Yesterday I had the chance to return to Emily's for the first time since January due to COVID. I felt completely safe and comfortable during my first mani pedi in over 6 months. Each employee wore protective equipment and they had plastic shields set up at each station to separate themselves and the client. I always prefer Emily's over any other nail location because I know they will do a great job and most of all that they won't skimp on quality and time. I appreciate that they set a timer for the massage and always make sure you're happy with the color you chose. At other nail locations I sometimes feel like just another client but at Emily's I truly feel like they care about their craft and want you to walk away satisfied. read more

Worst experience ever! Asking for French nail and the first lady couldn't even deliver. She even caused two of my fingers to bleed when she was removing the cuticle. I couldn't believe how rough she was to have caused it. Nail polish was applied in a very inexperienced way, which shouldn't have happened in a professional nail salon. The owner had to scrap it off and redo my nails again at the end. The whole experience was awful and I'll never go there again! read more

New owners - stay way!! The worst manicure I have received in my entire life and I have gotten a lot! She was teaching others at the same time and she is teaching them the wrong way! They destroyed my nails. They were hard, too much electric filing and buffing. They are as thin as paper now. I had really hard nails. They are splitting/breaking like never before. I will NOT be returning to this nail salon again. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. I'm not usually someone who comes on here and writes a negative review, but these ladies were so rude that I need to share my experience. The two ladies who rang me up were not nice at all. I asked the lady who was ringing me up that because I was paying in cash, would I get a 5% discount, and she just rolled her eyes and called someone else to help me. When I paid in cash the last time, the lady was extremely friendly and told me rather than me having to ask. The two ladies who helped me quoted me 3 different prices, and when I spoke up and said it should be $43 (I got an acrylic fill and express pedicure) then they said I was charged an extra $5 because of the shape I got. I was not told any of this when I was getting my shape done, and when I went home and looked at the price sheet, it says only coffin and almond shape would be charged an extra $5. I didn't even get coffin or almond shaped nails, I specifically asked for round, and yet they overcharged me. After this horrible experience, I will not be returning. There are other salons with better customer service and are honest about the prices. read more

This has been my go to nail place for about 3-4 years! Like every nail salon, if you don't ask for a specific person, it's quite the coin toss of how your nails will turn out. It's reasonably priced, adds extra if you add detail or specific ombré (etc). I personally love to ask for Amy, but it seems like they switch out girls every once in awhile. They are always so nice, but it really doesn't matter if you make a reservation or not, they always seem to not be prepared for you. They do get pretty busy, so make sure you go at a good time! As for my nails, I typically get a set of acrylics, which last me about 3-5 weeks. They always listen to what length, shape, etc that I want. Last visit I got gel which are great as well, however my lady cut my pinkie by filing too much. It's not the end of the world however I was concerned of it getting infected but so far so good! She immediately put alcohol and treated my cut which I really appreciated. They always use new and clean tools so I am never concerned with infections or anything like that. Overall I really enjoy this place and I always go for holidays, special occasions, etc. read more

Sort version: if you want good nails DO NOT HAVE TRACY DO THEM!!!! Why... So usually I would put 5 stars for this nail salon because everyone is sooo nice and welcoming but today was another story... today I had a new lady instead of who I usually have which I don't mind because my lady was busy. But this lady Tracy is new at Emily's and hands down the worst nail lady I have ever been to. I was getting a full set and she first told me that my nails were ugly then when she grinned my nails she kept hitting my cuticles which caused them to bleed. Then when she pained my nails which was white with glitter on top. My nails were yellow which I asked her why and she said it was because of the white under the nail and that has NEVER happened before. And she said she knew but didn't ask me if i wanted to still do it which obviously nobody that wants white nails wants them yellow. Then I was over her trying to do it over with the same nail polish because I was scared of the same results so I chose to do all my nails black and my ring finger a different color which she said I had to play $5 extra for which I've never had to do here or at ANY nail salon. If you want your nails to be just the way you want it DO NOT GO TO TRACY. I would go to Cristina!!! She's the best!!! read more

