Loved this cozy place for games or just getting some work done. There are variety of games including card games. There is an option of hourly or unlimited play time. I was quite excited for the twice baked almond croissant, it's was crispy on the outside and the inside had a soft delicious filling. The chai was delicious though it could have been a bit hotter. The staff gave suggestions with a little nice lamination of different games and summary attached to each. The only issue I had was 2 little flying insects. I don't know if it's due to warmer weather and humidity the insects came in when the door was open or being next to the bathroom. the warmest most welcoming energy tucked away on the UWS - this cafe turned wine bar has ample chargers, cozy seating, and strong WiFi to make it any studying persons dream. - if you lose steam with your work, they have a flat rate of $5 an hour for any of their endless games. seriously didn't even know half these board games existed - they have strong cold brew and thankfully serve things in "for here" real glasses. they have a few bizarre creations on the menu yet to be dabbled in but the cold brew and Vietnamese coffee were perfect. - they didn't have an espresso machine....but maybe if enough of us go... they'll get one. read more

Finally found other working people to play mah jongg in the evening. Yes- they had mah jongg sets which was great so I didn't have to being one Sadly-it's too noisy! The music is low but other patrons were super loud, I could barely play. Not sure why these adult "children" don't know how to use their" inside" voices- not necessary to shout and scream inside a venue. I'll return to playing at home instead read more

Had a blast last night at Chaotic Good. My partner and I are big gamers, and they had a great selection of games. We played Calico, Guess Who?, and Only Murders in the Building, which were all very fun. The atmosphere is inviting and warm - the staff are very friendly, funny, and helpful. We tried their delicious decaf pour over, which was served in cute unique mugs. Definitely can't wait to come back for their events and to try new games soon! read more

Cute cozy nook spot, great to hangout with group or friend(s). They play low good music, nice coffee and tea; though many of the drinks are cold only. Place is pretty clean. Its has a cute cool vibe. Lots of nostalgic board games definitely for a particular type who enjoys games; games that make you think... If i lived close i would definitely return. read more

The concept of this place is nice but it makes me feel uncomfortable, first the sign that says 1 drink for 1 hr(never seems a cafe with this kind of sign) then ordered my drink and sit down on an empty table (cafe has multiple other empty tables) then the stuff came over tell me to move my things to make space for others(never heard such request before, I visit cafes on daily basis), after I sit down for a little while I think the internet became very slow and unusable, I think that's probably their way to push you out, overall, this place make me feel unwelcomed, will not come here again. read more

This place is incredible. Beautiful and comfortable, the staff are so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable about games, coffee, wine. This cafe is clearly managed with such love and care. Wednesday evenings here are some of the best trivia in the city. Great spot for a casual date, gaming with friends, or just getting some work done in a lively, joyful environment. Really love this addition to UWS as a 3rd place neighborhood spot to hang. They allow laptops in the mornings and have excellent wifi but will boot out laptops later in the day if they have gaming groups scheduled. Low key and friendly service. Sometimes disorganized but always earnest - almost like going to a friend's house. Well made coffee that comes in an assortment of fun mugs. Chunky comfortable glasses for their iced drinks. The small selection of baked goods were tasty. Loyalty card for regulars and a chance to win a free drink by rolling a die. The whole experience is basically the opposite of Starbucks. Place is new and finding its footing but been there many times and had great experiences. Haven't tried the food yet but I'm a fan the coffee options, love the funky mugs for people like me who sit for a while. Staff I found friendly and helpful. They do seem to have a slower mentality than say Starbucks, but that fits the vibe of the place as a third space for people. My kid did a few days of the tabletop nights and loved it. She wants to do it again with friends. The coordinator took a while to get back to me but once she did she was extremely accommodating including doing a group herself when we didn't quite meet the minimum player requirement. The coffee's good, as are the pastries. Place itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Love the idea of a games area--so nice to hear people talking and laughing in a coffee shop rather just the silence of people on their laptops. Went in on a Saturday afternoon with my husband. Crowded place, but we found a table in the back. We bought our coffees and sat down. After about 20 minutes the lady that took our orders came by to say that our table was reserved for customers who were going to play games and that if requested we'd have to leave the table. Not only the table/area had no signage letting us know that was a reserved area (in which case we wouldn't have made a purchase) but there were 2 groups of at least 5 people taking up the bigger tables that were all on their computers. So in sum; poorly managed space, overpriced coffee and rude employees. read more

Place must be new. We bought bread and bagels from this place. We didn't notice at first, but the bagels were burnt, which made them taste very bitter, they were also kind of bland in taste. Better bagels elsewhere. The bread was also awfully bland. Certainly not going back. Best to advoid this place if you like good food. read more

The premise of this place is pretty cool, but the staff is overbearing and unfriendly. They hounded my friends and me to pay multiple times when we had already paid. One of my friends asked a question about their menu and received a rude response. I acknowledge this place is new, so I hope they improve their customer service. read more
