. read more

I tried this place a few years ago when they first opened and was highly disappointed in their beef kabob platter because of the seasoning they use for their steaks, but I was just wondering if the tangy taste was because it was old meat. Fast forward to over 5 years later (during COVID) I gave it another try based off tons of good reviews. I ordered the same beef kabob platter, chicken gyro and chicken shawarma lunch combos. All 3 of us were quite disappointed in our food. Even the fries we got with the gyro were soggy. There were no other customers at the time I got my takeout order so I had higher expectations that they would've did better in making our meals and I live near by so it didn't take me long to pick up the order soon after I called it in. The staff were very friendly, but I had to ask if my combos came with a drink --which I knew they did but they had walked away after ringing me up so I had to wait for them to come back. I am not very fond of that type of service when they don't wait on you to make sure you have everything before you leave. I wish I could recommend this place, but unfortunately I would probably never come back myself. read more

So last night none of the adults in my house were up for cooking. This wasn't too far from home and the reviews were good. The owners were super friendly. My son no sooner than he gets his drink spills half of it. I am grabbing napkins and the owner hands me a super absorbent towel. I could have hugged her. They made the sandwiches fresh and they were delicious. The sides were no as great, but I owe this to us being on of the last customers. Hoping to get back earlier in the day for our next visit. Overall really pleasant meal and store was clean and well lit. Also, loved the music playing in the background. read more
