We recently did a wine tasting event at Total Wine--which was great and I highly recommend it--but the event unfortunately did not come with any food. We decided to purchase a $200 board from here for our party of 10 and it was PERFECT. The quality of the fruits, meats, cheeses, and jams was simply superb. There were also olives and small pickles that were delish too. The standouts for me would still probably be the fruit...I had no idea raspberries could be so sweet! Note that the board does NOT come with carbs but that is something that is easy enough to supplement with! Also place your order at least 48 hours in advanced (we failed to do this so are very appreciative of the last minute accomodation). Overall, I highly recommend this wonderful business!!! read more

I don't eat pork but will sometimes do beef/cheese in the same setting. Definitely not following kashrut but oh well, sometimes you can't help it with a good charcuterie set-up. My friend said the meats were outstanding. The Bella board is a mix of hard and soft cheeses. Ordering was easy. I picked a board online, and picked it up in-store right when they opened, at 11am. It was plastic wrapped, and came with wooden utensils. I'm excited to try out the duck prosciutto that they seasonally carry and the bresaola which is made with beef. Will be coming back for more boards! They're not located super close to me at all, but it's worth the drive. I can't wait to bring a board to another get together. read more

Bit of a disappointment.on a Sunday afternoon I began putting together an outdoor picnic for visiting friends the following weekend. The store isn't open on Mondays and Tuesdays so on Wednesday I walked in to order some items/boards for the festivities. Unfortunately they were unable to prepare anything because their "designer" is on vacation. Ok, I get it, vacations are good and they keep us balanced, but put a message on your voicemail or website so people ( me,I'm people!) don't make a special trip to your storefront for nothing. Time is money and the customers time is of value too. First impressions are important and unfortunately this was not a good one. read more

With the closing of Sherman Oaks Cheesemongers it was good to see a new cheese shop open in the neighborhood. I went in specifically looking for a cheese (Istara from Spain) that I had had before and loved and wanted it for a Christmas cheeseboard. It is not easy to find right now and my gourmet food store is having a hard time with their shipper as well, so I thought I'd check out Charcuterie. The shop is quite small but has a respectable number of good cheeses. The people were pleasant and knowledgable and although they did not carry Istara I was given a similar cheese to sample and it was spot on. Delicious and nearly identical to what I was looking for. They did say that they could check with their supplier to see if the Istara could be ordered, so I appreciated that. If you are looking for some good cheeses and specialty meats for your holiday get-togethers stop in, they might have what you are looking for or they can put something together for you. read more

We ordered a small Bella Board for a recent paint and sip, and it was Fabulous! It was not only beautiful, but chock full of yummy meats and cheeses. We had the option of adding a fresh baguette, but found the delicious crackers that came with it to be more than enough. It was a little pricey, the platters advertised on their website are called the "date night" and are meant to provide enough for 1-2 people. We ordered the small, which provides enough up for up to six people, and found it to be reasonable for what we got (we split the cost). This shop also has a nice selection of meats and cheeses and specialty drinks you can purchase to create your own works of art! And, I have to give a shout out to LaLa and Edith, who run the shop: they are both warm and friendly and extremely helpful!
