Absolutely love this place! Their assortment of vegan cheeses is incredible! They also have vegan sandwiches and pizza as well as other menu items to go with their expansion into the next store front. Cheese Shop and Restaurant. I ordered a Caprese which was absolutely divine and I'm thinking about it as I type this review. My husband ordered a pizza and that will definitely be what I order next time. It was so good! Whether you're vegan or not this place is a must try. My non vegan husband loved it. Oh and they also have the most amazing crunchy bread that you can also buy a loaf of which we did because it wasn't enough for me to have it to house my caprese. Parking is easy peasy in their lot.

Go for the vegan cheeses, stay for the wonderful owner. Or vice versa. Or both things equally. Yoseff Vromage is the knowledgeable, friendly small business owner, making gourmet vegan cheeses, delicious vegan pesto and pate. My fav cheeses are the mozzarella and the spicy cheddar. He makes a mean sandwich on incredible gluten free bread too! I bought a variety of cheese for a party I was throwing and my husband and I came back for us. I feel like I found a special little shop like you'd find in Europe or a small town but this is right off Sunset Blvd in L.A.! A gem!

This place is a one-man shop. All the cooking, serving, and counter work is done by a single person. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the owner, a sweet man with so much passion about his food and business. He sat us down and guided us through the options. We weren't provided a physical menu, but the menu is simple enough that it was adequate for him to just tell us the options. We ordered the pizza and the sandwich. Pizza - hot and delicious! It was fresh out of the oven and the ratio of crispiness to softness was perfection. The best part was the cheese on top. Sandwich - solid choice. Keep in mind that the baguette is very hard and crispy. Just nextdoor, he has another shop where he sells the actual cheeses and gelato. Worth checking out!

A delicious vegan cheese spot for all of my fellow vegan/non-dairy folks! I absolutely love getting the Caprese sandwich both times I've been here and most recently I tried a Truffle Brie which was absolutely delicious. Customer service is great and store has a cute/authentic feel but is quite small. Parking is also limited in the little strip mall so I would recommend getting your cheese to-go!

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to check this place out for some time. We live on the westside in Santa Monica and as vegans who are also gluten-free it's hard to always find good places we can comfortably eat. We miss cheese a lot and so we ventured over to Vromage after hearing a lot of people recommend the place and the products. There seems to be two separate entries. One side they are building a cafe and the other you can buy the products where they are prepped. It had such a beautiful classic Italian feel which I appreciated in its authenticity. The owner Youssef was attentive and so friendly. We actually came in for a sandwich which he sells and made on sight. We both got Caprese with their gluten-free bread and let me tell you, it was bordering one of the best gluten-free/ vegan sandwiches I've ever had in my life. The bread was warm, crisped and didn't taste like styrofoam like most gf breads and the homemade cheese was outstanding. Creamy, flavorful and tasted like real mozzarella which is one of my favorite cheeses from before I was vegan. This place is a little gem hidden in the heart of LA and I think everyone should know about this place whether vegan or not. I will also say the potions and prices were very fair considering. Bottom line, we cannot wait to come back and indulge!

Vromage is DELICIOUS!!! I cannot believe I just found this place, but I took my husband here on his birthday to get something to go for the Getty. This is truly the best cheese ever AND it's all whole food, plant based ingredients. The owner was there and was incredibly kind and passionate about his cruelty free creations. This place leads with the quality of their dishes and not just that it's vegan which is important. You're gonna love what you get and feel good about what you've purchased. Whether you're plant based or not, this is a fabulous find and they're about to open a cafe for dine in service next door. I'll be dreaming about this sandwich until next time!

Oh goodness! Tried this place for the first time today! Absolutely delicious! I got to meet the chef/owner as well! He's a culinary master. I got a Sandwhich to go and can't wait for them to open the sit down. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for the delicious food.

    What is vegan cheese?

Vegan "cheese" is non dairy cheese. Blended cashews has a similar taste to dairy as a result many vegan "cheeses" are cashew based.

This larger space now serves as a cheese shop, upscale market and fast-casual eatery. I came here for lunch after walking through GCM and not feeling inspired. They still offer a large case of cheeses from around the world, which can be purchased by weight. I think a large part of their business is creating made-to-order charcuterie platters and boards of cheeses and meats. In their deli case, they have grab and go plates of 3 cheeses (meat optional), pickles and dried fruit. The gourmet market also offers fresh produce, specialty items like premium butters, Rancho Gordo beans, house made items like chicken stock, pickles, etc, and meats. Plus fresh juices and lemonade and canned/bottled drinks. I came for the eatery. They offer cold sandwiches and breads, plus made to order hot sandwiches. They have an attractive Sunday Brunch menu also. I went with the ham melt, which is their OG grilled cheese with ham added. I also ordered their "Always Creamy Tomato Soup", both to go. The soup was delish. It came with garlicky croutons which alas were soggy by the time I ate them. The sandwich was excellent. It had 3 different cheeses, ham, and caramelized onions on brioche. It was grilled to perfection with a substantial cheese skirt, and came with pickles and whole grain mustard. A very tasty lunch and a nice alternative to GCM. They had a fair amount of seating if you decide to eat in. I'd definitely shop their market more extensively next time, and would like to try their brunch someday. They also have a wine/champagne/tinned fish bar next door called Kippered, that was packed when I walked by in the evening.

And used the Order on Line feature to place my order for pick up. I was feeling adventurous and veered from my usual Burrata Salad and ordered the Truffle Parma Burrata Sandwich (panino) and headed over for pick up. I remembered why I don't stop by as often as I'd like, the parking lot is awkward, despite the kind and attentive parking lot attendant. Squeezed into a compact spot that had an over sized truck next to me that made for maneuvering in and out of my compact vehicle a bit ridiculous. Walked in, picked up my sandwich and headed back to work to enjoy it. Now I'm in no way complaining, but this sandwich is exactly what it says it is, fresh ciabatta bread, fresh burrata cheese (yum), prosciutto, caramelized onions (perfection) and truffle cream sauce. Everything delicious but the truffle cream is pretty potent, be aware. Maybe they went a bit heavy on the Truffle Cream sauce but it was just too rich & potent for me today. (I ended up just scraping the burrata cheese off and eating that alone instead of the second half of the sandwich, and yes I'm a truffle fan). Will I be back, absolutely! Would I order this particular sandwich again, no. The Burrata House is pretty small, so just a small wall counter and bar stools inside to eat and a few tables outside to enjoy your meal.

My first visit was a few months ago, and I felt like I was bothering our server for water refills, napkins and other things. It was a Saturday night and while it was not packed, it took about an hour to get 2 panini's. Went today for my birthday, and my adult son told the server that the three of us were sitting on patio. Server shows up with 2 menus and 2 glasses for water. Sees me and scolds my son for not telling her that there was a third person. She brings a 3rd glass but never a 3rd menu. I specifically mention that we are here for happy hour specials. There is only 1 other table occupied, otherwise it's empty. We wait over 20 minutes to place our order. 1 personal board supposed to be $10. Plus (2) panini's. Wait another 30+ minutes... get our food and that's it. No check in - no water refills. My son goes and gets the server for a box and to order another personal board. We wait another long period to get it. I go inside to taste some cheese. We add on something to our bill. It was $104... I do some quick math and assume the price is because of the cheese I added to the bill. I add a tip on the lowish side, because we didn't really get any "service" to be worth the $18 I added onto it. I get home to review the receipt... and was charged $20 for the personal boards + the add ons... I am so let down. I spent $130 and didn't get awesome service or the happy hour discount. I was expecting to pay $50-$60 ish, and this caught me off guard. I have learned my lesson and won't be going back.
