I came here on a weekday a little before 1pm and unfortunately they were already sold out of a lot their pastries. While the pastries they still had looked delicious and enticing, I wanted something savory and the only option left had jalapeños in it, which I wasn't feeling. The cashier convinced me to go with one of their breakfast options and I looked through the menu to see a few good options on there. I ended up going with the Egg and Cheese Croissant with Dukkah, mostly because I wanted to see what their croissant was like! I found a seat at a table inside and despite being a small cafe, they have ample seating. The ambiance was cozy and made me feel like I was in a Parisian cafe for a moment while the seats were very comfortable. I felt relaxed and at ease while waiting for my food to come out. It came out fairly quickly and came with a salad and a lemony dressing. The croissant was so soft and flaky and nice and warm in my mouth. It really sopped up the flavors of the just egg omelette and melty vegan cheese. The dukkah added its own magical seasoning and enhanced the flavor of the croissant. I would highly recommend this dish! It is a bit pricy but well worth it. I was a bit confused on where exactly the restaurant was, as I at first walked into the non-vegan counterpart, Chaumont, which is located to the right of this cafe. I realized after that this in fact was the wrong cafe and then when walking out saw the vegan labeled above the door next door. Parking is very easy in the surrounding neighborhood or in one of the many 2 hour free garages the city of Beverly Hills provides. I will definitely be back soon! read more

I'd heard about how delicious this place was from a couple of my friends who frequent both this location and the non-vegan location next door so I came here with my vegan friend to check it out as a non vegan. FOOD 3.5 The food took a bit to come out but once presented was lovely. The portion size was more than enough to enjoy some for now and some for later if I wanted, and the plate up/presentation was beautiful. It felt like getting a taste of the forest brought right to me. As far as flavor went I got the feta omelette and thought it was okay but could've been a bit more seasoned/flavorful. It was a dish made with being healthy in mind. My friend who got the same thing and is a vegan was obsessed so I wonder if my palate and how I receive seasonings differs significantly because I do eat meat. I did enjoy the "feta" and fluffiness of the "omelette" itself. I got the Chai as by the time I got there they were out of matcha for the day. It was okay. SERVICE The service was fine no special praise or complaints there. I would say that because we came in an hr and a half before closing time I appreciated them allowing us to enjoy our time inside eating and catching up without making us feel rushed or like they were closing when they were in fact preparing to close, and for that I thank them. AMBIANCE I loved the decor of the place. It had lots of beautiful flowers and plants which is one of my favorite aesthetics. The flow of the place was done well and so was the lighting and lounge/inside dining area. It was beautiful and great for picture taking. Overall I regret not trying a pastry as EVERYTHING I saw looked so beautiful and that's what my friends were initially raving about. I do want to go back and get a pastry from them, try their matcha, and go next door and try their food to compare the flavor profile. Absolutely outstanding. Chaumont Vegan is the best vegan bakery I have been to date. The good: -Top marks go to the: cinnamon roll, ham & cheese croissant, ube croissant, and guava & cream cheese pastry. -Pastries are flakey and buttery without being too overwhelming. -Aesthetically, everything looks great. It's so hard to find a full vegan pastry shop with croissants and here we are! I've only been to one other in Miami and I'm so glad to see you. We have one on the West Coast with its own creative twist. We had a hard time deciding on what to try so we got a bunch to take with us to go. It shouldn't be too surprising to say they were all amazing and I'm not saying that just because their croissants and croissants are delicious, but they actually are great in texture, not too greasy or buttery like the ones you find at Whole Foods. They wear this light, airy, flaky croissant with unique fillings inside that weren't too decadent or sweet to take away from the pastry. Some personal standouts that I would love to come back for is a cinnamon roll, guava, cream pastry, in the Ube croissants. The cinnamon roll was just the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. I love the idea of a croissant cinnamon roll. It didn't even need any icing. It was perfect. The guava cream also just happened to be the perfect texture and balance where it wasn't too sweet or heavy. The Ube croissant is just so unique. I've never seen a vegan one anywhere before! I'm so glad they offer it. I 100% recommend. You really can't go wrong with anything even if you want savory the ham and cheese was good. I guess you just have to go there and see what they have available and what you're feeling. Service was phenomenal. He was super friendly answered all of our questions. Ahhhh I love this place. After we left, we were wishing we had got