If I could give Dr. Kim six stars, I absolutely would…read more I spent about two years consulting with different surgeons, and Dr. Kim was the only one I returned to for a second consultation. No matter who else I met with, I kept coming back to his work. Since I was living in Los Angeles, his pricing was very much in line with other surgeons in the area, I'm currently about eight weeks post-op. While my final results are still developing, I can confidently say that through every stage of healing so far, my results have been exactly what I envisioned. I was initially very nervous about undergoing surgery, especially since this was my first major procedure and I wasn't unhappy with my natural size (starting at a full B cup). However, I have absolutely no regrets--if anything, I would make the same decision again without hesitation. I'm already hoping that when the time comes years from now to replace my implants, Dr. Kim is still practicing in Beverly Hills, because I truly wouldn't consider going anywhere else. One of the key reasons I chose him was that he was one of the few surgeons willing to perform the procedure through an armpit incision, which was a non negotiable for me On the day of surgery, I did feel quite anxious, but his pre opt team was incredible, I first met the pre-op nurse that had such a warm, calming presence--she was incredibly reassuring and made me feel genuinely cared for. She explained how experienced Dr. Kim is, how easy of a surgery this is and how I'd just be taking a short nap and wake up with my dream body! Shortly after meeting this amazing woman, I had another wonderful experience with the anesthesiologist as well, who took the time to walk me through everything and reassure me. He emphasized that he would be monitoring me the entire time, fully present and attentive, which gave me a deep sense of comfort and safety. That I greatly appreciated due to the fact of being EXTREMELY nervous that morning Before the procedure, Dr. Kim came in, carefully marked everything, and made sure we were completely aligned on my goals. I felt very confident in his hands. From my hours of research on breast augmentations I had heard that results can look concerning in the first few days post-op, so I was hesitant to look at my results right away, but even on just day 3 or 4, when I was able to shower, I was honestly AMAZED. Even that early on, I loved how they looked. Since then, they've only continued to improve. Each week they look & feel more natural. The results have continued to exceed my expectations. I can not even count how many compliments I've received on his work so far As someone who excessively reads reviews before making big investments or financial decisions, I wanted to share my experience for anyone considering Dr. Kim. While I can only speak for myself, I can say that I am extremely happy with my results and just my overall experience. Every question I had, they were so kind, patient, and went out of their way to support me in my requests. I was even able to get my pre-surgery bloodwork/labs done in house. Surgery was scary, but the nurses were so kind and understanding. They were able to settle my nerves and it made going under so peaceful and easy. Surgery went beautifully. Dr C. made me so snatched I almost blew away in the wind. When I woke up my nurses helped my partner and I prep for caring to my wounds at home. During recovery, my partner called the office daily with questions and the staff again was SO helpful. They were incredible at helping me schedule lymphatic drainage massages, follow ups, and even procuring the shapewear I needed. They provided to-do lists and general dos/fonts for an easy recovery. The price of everything was very fair for the area and the scope of work. The results are beautiful, and the care of the staff took this over the top. Plastic surgery is no joke and not a casual affair, and I went back and forth for YEARS about whether or not to do it. I'm so glad I did it, and especially glad I did my research and picked a place with such empathetic staff. I have lost about 100lbs overall, and have had 2 c-sections. I work out and eat healthy, but I had this apron of skin hanging. I have never been thin until the last couple years I guess. I have been following Dr. Schwartz for a few years now on social media along with a few other drs I had in mind. He was my first and only consult I went to! Post surgery was a struggle to be honest. I had more swelling then I had anticipated, but Dr. Schwartz and Maggie assured me it was just swelling. I had lipo of arms/inner thighs and 360 lipo! My surgery was 2/4/2022 and Im about 3 months post op! I had such an amazing experience with Dr Golpanian that I am actually writing my first Yelp review ever because I LOVE my results. I originally went to another surgeon for my consultation and Dr. Golpanian worked with that doctor. Dr Golpanian actually ended up taking over my surgery and performed everything for me. I wanted a slimmer waist, arms and thighs. My biggest concern was my waist. I really love how natural it looks already!!!!! It's not overly sucked in or overly lipo-ed. Im still a bit swollen but the results look very smooth and I'm healing extremely nicely. 