Very caring. Clear instructions. Skill is great. Answer questions patiently and give patient enough time to explain the procedures

2-year update - the scarring emerged at about 9 months after the procedure but he treated it and it flattened out.

I am into eastern medicine, yoga, supplements and etc. I was upset about the idea of surgery. I interviewed four plastic surgeons over the course of two months, as well as talking to many other patients online and on Facebook about breast surgery. In the end, Dr. La Via stood out because she really listened deeply, answered every question in detail, was honest, kind and direct about what to expect. I felt she was a perfectionist and that she was able to see me as a person and guide me to the best option, not just physically and aesthetically, but emotionally. Not all surgeons can do this. I also knew she was my dermatologist's surgeon, which inspired my trust. Dr. La Via helped me make tough decisions about the way my procedure would go. I'm an overthinker and was worried about pain, risks, and potential longterm side effects. I was torn about some of the details, I'm sure I was a bit annoying with all my questions. There was no pressure and ultimately, I felt so confident in Dr. La Via that I let her decide what would work best for me. 5 years post, I'm 100% happy with the guidance, results, and aftercare I received. Also, bonus: I experienced zero pain in the weeks and months post surgery, just fatigue. I have no visible scars. The office team is calm, kind, professional and prompt to answer questions. You are safe and in very good hands with Dr. La Via.

I traveled from the East Coast to get my old implants (ruptured with capsular contracture) replaced with him. I knew I was in great hands from start to finish. I can't speak enough great things about Dr. Eugene Kim! He is exceptional in every way. As a surgeon Dr. Eugene is incredibly detailed, careful, attentive, and has excellent surgical technique and gave a lot of individual intention and precision to my specific situation to give me the best possible results long term. His OR nurse and team also spoke very highly of him and his skills. His personality and knowledge are also top notch. Dr Kim is very honest, trustworthy, caring and an expert in his field, with zero ego and over reliance of heavy marketing of other plastic surgeons in town (IMO he doesn't need to, because he's the real deal) He is an absolute professional, pleasant, patient, caring, and humble. My results far exceeded my expectations in every way, as I felt I had a complex case. Dr Eugene Kim is a truly kind and excellent doctor and human who cares about his quality of work and his patients' outcomes and delivers incredible results. Im only 2.5 weeks post op and my results speak for themselves! Could not be happier! I would definitely back to him for any future procedures I may choose to do and recommend him to all, and trust the process. Thank you Dr. Eugene Kim! 11/10- The best of the best.

Treated poorly, multiple complications, awful result, arrogant, dismissive of my concerns, waisted $30k. Had to go to another surgeon to completely redo. Dr. Teitelbaum was so nice during the consultation. Acted like he knew what I wanted and did not raise any concerns about achieving them. I booked my procedure. He had me come in a week prior to deflate previous implants (to see how my skin would bounce back). He was not very nice during this appointment. Treated me Like an object, not a person with feelings. He was very rough and didn't speak to me until afterwards. I had a few questions at that point and he was quite arrogant & rude with his responses. I left there and cried in my car and prayed that he was just having a bad day, because i already paid a Large deposit and he already deflated my existing implants. So I felt as if I had to continue moving forward. A week later it was the day of my procedure and he seemed to be in a better mood, so I was optimistic about the surgery. The minute my surgery was done I was walked back to my room (pretty out of it) and then discharged. A day later I went in for my follow up. He walked in from across the room and said how is everything and I said it was fine. They were so Swollen, it was too early to tell anything. I had drains also. I was sent home with a follow up in 6 days to get the drains out. I did not see the Dr. when I got the drains out. Only his nurse Chrissley. I was sent home with a follow up in a month. 6 days later my stitches in my back (from lipo) were itching so bad and my skin was starting to heal over the stitches. So I called and asked when I was supposed to have them removed and apparently they were supposed to take them Out when they took the drains out, but had forgotten. So I had to drop everything and go get them removed. Needless to say, I have 3 scars from those stitches now, that I would t have had if they were removed on time. At my one month follow up, I brought up my concerns about my result. I was super nice and sweet (because I don't have a mean bone in my body). Dr. Teitelbaum was extremely rude and mean. He told me I had no idea what I was talking about and that no Dr. in their right mind would ever do what I was asking for. He completely dismissed me bringing up that they were saggier than when I came to see him to begin with. He said "that's what bras are for". He said I don't know what you want from me. I said, "I just want you to take pride in your work and say you will fix them". I left after that. I received an apology email from the doctor the next day. His staff also called me and said he would fix them And make it right. Weeks after that, I had an infection in one of the breasts along with multiple stitches that were sticking out of my breast and needed to be removed. They took a Culture of the infection and sent it off to the lab so they could figure out which antibiotic to give me. I waited a week, but apparently the tube they used was expired so the lab wouldn't process it and I had to go back in again and take another culture. At this point my body was trying to get rid of the infection, so it had opened up in several Spots under that breast (holes in my skin). So when I went back in that time (for the second culture). The dr. Dug around in the holes (very painful) and pulled out tissue and more stitches and sent me on my way again. At that point, I was worried about getting sepsis from having the infection for 4 months. I went to my primary care physician, who then put me on a way stronger antibiotic. This finally got rid of the infection. Needless to say, I did not trust Dr. Teitelbaum with my care and definitely did not trust him to perform any kind of surgery on me to rectify his botch job. I ended up with saggier boobs than when I originally went to him. They were not symmetrical, one nipple was way higher than the other, one breast was veering off to the right, while the other was straight forward. I was depressed for a year and half from what this doctor did to me. I recently went to a different surgeon (highly recommended by my Oncologist) who achieved everything we discussed (no complications, no drains, no swelling, no infection, caring and gentle doctor) and I am very happy now. I have never written a bad review in my life, but too many professionals have encouraged me to write this to hopefully spare someone from experiencing the trauma I did with this man.

I consulted with Dr. Karimi and found out that my breathing issues involved a combination of factors and structural issues with my airway. I also wanted a smoother, smaller, and more refined nose, and decided to pursue surgery to improve both the breathing and aesthetic concerns, and it was truly the best decision!!I The procedure was an easy recovery that was 100% worth the reward. Dr. Karimi and the team provided amazing perioperative support, with all of the supplies, information, and emotional support to get through surgery and recovery. I followed his protocols and had very minimal bruising and facial swelling - once I got my cast removed, you honestly couldn't tell that I had a rhinoplasty a week prior if you didn't know me. My life and sleep quality have improved so much with better breathing, it is truly life changing! Dr. Karimi also made sure that my results were very natural and fitting to my face - I feel like this is the nose I was always meant to have, just a better version of my nose. I'm really happy with my results and would highly recommend him.

For clarity: I requested a refund due to an outcome I found unacceptable. A revision was offered, but I did not feel comfortable undergoing further surgery with the same provider. At one point, Dr. Karimi's lawyer called me and asked me to get on a Zoom call with her so that she could look at my nose. I told her I felt it would be more appropriate for my doctor to examine my nose rather than a lawyer. The photos include minor anonymity edits (eye coverage) but otherwise reflect my experience. I believe review platforms exist so patients can share honest outcomes and make informed decisions.