more. I guess I just need to go back asap. The vegan side is right next door to the regular side. They even share a kitchen, which did make me wonder about cross contamination. The bathrooms on the vegan side were out of order, so I used the bathroom on the non vegan side. It wasn't the cleanest, but that makes sense since it was being used by so many people. The non vegan side was PACKED. And the vegan side only had 4 groups of customers. It boggles my mind that people are still choosing to harm animals when they can have something just as tasty with exploitation. You order up at the counter and then they bring you your food. I really wanted the ham and cheese croissant but they sold out before I arrived. So instead, I ordered a breakfast croissant, an early gray croissant, and a latte. Everything was so insanely good! I've had a lot of vegan croissants, but these were the flakiest. Pieces would flake off if you just looked at them. Haha. The filling inside the earl grey croissant was insanely good! Lots of choices including croissants and muffins. It's about $6 for the Matcha Latte. Thick and full of flavor, good stuff. It's about $16 for the omelets. The Feta Omelet could fool someone for the real thing. It comes with a piece of bread. The omelet has avocados, dill, vegan feta, onions, tomatoes, and za'atar. More filling than it appears. Can you guys NOT make your savory options sweet? What gives?! There's agave on the pepperoni one AND the forest roll has savory cheese (not cream like the guava one) and FRUIT?! Why!!! I will note the pecan banana walnut bread was good. It was soft; but was it worth the $8 for a slice? I'd say not. The choices were limited, not as seen on IG. The coffee average-- I got a cappuccino in oatmilk. I'd suggest getting a real coffee across the street at Blue Bottle or even Levain. I was surprised that during spring/summer their specialty drink was still- a pumpkin spice latte. I would like to be fair and say, their lunch was well done. I had the tofu bowl and it was something special. As for the service, the folks are nice, but not efficient. We were offered additional condiments with lunch-- but they never came. Bringing out our croissant and piece of loaf, took a bit, which I didn't understand why, since all that happened was it came plated. While it's in Beverly Hills, there is nothing spectacular about the location or ambiance of the shop. Chaumont Vegan is a little French bakery located in South Beverly Hills. It's a cute little shop located next door to its non-vegan namesake and counterpart. There is metered parking on the street and tons of walkable shops around. It is only open for breakfast and lunch (6:30am to 3pm). Inside is a small curated selection of goodies. All the desserts here would pair well with coffee or tea which they also sell. They are most famous for their croissants. The strawberry and earl gray croissants looked beautiful. I loved how some of the pastries were presented on grandmillenial china in the display. We ordered an olive pizza and the olive oil cake. The olive pizza was more of a croissant pizza than a regular pizza. It was a light snack and more fluffy than crunchy. It was pretty small for $6 price point but it was the only savory item I found that I could take to-go and I am happy I tried it. The olive oil cake was wonderful! It was super moist which I think is a really important component when it comes to vegan pastry. The frosting was melt in your mouth tasty and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was a very light dessert. It was also quite beautiful to look at with the light green frosting and pretty flower on top. Most importantly, you would never think this was a "vegan" dessert if they didn't tell you. I would definitely order this one again. There is seating inside the restaurant but today was a beautiful summer day and everyone was sitting outside on the sidewalk under the table umbrellas. I've never been overly enthused about croissants but I am forever changed I tried the Ube croissant, pistachio croissant, raspberry olive oil cake, blackberry jam pastry, and chocolate vanilla bean pastry. Absolutely everything blew my mind! The chocolate vanilla bean pastry was my favorite, followed by the pistachio croissant but it's honestly hard to rank them because they all were outstanding. The flavors and textures were PERFECTION. They just opened a second location in Santa Monica and I sure hope they continue to open more locations and head to Orange County My only critique is that none of the items are labeled with what it is or the cost. It makes for slower checkout because you can only find out what things are when someone is helping you. I also like to know the prices so I can see how many items I can afford. I cannot get ENOUGH of Chaumont Vegan! Every time I'm in the area, I HAVE to stop by for a coffee - always immaculately prepared - and one (or several) vegan pastries. They're fresh, delicious & everyone I've gotten a box for ends up loving them. No one knows they're vegan! My absolute FAVE tho is the vegan ham & cheese croissant - legit takes me back to yesteryear. The entire staff is always super nice, helpful & knowledgeable - especially MICA! She is a DOLL, makes a killer soy latte and always brightens my morning when I stop by and she's working.
