The hummus was nice and creamy and flavorful, and the pieces of pita were toasted just right. But the real star of the show, was on a sign I saw when I parked the car. It said they had chicken paprikash. If you don't know what that is it's an amazing Hungarian/Slovak dish, which I don't see on the menu at restaurants much at all. It's chicken and a creamy gravy flavored with paprika. It's also served with spaetzle noodles. We asked the guy about it and he gave us a small taste. He said it was the recipe of someone's grandmother. something authentic, and it was LEGIT! The flavor and the spaetzles were amazing. I brought a bowl for my mom and dad also. My dad's mom used to make it, as did my mom. We were told that they only have this on Thursdays and Fridays, but sometimes they have some in the refrigerator. This place is a gas station convenience store, which may be a little off putting, but the food was good and the guy took good care of us too.