360 lipo area was bearable in terms of recovery pain but my inner thighs and arms were the MOST painful in terms of recovery. I see the most difference in my 360 area, I'm a little bit slower in the healing of arms and thighs which was expected and mentioned. But I can still see more definition in my arms. The office he works out of is beautiful and the staff was really friendly even when LA traffic made me late a few times. That's the only downside to coming to his office all the way from SD. I liked that the surgery center and his office is in the same building and there's a pharmacy across the street to grab your medications. The staff made me really comfortable when I was taking pictures (which could be really nerve wrecking because you're in your underwear). I liked the way Dr. Golpanian thoroughly explained what he was doing before and after my surgery. He was accessible thru text and explained the importance of lymphatic massages which I'm so glad he did! Made a difference in my healing process. I cannot wait to see how I look fully healed!!!! I have never had surgery before so I was very very nervous coming into this BBL surgery. I had Zoomed with Dr. Golpanian for my consultation, and he was very professional. He said I was a great candidate for this surgery. The more we talked, the more he made me feel comfortable and safe. The morning of my surgery, I was shaking. I was very nervous and second guessing the whole thing. Dr. Golpanian came in, coffee in hand, and was very alive and awake and ready for this long surgery. He started marking my body up for where he would be working on my body, and I expressed how nervous I was. He reassured me that everything is going to be OK and I will be waking up before I know it. The anesthesiologist came in, and she was such an upbeat, funny woman, she immediately made me feel comfortable and made me laugh. Next thing I know, I am waking up to a nurse calling my name. Dr. Golpanian came in and told me I did very well and everything went smoothly. The next couple weeks of recovery were rough, I was not used to my whole body being in pain, but knew I was strong enough to endure it. Elise, Dr. Golpanian's assistant made herself available whenever I had questions or concerns. She always answered promptly and was extremely helpful through the whole recovery process. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Golpanian for any surgery offered. He is extremely professional, informative, and does such an AMAZING job. Even at just three weeks post-op, my incision lines are beautiful. My tummy tuck scar is low enough to stay hidden and is incredibly precise. His attention to detail is remarkable. My belly button is small and natural-looking rather than the obvious post-tummy tuck look you see. Because I had significant excess skin on my back, Dr. Kohan extended the breast lift to address that area as well. Dr. Kohan is not just a surgeon, he's an artist. I trust him completely, and I'm so glad I chose him! Dr. Emil Kohan - Surgical Mastermind Beyond being a highly skilled surgeon, Dr. Kohan is one of the kindest surgeons I've ever met. Myria - Surgery Coordinator Extraordinaire Myria is the surgery coordinator, but she's also the heart and mom of the office. From the moment I submitted my consultation request through my recovery, she has been there every step of the way. Even three weeks post-op, I still text her questions almost daily. She goes above and beyond, even responding to me during the evenings and/or weekends. I live out of town, so I initially chose a virtual consultation. Myria had Dr. Kohan review my photos and coordinated everything. Their consultations were free, which was nice after spending hundreds of dollars on consultations with other surgeons I ultimately didn't choose. As a massive weight loss patient, I had heard many differing opinions from other surgeons. Myria patiently explained why Dr. Kohan recommended certain procedures over others. Most of our communication is done by text, which I love because I hate phone calls. Once my surgical plan was finalized and financing was in place, I paid my deposit and had surgery two weeks later. You're not required to have surgery so soon, that's just what worked best for me! Myria is a tiny but mighty powerhouse who keeps the office running like a well-oiled machine. She even stayed with me during pre-op, reassuring me that everything would be okay. After I returned home, I struggled to find local