Can anyone actually say they LIKE going to the dentist? I can!…read more Dr. Pham and his team are top tier! From the moment you step into the office, you instantly feel the good energy. I recently went in for a routine cleaning and a cavity filling--which I assume most people would dread. It was quick and painless, and Dr. Pham even had Netflix for me to watch during the procedure. That's just one example of how much he cares about his patients' comfort. Besides being a skilled dentist, Dr. Pham is honest and personable, which makes every visit easy and enjoyable. He also helped fit me for a night guard and reassured me that if it didn't fit or wasn't comfortable, he would gladly refit me with a replacement. So sweet! If you are looking for a dentist who is caring, skilled, and just a down-to-earth human being, I would most definitely recommend Dr. Pham! Thank you, Dr. Pham and team, for always being attentive and kind. I hope your business continues to grow and thrive!

I recommended her to talk to Dr. Pham and even though it was not his speciality, he was able to recommend the best dentists who could help her. She has been following their recommendations for a few months now and finally regained most of the feeling back in her chin! (Nerve damage takes longer to heal) Honestly, if it wasn't for Dr. Pham and his recommendations, my mom would have had numbness in her chin forever. It's hard to find a trustworthy dentist nowadays and I'm so glad I found Dr. Pham!

Being an empath and highly sensitive, I was looking for a compassionate and kind dentist, after…read moreunfortunate personal trauma took a toll on my dental health. I searched for "Compassionate Dentist" in hopes of finding one who would not judge, but rather help me relax, and feel safe. After reading all the stellar reviews, I had high hopes for this dentist. I reached out to them, explained my story, and they reassured me that they completely understand and will take great care of me. My initial consultation lasted about two whole minutes. Dr. Roshangar gazed into my mouth and told me to come back in two weeks to start the work, as they were very busy so nothing could be done on that day. No x-rays were taken, I was advised to forward any historical from my previous dentist, and I was charged $95 out of pocket because for some reason, my insurance wasn't going to cover the cost of that visit. Still deciding to come back 2 weeks later, I was ruining a few minutes late in rainy traffic. I called a few times, no response and when I walked in, exactly 9 minutes past my appointment time, the doctor was on the phone with another patient. I waited, went to wash my hands, and when I came out, the Dr. looked up and told me - "I have some bad news. Because you were late, you have to come back at another time we're very busy and we already have other patients lined up after you." I was stunned. I told her, "Dr., I was 9 minutes late, I apologize, it's raining and I kept trying to call, I drove long distance and I need to get work done on my teeth, will you really turn me away?" I pleaded with her and told her I was even willing to wait, if she would just see me after her other patients, but her response was to offer to put me on the schedule, two weeks out, and then she asked what's a good day for me "to be on time?" That's the compassion I received from this Doctor who touts to "connect one-to-one and heart-to-heart, and have real conversations with our patients." on her website.

They got me in within an hour of when I called and sure enough, I had an infection under one of my teeth and before I knew it, I was having a root canal. Due to the infection and needing to take antibiotics for a week, it took 3 trips, but the pain was gone almost immediately and except for the initial shoot on the roof of the mouth, didn't feel a thing. (I did take a pain killer that afternoon after the nerve was removed, there's nothing that can be done about that pain once the Novocain wears off). They did their best to schedule the remaining appointments around my work schedule which I greatly appreciated. I mustcompliment Dr. Berger. He's been my dentist for about 15 years now, and is so good at explaining what's going on, what's going to happen next when you're in the chair, and very careful to make sure you're not feeling any pain during the procedure. The front desk staff is amazing. Very friendly and efficient. As long as I live in the area, I don't see myself changing dentists for a long time.

I came to Orange Modern Dentistry for a routine checkup and cleaning, but unfortunately left after…read morenearly two hours without ever receiving the cleaning I came in for. Throughout my visit, I was asked multiple times by different employees when I had last had a dental cleaning, which I found unusual. Before my exam, I also had a very extensive series of X-rays taken. The part that concerned me most was the periodontal evaluation. The hygienist measured my gums and told me I needed a deep cleaning, which was extremely surprising because I have never previously been told I had significant issues with my teeth or gums. During the periodontal charting, my gum was also accidentally cut and became irritated. The dentist later came in, repeated the periodontal measurements, and got different numbers. After reviewing everything herself, she changed the recommendation and told me I did not need the full deep cleaning initially recommended, but instead recommended a more limited deep cleaning. By this point, I had been at the office for nearly two hours and was told I would need to come back another day for the actual cleaning. Because the recommendations and measurements had changed during the same appointment, I did not feel comfortable proceeding without another opinion. I went to a different dental office, where they performed another periodontal evaluation and told me my teeth and gums were healthy and that a routine cleaning was appropriate. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone who receives an unexpected treatment recommendation here to consider getting a second opinion before proceeding. I'm glad I did.

My previous dentist was very elderly and outdated, so I was really impressed by how comfortable and modern this office is compared to what I was used to. I've been seeing Dr. Christine for the last few years and she's absolutely wonderful. Dr. Christine has such a lovely personality and somehow makes going to the dentist actually fun! She's incredibly kind and gentle, takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, and has given me great recommendations for a new toothbrush and floss that I actually was excited about using. As a young woman, it's so lovely to have a female dentist that is up to date with modern dentistry. I also love that they have Apple TVs that you can connect your headphones to, so you can watch shows or movies during your appointment. The front office staff is also very friendly and makes scheduling appointments easy. I'm really happy I found this office and would definitely recommend Dr. Christine and Golden State Dental!

After my cleaning, Dr. Alec asked me a question I don't remember having ever been asked by a dentist before. "How do you feel about your smile?" You could tell it wasn't just some rehearsed question to wrap up the appointment with, but something he authentically wanted to know. Recalling all the moments I've conscientiously hid my coffee and smoke stained jagged teeth in photos, at social gatherings, and on dates, it was hard to respond with anything positive. Although my teeth were functional and definitionally clean, they were far from anything I could say I was proud of. After my experience with Dr. Alec and his team, I honestly can say that I cannot stop smiling! LITERALLY! Nor can I imagine going anywhere else in the future. His and his staff's professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for his patient's confidence in their smile leaves little left for wanting. Thank you, Dr. Alec, and everyone at Golden State! These people are horrible. Don't go here. I went last month for a quick oral biopsy. I say quick…read morebecause it took maybe 5 minutes, max. First - they claimed my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure, so I paid out of pocket. I later called my insurance company, and sure enough, they cover the procedure. When I confronted this place about it and told them I need a refund, they acted surprised. Why is this complicated? I made one call to my insurance company and told them the insurance code on the form and got the information. Why can't they have done that? After the biopsy was conducted, I waited for them to call me with an update. They did not call. I received the bill from the pathology lab, and they did their review within a day of my appointment. I again called these people, and the woman on the other line claimed she couldn't tell me what the pathology report said because she wasn't able to understand it. Hm ok. Not buying it, but that doesn't matter. I asked her to send it to me - it is MY medical record, after all - and she claimed she needed the oral surgeon's approval. The surgeon apparently insists on having people come back to the office for a "consult" even if the result is negative. So... basically an unethical billing practice? So the plan is to make me come in even if it's negative? To counsel me on what, exactly? Or just to charge me more money? Either way, I have been calling their office repeatedly asking for my results. They keep saying they can't get a hold of the surgeon and will call me back the same day with an update. They literally never call. I have to keep calling. This is beyond annoying and unprofessional, not to mention unethical. I still haven't heard back, and it's been a month of me trying. Go anywhere else. They deserve a much lower rating than they somehow managed to get.
