    Burger Stromboli
    Jennifer K.

I want to love this place because of what it stands for to our local college football team, however, every time I go, it's not a great experience. The service is always slow, and the food is overpriced and only tastes ok, it's nothing amazing. I only went back this time to support their burger week, which was a burger Stromboli.

    Pina Colada slush!

Went here for the 1st time for lunch with my parents during our Myrtle Beach vacation on Friday May 10th 2024. First off, they have a cute pinball machine and a donkey kong machine up in the front. Love the vintage games that are there. didn't play though. Also, they have outdoor tables if one wants to sit outside. Also actually used yelp to look up what was around conway. We were greeted by the bartender, who immediately helped us, and told us we can sit in a high top. Server was very nice. First we started with 3 waters, then i ordered a pina colada, my dad and mom ordered a titos with sprite. My only complaint about the pina colada was that it was more of a pina colada slush, which was still tasty, but if one is expecting it to be creamier, yeah. That should be communicated to the customer though. Anyways, it was tasty and different though. They do have pizza here, and we ordered a personal pie of pepperoni. It is thinly sliced pizza, but i liked it, and it wasn't bad. My dad and I got the montrey chicken sub with the pasta salad, which i liked, and enjoyed it. Although i picked through the tomatoes, as i am not a fan of grape tomatoes. My mom ordered a salad which she enjoyed too. Server dropped off our check, we paid with a credit card. We also went to the restrooms, which were very clean, and retro! we left a cash tip and went on our way. If I move to SC, you'd definetely see me hanging out here!

Went yesterday it was a Friday..Pizza? How do you only sell 10 inch pizzas? You walk in and there are scattered tables on the left , a big bar with many people drinking at 12 noon! Walked to the back more tables and booths. There were 4 of us, two got the personal pizzas called Riverside one girl asked to change the sausage to pineapple ( which she also got charged $.75 extra for a substitute for the sausage?) the other had it as it was made. They looked pretty good.. I ordered the chicken bacon wrap with ranch dressing and upgraded my side to the bacon jam potato salad..The sandwich was ok.. it was dry and asked for a bit more ranch (charged $.75 for two teaspoons worth) the potato salad.. hardly edible the potatoes were undercooked and if they call the bacon bits bacon jam they need to try the real deal!! Our server Ashley G. was not very pleasant nor attentive. When asked by myself and the girl who got the pineapple on the pizza for ranch.. we had to ask another server and then she finally brought mine. The 4th person had the Turkey Turkey sandwich, she ate half and some of the pasta salad that she also said tasted horrible. Unfortunately no pics were taken of the food because we were hungry lol however the dishes they served food on I got pictures and truthfully they are not only a hazard to possibly cut someone but health wise they are a violation for dept of health with the broken edges where its porous and bacteria could grow in there!! Upon receiving our separate checks which was fine 3 of us paid cash and one by credit. One person only had a $100 bill and told our server that and she looked at her and rolled her eyes! No, we will NEVER go back to this place again!

Went in for lunch. Really nice vibe. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Located right near the park and boat docks, this is a great spot to stop. Reasonable prices as well!

We almost never have leftovers on pizza night - not even the crusts. Even when the pizza is mediocre, we still eat it. But tonight, I threw nearly $20 worth of pizza in the garbage can (1/2 of a Large Pepperoni and 1/2 of a Medium Cheese). I bought these pizzas for a family get-together tonight. We all agreed that the crusts were dry, burnt, flavorless (except for the charred taste), and were nearly impossible to chew. Can no one in this town make a pizza crust with raised dough, where crust is medium-thick, slightly spongy in the middle, and lightly crispy on the bottom? Cardboard pizza crust seems to be the accepted norm here in Conway. I will say that we liked the flavor of Bellissimo's sauce, cheese blend, and pepperoni.

