I was referred to Dr Batal by my primary doctor because I had varicose veins in both my legs, they weren't such a big deal before but they began to cause pain so I needed to take care of them quickly and effectively. First off, walking up to the building I have to say it is gorgeous, really clean and modern, did not make me feel iffy at all, I actually felt like I was walking into a upscale office which made me confident that I was going to receive excellent care. Upon walking in I was greeted right away by the front desk receptionist, I didn't get her name but she was great, very attentive, she offered me some coffee and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. After a short wait (maybe 20 minutes) I was then taken into an exam room, which was nice and big, nice décor. Dr batal came in examined my legs and went over all my different options in order to fix my vericose veins, he told me that he believed that in my specific case the best and most effective option would be laser ablation, and he told me that it took 20-30 minutes and recovery was quick, 1-3 days and I would be able to walk immediately after, all this was great news to me because I didn't not want to be out of commission for a long time so a gave him the green light to go ahead with the procedure. I was a little nervous about the procure so he offered me a very light sedative just to help me relax, I agreed. He started the procedure with some local anesthetic that part hurt quite a bit for maybe 30 seconds but after that I pretty much didn't feel anything else. He then put a needle in my vein and then inserted the laser part and was guiding it with an ultrasound. His assistant kept me distracted during the whole procedure, she was so nice, she talked to me the whole time and made sure I was relaxed and comfortable, and BOOM 20 minutes later we were done. The assistant handed me some compression socks and I was walking out the office by myself with my vericose veins resolves. It's now 3 days after I had the procedure and my pain is almost non existent! I am so impressed with this procedure and I am especially thankful to Dr Batal and his Assistant because the made me feel at ease going through the procedure, and they had me follow up with them to make sure I was doing good. I am a 55 year old female who has never been comfortable with my mid section. I had 3 big babies (c-sections). I met Dr. Batal and right away could tell he was passionate about his work and truly an artist. If I am being brutally honest it isn't easy having a stranger stare at your body, holding your rolls of fat, while asking you questions. Vulnerable much? I needed emergency surgery after visiting the ER and finding the right surgeon to perform a surgery that had more unknowns than knowns and due to this scenario it had become difficult to locate a surgeon willing to take take care of my procedure. As it turned out, Dr. Batal was available and accepted my surgical case including the unknown factors, even with the possibility of the procedure becoming a major operation. I work in a hardware store, so I lift heavy things day in and day out at work. Over the years I have developed hernias and had surgery for them and in the past recovery has been hard, and the surgeons I got were not so great, they got the job done but did the bare minimum. I recently got a hernia again and I was determined to find a really good surgeon who would do the job right so I did extensive searching for one, I found Dr.Batal. I suffered with acid reflux for a long time and medication stopped working, finally my primary doctor told me the next option would be surgery so he referred me to a specialist which was Dr.Batal. He did an endoscopy on me to make sure I was a good candidate for the surgery, which sounded scary but It's was a breeze with Dr. Batal. After the endoscopy he performed the surgery to correct my acid reflux, again the procedure was pretty simple and it was a very short recovery time now I can eat whatever I want and I no longer get symptoms. Dr Obaida Batal is certainly and expert in his field. I began to feel ill back in August, I had severe abdominal pain and soon after began to turn yellow. Turned out I had developed gall stones and my bile duct was blocked an so it needed to be addressed by surgery.
