You cannot go wrong with Cheese Sommelier! I ordered an 18x14 Cheese & Charcuterie Board through email and had it delivered the next day. It was easy to coordinate and was a big hit at my rooftop deck get-together - everyone remarked how great it look and the quality of the ingredients. I will be ordering again for sure. Thanks!

Yelp messaged Lina about a week ago for a quote on a cheese board that would be good for 8-10 people and include vegetarian options. She got back to me promptly with her menu and pricing and we continued to work out the best option for my needs. I was worried I might be asking too much or trying to sub too much but she assured me: "We customize until we drop :)" The board order was finalized and you can't beat the price. Arrived exactly on time and the recipients were stunned. In the end, I ordered the small cheese board subbed with more crackers & fruit to replace the meat and the price was amazing for what arrived. On the tray, was a good assortment of cheese styles (10 in total, i think), 1 tiny pot of honey, 1 tiny pot of apricot jam, dried and fresh fruits, crackers and baguette, candied nuts, edible flowers and herbs. The board was completely filled, it was more about exploring than just tasting. I'd definitely recommend Cheese Sommelier to anyone that wants to impress via charcuterie board.

I ordered a cheese and charcuterie board via Yelp/email on Saturday for a Sunday morning get-together. The communication was great and they were flexible about a few specific requests I had. The price was super reasonable and they delivered promptly on the early side of the delivery window. The board itself was gorgeous and everything was so delicious! I almost never leave reviews but I was so blown away by the product and service. Will definitely be ordering again!

Our second experience with this company was as great as the first. Beautiful, plentiful trays of high quality cheeses, meats and veggies. Delivered right on time. Everyone at my party raved about them.

AMAZING BUSINESS!!!! I had a last minute party emergency and they delivered a GORGEOUS cheese and fruit plate to my door within two hours!!!!!! Thank you!

Easter Sunday post brunch I'm feeling a charcuterie board, super last minute and knowing it was a holiday I called the Cheese Sommelier and made the entire day! Me and my friends were all blown away by the detail of this charcuterie board, it was as beautiful as it was tasty! It came loaded with 11 cheeses, I believe 4 meats, a jam, honey and crackers / bread to bring it all together. To start they asked if I had any preferences, or things I didn't like so they could customize the board to my liking. I will never order another charcuterie board from anywhere else in the LA area, they absolutely hit this out of the park! And as a plus they included edible flowers, and a few edible buzz buttons, which are flowers that give your mouth a tingling sensation and almost feel like pop rocks, weird but a cool addition to this amazing spread

Nothing short of amazing! From my first phone call to the ease of communication over text to the spectacular quality of the meats and cheeses. My BFF and I wanted to surprise our girlfriend for her birthday. Lina and her team at Cheese Sommelier made it so easy. The price was highly competitive and reasonable. Our girlfriend was soooo happy. Thank you so very much for making our charcuterie dreams come true for her birthday!

I loved my experience ordering from Cheese Sommelier! I searched yelp and found this place and one other place (lady & larder) but the l&l place never called me back at all:(. But Cheese Sommelier was super super attentive and really helped me order exactly what I wanted for my friend (this was a gift). I requested a cheese with truffle and she asked what my giftee preferences we're and really accommodated! And she even updated me when it was complete with a picture of it and texted me when it was delivered. Such Such detail for attention. I will definitely purchase from here again ;)

Gorgeous boards! Fast, easy and well worth it! Super friendly and helpful staff! They really listen to what you ask for and they make great recommendations. Communication is instant and efficient!

Chosen with care and utmost attention. Thank you for a wonderful gift for a special birthday.

I ordered a basket for my brother's birthday but don't live in LA. They chose everything for it according to his dietary limitations and even went searching for his favorite: grapes. The time and care to choose just the right touches went well over the 100%. This was a wonderful way to show I care from so far away. Order from here and you will get top quality for a fair price. Thank you!!

The BEST and most DELICIOUS cheeseboard. Even delivered to me. Such wonderful service and will be coming back for all my charcuterie board needs.