That spontaneous decision turned into one of our favorite discoveries. We had just moved from Virginia to Conway and were still getting a feel for the area, so everything felt new. The restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, but the real draw? A peaceful view of the Waccamaw Riverwalk. Sitting outside, overlooking the water, we instantly relaxed--it was the perfect welcome to our new town. Then came the food--and wow. We were blown away. I ordered the seafood sampler loaded with shrimp, oysters, catfish, tater tots, and coleslaw. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. My wife went with the pulled pork dinner, complete with classic sides, pickles, and Texas toast. We swapped bites and couldn't stop raving about how good everything was--especially for the price. Coming from Virginia, I thought I knew BBQ--ketchup-based and familiar. But this was something else entirely. That rich, tangy mustard-based South Carolina barbecue completely changed my expectations. It was a delicious surprise that instantly made me a fan. Our waitress let us know they served brunch on weekends--so back we went. Same riverside view, same laid-back vibe, but a whole new level of indulgence. I ordered the Brunch Chimichanga--crispy, savory perfection--while my wife went all-in on the Brunch Burger: French toast, sausage beef patty, over-easy egg, bacon, American cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar, and hashbrown casserole. Yes, it was as incredible as it sounds. Now, Bonfire Taqueria isn't just a place we tried--it's a place we return to again and again. Great food, relaxing views, and a welcoming atmosphere make it one of our go-to spots to unwind, sip a drink, and soak in everything we love about downtown Conway.

There were plenty of free tables, but they didn't have enough servers, so that extended the wait. Service wasn't very fast, as a result. I got the shrimp and grits, and the portion size was pretty small, and the flavor was unremarkable. There was nothing wrong with anything. So I'd say it's fine. But it doesn't stand out, either.

The host very kindly escorted me there & what a great surprise! The Tap Room host, Joanne, saw me looking a bit lost & greeted me. I'm old school enough that as a woman I felt awkward being in an unfamiliar town in a bar full of strangers. Joanne reassured me & checked on me throughout the evening. I had a fabulous Old Fashion, enjoyed the multiple TV's & ended up conversing & laughing with a whole family who were also visiting. All around, a great experience that all started with Joanne taking me under her wing & making me feel comfortable. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Conway!

The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill Tucked right in the heart…read moreof downtown Conway, The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill is the kind of hidden gem you hope to stumble upon--and then can't stop talking about once you do. Helen and I discovered it while scouting out local spots, and its location couldn't be better--just steps from the scenic Conway Riverwalk, surrounded by charming shops and historic buildings. Even the street parking (easy parallel with a two-hour window) felt like part of the laid-back, small-town experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit just right: cozy, welcoming, and full of locals who clearly know a good thing when they see it. The staff made us feel right at home--friendly, attentive, and happy to help us navigate the menu. We kicked things off with the cold lobster dip, and let me tell you--this isn't your average appetizer. Imagine a creamy lobster roll transformed into a rich, indulgent dip, packed with chunks of lobster and served with warm pita points. It was the kind of dish you don't want to share... but have to. Helen went for the Reuben--perfectly stacked with shaved corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and house-made Thousand Island, all grilled on black rye. I opted for the seafood platter with fish and shrimp, cooked to perfection. The fries were hand-cut, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and while the jalapeño dill slaw had a bit more kick than I expected, the rest of the plate absolutely delivered. As we soaked in the atmosphere, we spotted a plate of loaded Brussels sprouts heading to another table--crispy, golden, tossed in garlic parmesan sauce, and topped with bacon and shredded parmesan. Safe to say, that's already on our must-try list for next time. And so is their "Everything but the Hen" wrap--a hearty combo of shaved steak, grilled shrimp, bacon, fresh veggies, provolone, and horseradish mayo wrapped up in a soft tortilla. Yes, it sounds as good as it looks. The best part? After a couple of beers, a full seafood platter, a loaded Reuben, and that incredible lobster dip, our total was still under $50--even with tip and tax. Great food, great prices, and a relaxed, local vibe--The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill has officially earned a spot on our regular rotation. We'll definitely be back for more.