hyperbaric oxygen therapy placed and Myria even researched options for me. She is efficient, caring, and incredibly dedicated. Christina - Surgical Nurse Tina was with me before, during, and after surgery. She is incredibly kind and helped keep me calm by chatting with me before the procedure. When I woke up, she was right there asking how I felt. She offered me applesauce, called my family back once I was awake enough, and personally wheeled me to the car. Catherine Although I haven't met Cat in person, she has been incredibly helpful. She handled paperwork for my employer, answered medication questions, called in additional pain medication when needed, and followed up to make sure I was able to obtain my prescriptions once I returned home. Nurse Leslie Leslie has been the nurse at all of my post-op appointments, and she is wonderful. She is kind, patient, and highly knowledgeable. Early in recovery, my stamina was very limited, and when she removed my sutures, she let me take breaks and even let me sit when I felt dizzy while removing the sutures. Tanya - Anesthesiologist She was funny, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I told her that I have severe anxiety about surgery, and she made sure I received medication before we walked to the OR. She also gave me her personal number in case I had medication-related questions. Sophia Sophia is the friendly face who greets you when you arrive. Since I fly in from out of town, she has worked with me to schedule appointments around my flights, which has been incredibly helpful. Final Thoughts Dr. Kohan and his team have exceeded my expectations in every way. Their skill, professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine compassion are unmatched. I had someone there to support me every step of the way and they continue to. Prior to my septoplasty, I'd been unable to breathe through my left nostril due to a catastrophic sled riding accident I had as a kid, four decades ago. The surgeons back then did their best to put my nose back together, but my nose had lost its original aesthetic and like I said, I was mostly unable to breathe through one side. Not only did Dr. Salibian do a remarkable job at rebuilding a severely damaged septum, but he corrected the aesthetic damage at the same time. The work is perfect. When I was considering whether or not to tackle the aesthetic damage, I asked a very close friend who's an esteemed plastic surgeon in San Diego (specializing in breast augmentation and explants; he doesn't do septoplasty) for advice. He cautioned me that many if not most plastic surgeons doing rhinoplasty do mostly women so the tendency when doing men is to over-feminize. He asked for photos of Dr. Salibian's prior work, which I sent to him. He came back with a resounding "Go for it!!" I'm so glad I did. It's hard to explain, but my nose looks 100% better, perfectly balanced and symmetrical, while at the same time looking like my nose. I think people can tell something looks better without putting their finger on it and THAT is the dream. Put simply: Dr. Salibian is a very talented artist. Another intangible that I believe is absolutely crucial to the outcome in most surgeries, especially those involving aesthetic work, is the character of the physician. You will not find a finer human being than Dr. Salibian. You will not find a more caring human being than Dr. Salibian, and that extends through his office to William who makes sure everything runs smoothly from scheduling to making sure you understand absolutely every element of the procedure from stages of prep through stages of healing with a genuine caring and empathy. Again, it's hard to explain how important this is, and the degree to which they care. You almost immediately feel that they believe their investment in your overall well-being will affect the outcome. And it does, thankfully. Dr. Salibian and William were in constant contact with me right up to the surgery and for the weeks following. Absolutely nothing was a surprise. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I even went to my sister's plastic surgeon and he wasn't the right fit. I started my consultation journey about five months after my twins were born and I was about 30 pounds heavier than my usual weight. Dr. Zarrabi was not only incredibly thorough during the consult but SO SO honest. He was the only surgeon who showed me how I would look if I went into the procedure being heavier than my ideal weight. When asked if I was happy with how I would look if we did the procedure now, I said no. Dr. Zarrabi was the only surgeon who was honest encourage me to try to get to my goal weight before proceeding with surgery. He was also the only surgeon to advise me that I had muscle separation in my stomach which needed repair. One year and 40 pounds later, I had my mommy makeover a week ago.