Parking was also a breeze since they have their own dedicated parking spaces behind the shop. As for the food, I ordered the Mortadella sandwich on focaccia bread, and it completely exceeded my expectations. What first caught my attention was the pistachio pesto, and I'm so glad it did. The sandwich is made with mortadella, Swiss raclette, pistachio pesto, cuatros manos chili crisp oil, and arugula, and every ingredient worked perfectly together. The flavors were rich, savory, nutty, and balanced with just the right amount of heat. One bite and I was hooked. This is easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The prosciutto sandwich I ordered was fantastic! The bread was nice and warm, and all the different flavors in the sandwich worked really well together. The flavor of the prosciutto was definitely the star of this sandwich. It was obvious that all the ingredients were high quality. I'll be returning here to try their other sandwiches. I'm intrigued by their bresaola sandwich, so that's gonna be the next one for me.

I had to scrape it off just to eat it as the mustard completely overpowered the sandwich. * Salmon Sandwich: Very bland and lacked flavor. Side sales were bland. We had to ask for extra dressing. * Iced Coffee: There was something "weird" floating in my coffee. Between the hygiene issues on the patio, and the mediocre food, I won't be back. Each numbered offering only includes a handful of ingredients, but they remain some of the most popular in the city. The shop even earned nods from Eater LA, The Infatuation, and the "Sandwich King" Owen Han. Larchmont Wine & Cheese is smack in the center of Larchmont Village, among high-end chains like Levain Bakery and Faherty. The serif-font black-and-white sign out front is unassuming yet timeless. Worn wooden tables are arranged underneath the red awning, and the windows are stacked with beverage boxes and wine barrels. Inside, the shop is split into sections. Past the refrigerators and pantry goods to the left, join the queue of the fluorescent-lit deli. To the right, shelves are stocked with countless wine bottles. The walls are decorated with an eclectic assortment of wine- and cheese-related artwork and Californian knickknacks. The shop is quiet apart from the low din of back-and-forth between staff and customers. I called in my order shortly before the lunch service, and shortly thereafter, my sandwiches were ready for pick-up from the standard checkout line (entirely bypassing the deli queue that stretched to the entrance). Broadly, the tangy balsamic nicely cut through the richness and saltiness, but the bread overwhelmed the skimpy portions of protein. Both bread options were disappointingly flimsy rather than crisp; of the two, I preferred the chewy baguette to the floppy ciabatta. The most well-rounded sandwich was the #3 Soppressata Salami, with salty meat, rich spread, and acidic vinegar; nonetheless, I found the sun-dried tomato spread to be one-dimensionally mayo-y. The #5 Imported Italian Prosciutto was simple yet effective, although only half of the bites had any amount of mozzarella. Lastly, the #7 Fresh, Homemade Tuna Salad was on the better end for a tuna sandwich, but the subtly creamy flavor wasn't anything to write home about. Surprisingly, the most notable component of the meal was the crunchy, flavorful cornichon pickles. Service was efficient, and my bill ran $20. The "half"-sized sandwiches were fair in portion and price, and this option made it easy to sample multiple varieties. Nonetheless, the generally "good" sandwiches never reached "great", and they certainly don't make my shortlist for best sandwiches in the city. Larchmont Wine & Cheese might be worth it if you're already in the neighborhood, but don't plan a dedicated visit out of your way.

As I'm writing this, it's 11:39 PM, which is honestly the perfect time for one of these sandwiches--and look at that, they're open. That's kind of the point. This place shines late. A lot of the reviews that drag the rating down are straight-up delivery problems, not food problems. You're already paying more than a classic NYC bodega chopped cheese (which should be like $9), then you tack on delivery fees, then your DoorDash driver stacks orders, and by the time it gets to you... you're mad. And instead of being mad at the situation, people take it out on the restaurant. That's not on them. Here's a practical reason your tots aren't crunchy when you order delivery: the containers don't have ventilation holes. Steam builds up. Soft tots are inevitable. Either they start punching holes in every box, or you accept your fate ‍. This is another reason to eat it fresh. Inside, it's simple--walk up, order, wait. It looks like a bodega, just about ten dollars more. But if you're there in person, there's actual customer service. You can shoot the shit while your food's being made, get it hot, and eat it the way it's supposed to be eaten. Our expert behind the counter suggested the Giorgio Soppressata Piccante ($25.80/lb.) and sliced two huge pieces for us to try...sold! I'll definitely be back for the great customer service and tasty product! Yelp Challenge 2018: 36/100