I went in to get my nails done for a trip I'm going on to celebrate my completion of school. I asked for a full set of acrylics and sat down at Annie's station. As she was putting on the acrylic tips, I noticed that most of them were crooked but assumed she would straighten them out as she cut them down the length I asked for. She trimmed them down but they were still crooked. I pointed this out and she said she would file them to be straight. She started putting on the powder acrylic and let that set. She began filing the nails and when she was done. They were still crooked. I also asked for a coffin shape, and left with square. Many people who get acrylics know which shape looks best on them and want to leave with that shape. As she was using the drill to smooth out the nail, she cut multiple fingers. Blood started to pool on my nail beds, which she then decided to rub acetone on, making them burn, but I guess it's clean. She painted my nails and I left. After leaving, I noticed the color was very splotchy in some areas and the nails were not smooth enough, which caused those little bumps to form. None of nails are the same length. When I match up one finger from both hands, one is dramatically shorter. I continuously told her that they were not the same length and she said she would fix it, which she obviously did not. I also noticed that when I pull the skin down on my nails, my nail is not fully covered with the acrylic nail. I am able to put another nail between the acrylic nail and my real nail. When this happens after I have a set for a long time, I know they are about to pop off. I am so disappointed in the service I received today. This was one of my favorite nail salons in the area and now I will never be returning. It is hurtful when I continue to say that something is off and she does not fix it. Why am I paying for something I did not ask for. I am not a confrontational person, so even pointing out the length issue and the crookedness was out of the box for me. Regardless, I paid and immediately left. One other important thing I noticed: none of their manicurist licenses were at their stations, which leads me to believe that they do not have them. Every other nail salon that I have been to has their licenses at their station. I am very dissatisfied with my experience and do NOT recommend this nail salon. read more

This nail salon really disappointed me. My friend got her toe infected and I really hope she doesn't end up in ER because of it. It's been 5 days and it is not getting better. On top of that the ladies working there were so rude, they used cuticle oil instead of lotion to massage our feet and legs. I have never seen anyone do that before! And then they tried to explain how there has to be additional charge of $10 for scrubbing our feet?!? Seriously?! Just the fact that my friends toe is infected shows that they haven't been using clean tools and we will definitely never go there again. Wow! What a wonderful nail salon! The salon itself is fantastic. The massage chairs actually feel great, unlike some that just poke and prod. The staff are very friendly and I was delightfully surprised that they set a 10 minute timer for your pedicure massage. Finally a pedicure where you actually get the full time promised in the description, yesssss!!! I honestly can't remember the last time a mani/pedi experience felt this relaxing and pleasant. Ok so let me start by saying AMAZING! Had a dual appointment at diamond and when we showed they weren't ready and it was cluttered and just not professional at all! So we cruised over here and it was spectacular! Service was great and the ladies were so nice! Even though we showed less than an hour until closing they worked magic on my gel manicure and my bestie who got a full gel set from scratch with NO shortcuts! Very clean and calm and beautiful! Recent remodel looks nice with the manicures now towards the front and two rows of pedicure chairs lining the walls behind. Even have a new pink butterfly pedicure chair for little girls. Fresh wall of nail polish like a rainbow to the left as you walk in. Clean and bright with pleasant, relaxing music playing. Honestly my visit stared off well but ended not as good as I expected. I believe she was the owner but she was very nice welcomed us in and I chose the second most expensive pedicure and I didn't realize it had an option of a leg mask or wax and my girl didn't even ask she chose for me while on the other hand my boyfriend has the chance to pick and then they were getting pretty busy so she quickly finished with me and left me there without giving me sandals because my sandals that I had on would of ruined my toes and since I was on my phone the whole time when getting home I realized she didn't even put a second coat of polish nor the top coat. Like really? This is not okay I'm paying to get these things done so I should be getting what I paid for. This place used to be my favorite Nail Salon in South Bay. Recently revisited and found out that owner of the salon has changed. Didn't see many familiar faces but still wanted to give it a try. Had my nails done by Tina. However, wasn't able to finish because she cut my finger and it was bleeding throughout the process. Instead of doing it more carefully, she blamed it on my skin being too dry and was impatiently getting it over with filling the other nail into uneven length. Eventually I had to stop her before it's finished and paid for the horrible work that she had done even though I was in pain and bleeding. There are so many good salons in the area. I wanted a little pampering with a friend for my 60th birthday, so made an appointment for us on my special day, to have a pedicure. We arrived on time and my friend sat down in the chair a couple of minutes before me as she had chosen her colors already. Someone immediately started working on her nails and the massage treatment. When I sat down I had to wait over 40 minutes before anyone worked on me. I had the sad experience of watching my friend get pampered as I sat as was not attended to. I pointed out the wait time to "Tammy" the manager who just said "sorry". When my friend paid for us, there was no offer of compensation or a coupon etc for a future visit. If I make an appointment the manager needs to ensure that there are enough employees available to honor it. I called "Tammy" asking to talk to the owner a couple of days later, but she was not available, she supposedly took a message but I never got a call back. I called again for the manager a day later and "Tammy" hung up on me, which I found insulting. Customer service here was very poor. read more
